Every time I bring a car in, the service is done promptly, professionally, and with an obvious level of care and attention to detail. I trust these guys completely, and that's not something I say lightly when it comes to auto repair. Put it this way: if my car broke down and I had to push it to Douglas Auto, I'd push it right past every other repair shop along the way. And I'm not kidding. Great people, great service, and a shop that genuinely cares about doing the job right. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. Highly recommended.

He calls the next day to lie to my face and tell me that it is the blower motor(which was incorrect) that because it is a newer vehicle I could not get an "aftermarket" part. This was most likely done because I was a woman. Paul didn't realize I was raised by my dad who is a mechanic. So I finished the call with Paul playing the "damsel in distress" begging him to save me. I then hung up the phone and called autozone. When Autozone confirmed they had the aftermarket part in hand for 50% less than Paul wanted to charge me, I called Paul back Initially, Paul ate crow and agreed to install the part I purchased. But of course wouldn't guarantee the work. I said, It is a simple install. The part has a lifetime warranty its fine. So I dropped off the part. Paul of course was nowhere to be seen. The mechanic grabbed the part and walked away. Paul was quick to call me up as soon as I turned out of the parking lot to tell me the part was wrong. I told him I would be picking my car up. I walked in, they had supposedly my blower motor(from my vehicle) on the counter next to the one I purchased, however, it had an extra piece protruding from it to make it look different. I told them to give me my car and it escalated into a screaming match. They were going to charge me 149 to diagnose after giving me a 488 total charge which included parts, labor and diagnostics. Luckily Paul's temper got the better of him(he didn't like being called out for his lack of integrity). He said he didn't want my money and I waited in the parking lot for over 30 minutes while they"put my car back together" Hey Paul, it wasn't the blower motor you moron! Don't assume every woman who walks in the door knows nothing about cars. Integrity goes a long way in life Paul. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and do better next time! Be blessed!

Even though I live nearly an hour away, I still will go to them for all my auto repair needs (except oil changes, but even then if I can make it happen I'll go to Car One). There is almost no company or business I can think of that is better at customer service. If I was to right a dissertation on a PHD for "What makes a small business great" it would be about these guys. 1. They never lie to me. I trust them so much that I literally tell them "yes" to anything they say needs to be done to my car. This is due to them building up trust with me over the years to where I don't need to think about if they are trying to rip me off or not. They can see this review, so next time they see me, they COULD rip me off but I know they won't. 2. The customer service skills - they always seem to remember who I am the moment I say my name, even if I have not talked to them in over a year. Now, look at the attached picture. They literally filled out my mail-in-rebate for the tires I got from them. They even included the stamp!! They didn't have to do it, but they offered it without me asking and took care of it for me. 3. Loyalty. Read the other reviews on here. There is one guy who says he drives from Des Moines, IA because he refuses to go anywhere else. That's what it means to be loyal to a business. In Summary - there's no one better out there to work on your car. If you don't go here, it's your loss.

I called an my service advisor told me the work had to be done; sent me an invoice for cost and as I had a trip scheduled; I said do it. And that's when it all fell apart. 1. Part of the work was under warrantee, he wasn't aware of at first. 2. Then he told me they could not make repairs due to not having the parts. 3. Then it changed to he couldn't get car in because service team had the next 2 days off, 4. Then it was the car wouldn't be finished as the silicon had to harden. 5. I asked if I could make a 1400 mile trip with the car as it was, and he was like sure thing. Needless to say, I left feeling unsafe to be driving that distance and so I rented a car. It nagged at me~ did the car need immediate action? I called when I returned from my trip and spoke to Rich the Service Manager. He listened to my concern ; I had left with my car not having been repaired and I no longer felt safe driving it. More importantly I no longer had confidence in Brilliance Subaru. Rich stepped in and stepped up. He explained everything and listened to my concerns about "immediate action required". I told him, as a woman who does long distance driving~ any kind of driving, it's more dangerous if I break down on the tollroad. I need to feel safe in my care. I need my service advisor to tell me the truth about my vehicle and my safety. Rich made sure all the repairs were done and that my car was working. He apologized for the miscommunications, and I left feeling "safe". Brilliance fixed my car, explained it all, and I left on my next long distance trip in my own car, not a rental and it performed amazingly.
