Asian Female Driver. Know car repairs as much as fixing well, everything else. Like most people…read morein an unfamiliar area, I am always nervous about trying an auto shop for the first time. My car window was completed shattered by a thief in my neighborhood (Mayor Blasio, you should be ashamed to tell twitter about reduced crime rates). I called almost a dozen shops; Jim answered the phone with a price and told me that the repair could be done on the same day. When I arrived, I noted that the shops are manned by group of seasoned staff who talked straight. The waiting room was spacious and the staff who installed the window cleaned the window (wiped the edges several times) before fitting the glass into a space holder (a rubber frame) then putting the whole set back on to my car. The whole process took approximately 40 min. which is exact what I expected (when in double, google it). I paid what I was quoted over the phone. One day after the repair, I received a follow up text from the store just to make sure that everything is fine. It is a very nice touch in customer service, reflecting the pride and honor of the owner as well as management. As I drove away, another customer who had the same window problem came. I hope those who read this review would never ever need to replace his or her car windows due to theft or accident. If you ever do, I recommend this auto shop.

I went online and found Blue Star and they had great reviews. So I stopped by before work yesterday to get an estimate. I wasn't going to spend over $400. The boss complimented my taste in cars and said his young guy will fix it right now. Twenty minutes later it looked perfect (except for the many scratches from parking on the street in NYC for 14 years). I asked him how much-- let me just say I left there very very happy- and gave the guy a $20 tip for his quick work. I couldn't wait to tell the guys at work my positive New York experience!

I have been a loyal customer for the past 12 years, and they have never disappointed me. I've been in three accidents over the years, and each time, they handled my repairs with absolute professionalism and expertise. I also recommended two of my friends, and they were just as thrilled with the results as I was. Today, I picked up my Sienna, and once again, the work was flawless--professionally done to perfection. I was so impressed that I couldn't leave without treating them to coffee and donuts! The big boss is always welcoming, smiling, and ready to assist, making the whole experience even better. I highly recommend Bluestar Brothers Body Shop--without a doubt, this is the No.1 collision shop in New York!

I expected I'd need a new windshield. At G&R, they easily could have sold me one--but instead, Rosie at the front office said, "No, don't do that. Let's see if we can get it off." They removed it completely. Even better, they cleaned the entire car and didn't charge me for it. Honest, skilled, and genuinely kind people. They do windshield replacement, body work, and clearly much more--but they also do the right thing. I highly recommend G&R.

It was right before Thanksgiving and they took care of my car issue in less that a week, meanwhile I took it to the dealer before hand and it took them a week to tell me what was wrong with my car, they also didn't fix the issue that I took it in for, but instead they took it upon themselves to do other work on the car that I didn't ask them to do and billed me for it, the total cost was about $1,800 dollars and my car was in the same condition that I brought it into them for. To make matter worse, they wanted to charge me $6.800 dollars to replace my transmissions on top of what they had already charge me. A total rip off the deader are especially when the warranty has expired. I had a choice as to where I wanted to take my vehicle for servicing, but I chose N & M Transmissions because it was local to where I live, and I'm glad I did. Not only did they display great technical knowledge about transmissions, but they impressed me with their honesty, a rare commodity with auto mechanics these days. They explained everything to me in great detail so that I knew everything they were doing or planning to do, so there were no surprises. They're honest mechanic, they also told me about some other issues that I had with my car that the dealer should had taken care of. My car has been running great with a little extra power since I got it back from N & M Transmissions. Thanks N & M Transmissions James
