After a recent service at another shop in a different state, the engine light came on. I searched…read moreYelp for a trustworthy place and came across Alberto's, which had excellent reviews--and now I understand why. I brought my car in to have it checked out, and Jay went above and beyond. He carefully ran diagnostics to identify the issue, explained everything clearly, and offered thoughtful advice. His recommendation was to try a catalytic cleaner first and see if the light came back on. What really stood out was the time he spent with me, ensuring I understood my options, and the fact that he didn't charge me anything despite so much help. He also provided a few solid recommendations for future car care. If I ever have another issue with my car, I'll definitely be returning to Alberto's.

My car was sitting for two years and I knew it needed some maintenance to become operable again. I…read morehad it towed to M&M auto after their shop came recommended to me. A day after, I got a call from Mark who said that the car was good to go and that it had no issues for driving. I was surprised and happy to hear that. I paid $160 and picked up the car soon after and started driving it back down to Brooklyn. I quickly learned that M&M had spent no time working on my car. There was a range of issues. There was a scraping sound of the inside of the bumper falling off whenever I drove. The car was in desperate need of an oil change. The brakes were so worn down that they were unsafe for driving and the car rattled whenever I drove. On top of all these issues, the car had tires at 10 PSI (they are normally supposed to be at 33 PSI). Finally I learned that the car's horn didn't even work when I needed it most on my drive back down to the city. I called multiple times frustrated about what I even paid for. I felt lied to when Mark told me that my car was good to go when it clearly was unsafe to drive and wouldn't pass state inspection in its state. I felt gaslit by the woman on the phone who told me that there was no issue and that Mark would call me to tell me he looked over everything. He never called. I am really frustrated because I was ripped off and had to take the car to get significant work at different shops throughout Brooklyn because Mark overlooked so many glaring errors. Bottom line: whether you have a beater or a Benz, do not take your car here. Unless you want to burn your money.

I had a terrible experience here and would not recommend this shop to anyone. They advertise…read morethemselves as a "complete foreign & domestic repair shop," but when I asked about an engine replacement, the mechanic said they don't do that at this location. Fine--that's their choice. I already have a better shop and is replacing my engine they maybe thought I was broke or who knows but anyway way the real issue is that after leaving my car, several of my personal belongings disappeared. Guest what they did, they left my car in the street for a few days without any consent or like if my money isn't worth anything. I lost two toolboxes worth over $500, Ray-Ban sunglasses ($200), my EZ Pass, charging cables/adapters, perfume, clothes from my backpack, also a head unit that was in green box and more. On top of that, I paid their diagnostic fee (which I don't mind since that's part of their job), but when it comes to my missing belongings, I'm the one who takes the loss. It's been 3 days and I still haven't gotten a single answer or resolution from the shop. Items don't just vanish into thin air. The worst part is the complete lack of responsibility or concern from their side. The reviews may make this place look like a trustworthy shop and that's the reason I came here for, but my experience was the opposite. Be very careful leaving your car or belongings here, because once something goes missing, you're on your own.

Satisfied customer…read more Found through Geico Express service locator. Lovely staff at the shop...I did a quick walk-around inspection of the car with a staff member when I first dropped off the car on 12/19/22. A few days later, I had access (via Geico) to the shop's estimate and photos. The estimate was very fair...they used whatever they could reuse (i.e. undamaged headlight) as they are supposed to. The initial Geico estimate said "12" days and gave car pickup date of 12/31/22. I thought that date was a bit aggressive when I first saw it. I called them on about 12/29 and they said that they were still waiting for parts and they expect the last part to arrive on 1/3/23. I was also told that they think the car would be ready by the following Friday (1/13/23). I was called on 1/12/23 and was told that the car was ready for pickup. I picked it up the following day and was very pleased with the work done. Hard to tell any accident occured except for the newer appearing headlight and foglight on the repaired side. (The old reused parts were a bit cloudier) The paint job was good with minimal-no signs of work done. Overall I was very happy with the staff and work done. It was unfortunate that it took 2 weeks for the parts to get there for an "Express" shop...but I understand that is the nature of the business.
