Ralph came out to inspect my furnace situation and give me a quote on 11/18. I told him I already had a quote that was 1/3 of that price, and he told me I should definitely go the cheaper route if it was possible - told me there would be no charge, and left. Now, 30 days later, I received a text message and email from Master Air stating I owe them $99 for my service. I called the main line to confirm whether this is a legitimate charge or not, spoke with John - he said it was legitimate for their time. I asked, what for, since Ralph said there wasn't a charge & left - John stated, "I don't know a company would stay in business if we didn't charge for this" - I paid the $99 charge, but I think it's horrible business to wait until 30 days after someone comes out to send a bill. I would avoid this company as the owner is not a person of accountability. We paid $22,000 for a heat pump system which means there was a large margin for the owner. (I had two systems in California installed for $28K as an example, so much less even with the higher labor rates in CA. Master's margins are quite high, at least on heat pumps.) Within one year we had a draining issues that caused $2K worth of damage to our property. The issue was that the drain from the unit to the drain pipe was not coupled properly so the main drain overflowed. While it's not the responsibility of the HVAC installer to do this coupling, it would have been nice to have been informed that we needed to hire a plumber to fix this. We would of done that on a $22K system immediately. We informed the owner and he got defensive and, when we tried to stop him from being defensive (four horsemen and all that), he hung up the phone. Accountability and trust are critical to any business or relationship. My CA installer was so much better. Find a different company if you want an accountable business owner to work with. read more

Has to get an entirely new system installed and Master Air was fantastic! The owner Joey came out to at at the system, provide his thoughts, and answered all of my questions. Sent the estimate over within an hour or so of leaving and we were able to get the system installed 48 hours later. This Co. is the BEST. I called and they were right out. NOT as soon as they "Got A round Tuit". Joey gave me an HONEST evaluation. He said he needed to do some calling and he would get back with me. He called me right back and gave me a quote and we done business right over the phone. The installation crew was there when he said they would be & done a very nice & timely installation. Was scheduled for a heat & air checkup on a Thursday, the technician called and said he had to reschedule because there were to many customers without AC, which is totally understandable... except he never called back. I have called the company twice and was told that someone would return my call once they had "sorted this out". It has been two weeks and I never heard from them. read more

My builder installed AC builder grade junk and I had an evaporator coil failure after only 3 years. Kevin from Master Air came out the day after I called and explained all of my options to me. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of each option, including the option to do labor only with the warranty parts from the original units manufacturer. I opted to upgrade to American Standard and all the necessary work and materials needed to integrate it into our current system. Installation was early the next morning. Installers were very courteous, extremely careful and clean. For such a major project, the commotion and disruption was negligible. After installation Kevin returned to inspect the unit and answer all of my questions ( I had many). He explained everything and even drew diagrams for me. We went through the work done and I was amazed at the amount of work they did to troubleshoot and modify some other things during installation that fixed problems I had not even mentioned I had ! These were things I thought were just home design issues...but no, Master Air found a duct work problem and fixed it. I now have an upstairs that is a cool as my downstairs! They did not add anything onto the quoted price for this additional adjustment. My AC is better than ever and I am very happy with everyone at Master Air. They were all great to work with. I have used Master Air for maintenance since my husband and I purchased our house in Pearland. I have had to have them out now twice during the summer for my A/C going out and both times they are prompt and fix the problem with in a day or so, which is a must in the heat of summer. This last time unfortunately my A/C needed to be replaced, the installers were out the next morning and we were cool by that afternoon. I trust Master Air with my A/C needs! read more

In the 8 yrs since we have lived in this new house, I knew the upstairs unit was not right, and Kevin found the problem. We have had three other companies who could not provide the details he could. When my ac stopped working in the summer time, these guys came to the rescue. Within 2 hours they were at my house and had resolved the issue, a blown capacitor. Way over charged, had to make an extra trip even though I sent them the specs for what they needed. Don't use them!

Gave us an astronomical quote and when we balked at it, suggested it might be a warrantee item. When it turned out it was, quote to fix it was still over $500 more than another company. Makes me think Kevin knew it was warranteed, and was planning on pocketing the money himself. My advice: Go anywhere else but Master Air. read more

i have spent tens of thousands of dollare with Master Air and still get treated like an idiot. they do not have service much less good service. their 24 hour emergency is answered at 900am next day. i would recommend anyone but this company. i have learned my lesson read more
