Let me preface this with-- I have never been good at chemistry. (It is safe to say, I will never excel at chemistry.) To recap. The saga that has been my hot tub threw us down a rabbit hole of 1. flat work being done, 2. electrical being installed-- and then 3. an insane amount of chemicals being bought. There's pH increaser... and of course pH decreaser. We have bromine tablets and shock. There's testing trips. And a buttload more I don't even know... Originally, I was like-- eh, let's pop on Amazon and get some stuff. Well that quickly resulted in so many questions. We soon realized we required someone to help tell us exactly what we needed to do and how to do it. Alas, Blue Lagoon Pool & Spa. Located conveniently on the Coralville Strip. We went in and said we have this hot tub. They said... you need this. Away we went. Then a few days later we tested it and the levels weren't ideal-- we called. They said you need to do this. We did that... another few days later we test again. UGH. So we bring in a sample to Blue Lagoon Pool & Spa. We get a print out of what is up-- and a step by step plan on how to rectify it. Additional chemicals are bought. Boom. It is a work in progress. But having a local brick and mortar and ACTUAL PEOPLE to come to when we have no flipping idea what is going on with our hot tub is invaluable! The staff is knowledgable and friendly. There is a dog in the store, often, named Clover. Chemicals seem appropriately priced (though-- again, owning a hot tub requires a lot of them. It can get a bit pricey.) My only qualm is their hours are a bit hit or miss, especially on weekends. Just be sure to call ahead! Come give Clover some belly rubs and get your hot tub pristine wit the experts at Blue Lagoon Pool & Spa.

Very passionate about environment which is incredible. Our hot tub is made in USA. Our furniture is made of recycled plastic too. They are not sales aggressive but detailed and infformative about all their products and stand behind them. For example: we noticed a new feature that just became available on the model of our hot tub. It is called micro silk. Basically it was an additional $1k+ add on that they didn't try to sell us. We asked them. They have us as much information as they knew about it and welcomed us to try a private soak with the micro silk. At our private soak to test the hot tub and micro silk feature. Renee provided more information about the micro silk that she and her family personally reseached. So believe me when I write that they are not pushy sales people. Their integrity and products sell themselves. They got to know us upon every stop inside the store for complimentary water sample testing. Patio Pools and pleasures offers this to their customers. There is no gimmick or stipulations on this service when you purchase a spa. You can stop in as much as you would like and get your water read. It makes our lives easier. In addition to being personable they are solution oriented. Meaning that they are upfront and direct about the conditions of your pool or spa water and solve- with accuracy- any problems big or small.

The owner answered and offered to pick it up 2 days later when I was available. He was very professional when he arrived. I helped him load it up and he was off, took about 15 minutes. I asked for an update about 7 days later. It took a couple days for a response, but I got it. He had to order parts. About 10 days later he sent me a pic of the repairs. A couple days after that, a pic of it running without leaks. A couple days later he delivered my hot tub. About 3 weeks total. The price was right in the middle of his high and low estimate, which I felt was very reasonable. He asked for a few hundred down payment before pick up, which was a bit unnerving, but he had to drive almost an hour to my house so I can understand he's not working for free. The remainder was paid on delivery. The work looked really good and I've been using my tub with no problems.
