My neighbor informed me that they observed the Massey lawn service employee place a Massey sign in my yard. He then looked around and proceeded to go back into his truck without servicing my lawn. Needless to say Massey denied that they employee dishonest people. I fired them. read more

I truly do not have time to write an entire long review, so I will hit the basics: With Massey you have to "hold their hand" with their service. I have many different shrubs and zoysia grass. I always have weeds that don't die, I have to tell them my yard has bugs, I ask for my roses to get sprayed and they never do it. They claim to treat all my shrubs but my ring camera says otherwise. They have high turnover and I always have to call with concerns. Honestly, you should just be able to sign up and they should know what to do without you telling them. I canceled my contract and they said a manager would call me. No one called but they sure sent the bill. read more

Our pest control person Ricky Larson goes above and beyond!!! We have a spunky large dog and Ricky always complies with our request to call us 25 minutes prior to coming to accommodate us to secure our dog. Plus listens to your concerns and addresses them. I highly recommend you to request him with Massey who we have been with for over twenty years as customers and never had issues with them at all. But definitely within those years Ricky Larson has impressed us the most. read more

Useless. We just moved in a house and called them since they have been dealing with the house previously. Communication between desk and techs seems to be inexistant since nobody showed up for 2 appointments. Then whatever they use or do is useless, we have an ant issue (total of 3 different types) and even after the "waiting period" for the product to be efficient, we still had the same issue!! they came back 2 more times, which is a total of 3 times in 5 weeks, and 6 weeks later we still have the same ants issue and paid about $200... I actually had to call Massey to find out when we would have our first application, the technician answers the phone & tells me "Oh your Technician is on vacation!" multiple times over the few years I've had massey they have called to tell me they were coming out to do a service and they never did. They've always charged me and I have to call the office to ask them if they came out. Last week I received a call that they would be out over a week ago and when I called yesterday to verify if they had come out or not even though I knew they did not they told me that they had no record of me even being scheduled despite me talking to the individual who was supposed to come out on the phone. 2 years ago I ended my termite policy and they called me to schedule it and when I did not return their call they build me for it and still never came out. The new manager (probably the 5th or 6th in 3 years) emailed and showed up to hand me all of the reports from when they came out as a rebuttal to me claiming they charged me and would not show up unless I followed through. This was a poor attempt to divert from actually providing signed contract agreements. The leadership at corporate hide their contact info and do not return phone calls or emails when you find it, they are cowardice. I am not going to continue to give money to a company that not only can't keep their word or show up when they are told but even still bills people for something they did not receive. read more

My wife signed us for inhouse pest control a couple years ago and they have been ok. I wanted a yard service ti take care of weeds and lawn peats since we were getting a dog in the near future. Massey sent out this guy, Tony, some sort of manager. He gave us a smug look and told me we had to burn off the whole back yard to get rid of weeds. I was not ready to do that but he said they did not do yard pest control separately. I held off but a few months later, I agreed. They sent out another person, Cailyn, I think and we signed an annual plan. They were spotty on service but dis come out about every 3 months. The last time, someone showed and stuck a sign in the yard that it was done. That was right around Thanksgiving. My wife and I drove up to the store and was back in less than 20 minutes, the sign was there. Since the gates have locks on them and two Beware of Dog signs, we knew the backyard was not done. I made several calls to Massey and only service was lip service. Each time I told them that the yard was not completed, they just made promised to come out next day or two. Some promises from the Tony character and the last from a Mike, on Dec 29th that there would be someone out NEXT day around noon. No one showed up or called. I called back Mike since his number was on my recent calls at 4PM, no answer, left a message. Mike called back in a few minutes and played dumb, did not have access to his computer and to call the office. Which would have been 5th time in a month. I asked him of he remembered an irate customer from day before and he said no, short of cussing him out, I kept it a friendly call. I still owe them for the last inside service but I am not paying it, they took my money at the beginning off the contract but refuse to fulfill their end of the bargain. Massey was the first lawn care company I called after moving in my new home since all the other homes yard with Massey signs looked awesome. I was excited to get started. Called to have an inspector assess my yard and give a quote. The inspector called 30 min AFTER the scheduled apt time to say he was late but was on his way and would arrive in 30 min (total wait time 1hr). Inspector was very knowledgeable due to the classes Massey provides, but turned into a used car salesman when giving the quote. Massey charges inflated prices for every bit of service whereas a local company would just give you their best price for everything up front. Massey salesman are trained to wow you with their knowledge and upsell on mostly useless extras and other things that a local company would include by default. Anyway, I let the salesman finish, then said I'd call back. When I called back with competitive pricing, the salesman said he'd send an email with adjusted pricing and give a call. None of that happened, so I just went with the competitor. I would have liked to have used Massey and experience a nice green lawn, but not for their inflated prices and not risk being disrespected as a customer. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had with any company. Not only did they service my lawn for an entire year and fail to make it look any better than when they started, they also stained my driveway and sidewalk with fertilizer and failed to ever do anything to fix it, despite at least 10 different promises over the course of the year directly from the manager that they would be out "this week" to fix it. When they also failed to come out and provide basic lawn service within 2 months of when they promised, I finally got the message that they are completely unreliable and cancelled my service. If you want a reliable lawn care service that cares about their customers, you should stay far away from Massey. read more

I have finally had it with Massey. Beware of Massey. They come in strong then once you have them for a while they start their bad service practice. They do not hold themselves responsible for how your lawn looks. They are supposed to keep your lawn bug insect and weed free. They don't. I have had sod web worms and chinch bugs while having them under contract. They blame the customer for it. It's never their fault. They will only replace the damaged lawn if they have an irrigation contract with you. And even then they will still blame you and not do it. They can't keep technicians. It's a revolving door of young kids that run through your yard just to say they were there. The general manager lady can not be wrong. She does not believe in the customer being right at all. You try to tell her about your dissatisfaction and she says your yelling at her. Being Stern and forceful because your not satisfied is not yelling. The bottom line is you should not have chinch bugs in your lawn when you pay good money to keep them out. Her answer is it's something your doing wrong. Your not watering right or your cutting your grass too low or it's coming from your nieghbors yard. She is a hard headed argumentative never wrong woman that just lost my business to another company. All you had to do was make it right and I may have given you another chance like I have done so many times in the past when you gave me crappy service. I called Blacks and talked to them. They agreed there should never be a chinch bug problem in your lawn. They have picked up many customers from Massey over and over for the same issues I have mentioned. In the past I have been able to discuss issues with management at Massey and work things out. But this new manager lady is very difficult and non customer friendly. She has lost my pest and lawn service because she says it's my fault I have chinch bugs and not Massey's. Beware of Massey. read more

If I could, I would also give them 0 stars. We used Massey services for 6 years. They were good for the first 2 and then our technician moved away. The service was so horrific that the Orlando regional manager gave us free service until our yard and shrubs were back to healthy. After a year, we began paying again. We had a revolving door of service techs and managers. Each one saying that they were new and could not speak to what had happened in the past. Every one of them assured me that they would personally take care of us. Plants are covered with bugs,grass has dead spots and I just got the same old song and dance.
