We couldn't put the fence back up until we removed the tree. I went to my Yelp app and found JEFF, owner of OCEANSIDE TREE SERVICE. He's a hard worker and also fair, professional, reliable, and honest. Importantly, he's a very good communicator. He gets back to you and utilizes text for staying in touch and updates. The removal was done very well, and haul away and clean up was perfect. I'd call him again if necessary, and I highly recommend Jeff for tree removal.

They were great during the entire process. Promptly returned calls and courteous on the phone. We had a large live oak that was overrun with mistletoe. They took extra time on the phone with me to explain the invasiveness of the plant, what it can do to the tree, and explain options of trying to clean out the mistletoe or instead, remove the tree entirely. They have a Certified Arborist on staff, so it was reassuring they weren't just guessing. We opted to remove the tree entirely. When the showed up, they had all proper equipment, to include a bucket lift and a motorized log hauler, and a 4 person team. They carefully coordinated cutting the branches that were hanging over both my roof and my neighbors. Zero issues. They also hauled away all the debris and ensured the yard was clean. There is a reason this company has the best reviews in the area. If you need tree service, this is your company.

Very disappointed with this company from start to finish. The initial stump grinding job was done…read morepoorly and had to be redone. When they came back to regrind it, I paid an additional $250 for them to grind another stump and apply kill spray to a smaller stump since they already had the equipment on site. They ground the additional stump but never applied the kill spray and left without saying anything. I had to follow up myself to ask whether it was even done. I was first told they would come back in a few days, then later they personally told me they would return on the follow week. They never showed up or said anything. On top of that, the owner was unprofessional to deal with throughout the process, which only added to the frustration. When I asked for proper photos of the stump grinding, the owner became hostile and unprofessional, called me cursing, and repeatedly demanded immediate payment, claiming he would "bounce payroll" if I didn't pay right away. Instead of providing proof of completed work, I was sent a photo of a stump grinder and later a blurry photo taken from far away showing a pile of mulch, not the actual stump gone. Between the poor quality of the original work, missed commitments, and unprofessional communication, this was a frustrating experience. I would not recommend them based on reliability and follow-through.
