I have had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. Since June, I noticed small patches of yellowing grass in my front yard. I assumed the technicians would notice and address the issue, but they never did. By July, large areas of grass had completely died. During their routine visits, the technicians never contacted us, and we never had the chance to speak with them. When we finally caught them one day, they just rushed through the job--spraying randomly without addressing the dead patches. Only after we pointed out the problem did they check and claim it was an insect issue, then sprayed some chemicals. By that time, most of my front yard was already dead. They promised that if the lawn didn't recover by the end of August, they would replace the grass. Since then, we have called countless times. Each time, we were told a service manager would call us back the next day. That never happened. Either no one called at all, or after many follow-ups, someone would call days later with a completely different excuse--"just observe," "waiting for evaluation," or "someone will come." I've been hearing the same promises since July, and now it's the end of September, and no replacement has ever happened. Meanwhile, my backyard is overrun with weeds. I checked my security camera footage and saw the technician walk a single straight line across the yard, spraying only once. The entire "treatment" lasted less than three minutes. Now I fully understand why my lawn looks terrible. Three weeks ago, they promised to replace my lawn within two weeks. It has now been over three weeks, and no one has shown up or contacted us. We called again this Monday and were told a service manager would call us back. Today is Wednesday, and--just like always--no one has called. This company is unprofessional, unresponsive, and does not stand behind their promises. Do not expect them to resolve your issues or return your calls. I would never recommend them. read more

WORST SERVICE ORGANIZATION EVER -- they really don't deserve ANY stars. This company gives very poor and unsuccessful service - the worst I've ever come upon. they did not take care of the issue, they did not come and service as promised - always late and waited until we called again to complain. Both their pest service and lawn service are very very VERY poor., I would recommend using ANY other company. Don't give your money to them, it is a waste. The little plastic traps you buy at the store took care of they problem better that they.. By the way....they never check on satisfaction, and will only come back in the house if you call and complain.....AGAIN! We only called twice.... apparently we were supposed to call more times. They are threatening to turn us over to collection if we don't pay another 90.00 because they sprayed outside 1 time on 2/1 -- guess what -- we have a ring doorbell camera... they did not come out on 2/1 or any time up to today - 2/19.. By the way.... Maria is a particular joy.....NOT. She actually told me if I was nice to her, she might write off the balance, but she didn't like my attitude. My wife and I have had Massey as our lawn and pest service company for more than a year and a half. In that time our lawn has gotten worse and worse. The only time true work is done is when we complain for weeks, often times with a reply but no action. They rarely follow through when they say something needs to be fixed and even when they do it's done as cheaply as possible. After 6 months of needing some grass installed around a tree they said they'd plug it. It looks horrible. While that might fill in over the next several years, an ex Massey manager told me plugging every 12 inches does not truly work and certainly doesn't work in the timely manner. They need to fix the issues instead of writing "uncontrollable weeds" in their report. The lawn looked amazing when we moved in. It's watered constantly. Isn't that your job to to avoid and/or eliminate "uncontrollable weeds"? read more

Decided to give Massey a chance after telling me they'd have my yard in "great shape" in no time. Months later - and a lot of money - yard is even worse. No communication. I'm actually doubting they even performed the services. Had new sod put in. "We'll do a new sod weed treatment". Month later, sod is full of weeds. Bug and insect treatment? My yard has three generations of grubs and mole crickets. Total waste of money. Beware. Why take the risk when there are so many other companies out there? Again, total waste of money. After being with this company for over a year, my lawn had large areas that died and other areas that were inundated with weeds. The monthly reports from the service individuals noted no issues, and I had to contact the company to request assistance. Although Sammy replaced the large areas of lawn that the company killed, the monthly charges accumulated on my account. Every step of the situation has been a battle, very time consuming on my part. 10/6/2018 If I could give zero stars I would. This company is a joke. Had the service for about a year and they killed my newly planted grass because they were not proactive enough to figure out my grass had a fungus. Called multiple times to complain to no avail. Now I am receiving a bill for $55 that I would be more than happy to pay if they reimburse me for the grass they killed. I called the general manager Sammie on 9/11/18 and 9/24/18 and was told he would write off the balance. Yet I got another invoice today in the mail for $55. Massey services is probably one of the most unethical companies out there, at least the group that works in Florida. I signed up for their lawn care and pest services on a recommendation from my landscaper. Big mistake. Within a month of signing up of their services I had both a white fly and black circular fungus infestation on all my shrubs. Massey came out twice to do "landscape maintenance" while this was happening, yet they never mentioned the infestation and what they would do to fix it. I waited to see and watched what they did. I have Nest cameras pointed directly at my lawn and yard, and the technician did absolutely nothing, he came by, walked around sprayed some stuff on the grass and didn't even look at the shrubs. A week later, I called them and mentioned the infestation and they had no idea what I was talking about. What kind of landscape maintenance is that? after a month and half of being infested, literally, shrubs turning black and dying and they didn't notice?! Their maintenance package that I signed up for included a shrub replacement in case my shrubs died and they didn't even offer to do that! yet they charge $98 per month for this service! Even after I mentioned the infestation, they sent someone out to "spray the shrubs with fungicide and pesticide" yet when I looked on the cameras, once again the tech just came out and walked around looking at the shrubs and did nothing else, twice! when I confronted the manager about it on the phone he said the tech sprayed, but I told him I have video evidence that he didn't and he kept insisting the tech did. I really don't appreciate their technician leaving me a nasty note telling me how and when I need to feed my cats. He is claiming I will always have trouble with ants if I don't feed my cats the way he is suggesting. First of all, I've fed my cats this way for 15 years and never once had a problem with ants. Also, he has no idea what the situation is with my senior cat and how I need to feed him. I don't appreciate the rudeness. Just do your job and treat my place properly. read more

I would recommend a driver's safety course for employees. Someone in a Massey pick up truck almost sideswiped my vehicle at Little Rd. And Rt. 54 then proceeded to cut someone else off in a turning lane at the light. I'm sure your business wouldn't want to incur the extra insurance costs of careless drivers. read more

I hired Massey to take care of my grass. I had new St Augustine grass installed approximately 9 months prior to Massey Services. Massey assured me they would proactively manage my treatments. I begged for them to put down weed prevention treatments in the spring. They did not, I also requested insect treatment which they claimed they put down. I had an attack of sod web worms that were eating my grass up. Bottom line, I was not happy. I called the office and spoke with the manager he assured me he would get things fixed. He did not. The spray tech who was supposed to spray my yard spot sprayed and left in 4 minutes. I called and spoke to the manager again. I asked him to meet me at my house. He did and agreed that they should have been able to control the weeds, red spot on my grass and sedge grasses that were choking out my good grass. Once again I was promised he would make it right. The same spray tech came out, supposedly treated the yard, nothing not one wilted weed, no results. I called the manager left 2 messages, he never called back. I cancelled service. Massey is a great advertising company that's it. They are ineffective and do not do what they promise. My grass is a disaster thanks to Massey.. read more

Great commercials gives you hope of good service. They killed numerous shrubs in our landscaping with the first service. Still waiting months later for them to replace the shrubs. But they are timely sending the bill out numerous times that I said would never be paid since all they did was kill my plants. Oh probably 10 calls later this is still not resolved. A year ago we moved into our rental in Largo Florida. We noticed thousands of bugs around our front door, garage and back sliding door. We called Massey and they quickly signed us up for a yearly contract promising to get rid of the bugs. Lo and behold, the bugs showed up again this year. I called and they said someone would come out. No show. Called again, no show. Then finally a guy called saying they were jacaranda bugs and they are seasonal and there's no treatment for them.
