Kevin is EXCEPTIONAL. From his professional yet friendly demeanor to his attentiveness in applying the right type of massage with appropriate intensity, he gave me precisely what I needed. I received unhurried, thoughtful, thorough, therapeutic touch that effectively addressed a number of chronic musculoskeletal issues I'd been struggling with (and, candidly, the quality of the massage could've easily commanded a higher price). Making the appointment was quick and easy, and there were more than enough options to suit my busy schedule. When I arrived, Kevin asked several questions to pinpoint my needs, which he incorporated into the massage session, and he also readily adjusted during the massage as he worked on the various parts and they "talked back" to him. During the massage, we chatted when I felt like talking, and if I needed quiet, we were quiet, and it was not at all awkward. (Sometimes, what we need with a massage, in addition to the physical healing touch, is a friendly person to connect with. ) A special note: As a woman, particularly one of tiny frame, there are 2 things I am most concerned about with a male massage therapist; 1) propriety; 2) the therapist being afraid to really dig in. (I have knots so big and bad that they have their own zip codes!) With Kevin, I felt completely safe, and he wasn't afraid to apply real force to get those gnarly knots worked out. I absolutely LOVED my massage experience here!!! I came on a Groupon, which many know usually means you're going to get lesser service.... NOT SO HERE! First was the intake, which was even more professional than some chiropractic clinics I've been to (and left). Plus a short consultation regarding my specific aches/pains and style/pressure of massage... mine being issues from a pinched nerve and needing to start soft and work to deep/sports level pressure. Then left to disrobe to my level of comfort, and hop on to the warmed table. 90 minutes... not less.... of pure perfection ensued after that. My areas of concern were skillfully melted into muscle butter LOL ... and the rest of me didn't get neglected, either! From the scalp to my toes, I was a blissfully massaged limp noodle by the end! My therapist, Kevin, was absolutely amazing. I elected for the deep-tissue with minor stretching, and throughout my 60-min session, he would check-in to make sure the pressure was dialed in just right. My back was a knotted mess (I carry stress behind my shoulder blades), and he was able to hone in on the problem areas and work them out with zero-to-negligible pain. What a wonderful massage! Ok so even with the pandemic my back just aches and I was fortunate that Kevin is taking appointments. I had the longest session available and I am telling you I feel like a brand new person the next day. He is obviously very much in his magic in this profession. This place just opened in the Seminary Apartments near me. Massage Therapist, Kevin Gardner, is very friendly, professional and very enthusiastic about the work he does. The place is very clean, tidy and comfortable and even has free parking during business hours. The introductory rate special was a great deal at 10% off and Mr. Gardner even offers your choice of a Sugar Foot Scrub or Aromatherapy with the massage session. Prices are reasonable (especially for this area) and you can choose from 30 minutes to 2 hours. This was my first time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area looking to relax!
