When I dialed the number to inquire about prices, the person on the other end insisted I had to book an appointment for a price quote. Very strange. The knots in my neck encouraged me to even stop by in person. While in person I did get a price quote, but I was told I couldn't make an appointment in person and I had to call. Huh? There was no wait to be serviced (I now know why). I was taken to a room with a pretty lame excuse for a massage table, and a horrible static noise. The massage itself was probably 20 minutes long and the other 40 consisted of my masseuse leaving the room or leaving a hot towel on my back. When she did actually use her hands I could not express what I needed as there was a heavy language barrier between us. When it was over she charged me for the massage and became very frustrated when I did not leave a tip.( I instinctively always leave a 15%, but welcome to America, where consumers can tip when they feel it is appropriate) She would not give me my card or customer copy back, and she went to get someone else, an older lady. After expressing multiple times that I want to leave the older lady put a pen in my hand and insisted that I leave a tip to get my card. I then leave a $1 tip because there's no way I'd give them any more after being extorted, I just want to leave this very uncomfortable situation. She then says I need to leave $5 and I respond with maybe next time this is all I can do for now. Then I straight up get yelled at by the older lady, "You have money! Give!" and "You only one! I even think my therapist deserved what she wanted me to give but it was the approach ! I even asked her name so I can come back and request her because every therapist is very different and I would want to come for the same therapist and would go out of my way to fit her schedule but "they don't give out names, you get who you get." I only came here because I had a gift card and came from Hercules. I would only come back if I could get the same therapist and not have to deal with that lady in front. They all deserve the price they want but just set it at that price don't coerce a customer to "tipping" your minimum "recommendation." Set your prices with what you want minimally because the quality and service matches and just get rid of tipping altogether so a customer does not feel coerced and unsatisfied leaving.
