When I dialed the number to inquire about prices, the person on the other end insisted I had to book an appointment for a price quote. Very strange. Totally not worth the inconvenience. I'll take my coins elsewhere.

I noticed after my massage my knees were hurting without movement which was worrisome. However, within 2 days my knees had no pain and I am able to squat with ease! The complimentary soap was a very nice touch too.

The massages are good for the price However I wonder "who…read morethey think their clients are ??" And would not give me anything back The second time I went in and asked for change (got 45 minutes instead of 60) she told me "Clients give $20 for one hour" I'm thinking , they give you a 50% tip for less then s full job. Can anyone tell me what is the "tipping expectation" is out here -- - ?

My wife and I have been going to this place for more than six years now and for the most part we've…read morebeen satisfied. This shop is clean, quiet and comfortable. For me being comfortable while getting a massage means not being cold. They don't turn on their a/c here and that's great for me. I can't stand a/c especially when I'm naked. The most common complaints you see in places like this are noisy and/or rude workers. You don't get that here. Masseuses that are not working stay in the break room where you can't hear them talk. Even if you get one who is not well versed with the English language they can still be polite and courteous. I guess the owner stresses that to her employees. On cold days most places turn on the central heating which usually is not enough (for me anyway). This place has a space heater in every room and the mattresses are heated. How cool (or warm) is that! Get eight 1 hr massages and you get one free; other places want you to get ten before you get one free. Most places don't even offer any freebies. Here they don't hassle you for more tip like some shops; they are happy with what you give them; no place is perfect and the only minor negative about this shop: when everybody is busy they have to lock the front door so when the door bell rings someone has to leave the room to attend to it. But that doesn't happen a lot. When you're so relaxed and half asleep you won't notice it anyway. And most masseuse will make up the time lost.

Ricky is amazing! I'll explain how this happened. I train consistently with the 'bells' (kbs,…read morebarbell and dumbbells). One day, I was putting my weights away and I tweaked something in my shoulder blade. I had a nagging pain for about 2 weeks. I was at critical mass - had to do something. This past Friday, I contacted Ricky (solely based upon yelp reviews) in the morning to see if I could schedule a same day appointment. I was able to text him (which was great) because skillful massage therapists are always busy working. So, it can be challenging to get an answer immediately. I understand this dilemma well. Thankfully, Ricky had something at 630pm. I scheduled a 30 mins half table session. Let me tell you, in less than 2 minutes, he found the spot that was aggravated - I immediately asked for an hour. He obliged as he didn't have an appointment right after me. Thank goodness!!! He did a deep tissue massage and my muscles were sore thereafter. However, it was definitely what I needed - skilled and focused attention. I will definitely return over and over again! Again, I train hard and work full-time. So, being able to have someone work on my issues is fantastic!

It's funny when our parents get older and their special days come along-say Mothers Day or…read morebirthdays, Christmas maybe and one of the hardest things to do is to figure out what to give your parent for these special days. Over the years I've gone the entire gamut with her gifts-jackets-shoes-sweaters-electronics-religious statues-jewelry but then one year I discovered Golden Island Massage in Vallejo. What I discovered there was a $49.99 Gift Certificate that they sell there that gives a person a 30 minute body massage followed by a 30 minute foot massage. So a few years back I picked up three of these bad boys and gave them to my mother for Mother's Day. To say she was thrilled to the moon and back is an understatement-so when her birthday rolled around in December,I picked up three more gift certificates from Golden Island Massage. She loved her birthday gift just as much. So now every year on Mother's Day and her birthday in December I pick her up three gift certificates and the six total pretty much cover her massage needs for the entire year. It's perfect and the stress of gift giving someone who has everything has forever been solved. As far as the purchasing process, it's pretty simple. I generally just drive to their spot-they have ample parking as they are in a very busy shopping center anchored by Target and many other businesses. Once inside, the helpful employees fill out old-school gift certificates and I throw them in a card and give them to my mother-easy peasy!! So if you're ever in the Vallejo area and looking for a gift idea for those hard-to-shop-for friends or relatives-consider a Gift Certificate from Golden Island Massage. It's the kind of gift people really enjoy.

I opted to give the tip at the end. 2) upon entering my room, the sheets were damp so I felt a bit cold. If anything the sheets to lay in and drape over you should've been dry. Freshly warmed sheets and a heated table are even better. 3) the lady sneezed a few times in the room and even though my eyes were closed I don't think she sanitized her hands. Thankfully at this point, the drape was on me so she didn't touch my skin after sneezing. 4) although I walked out relaxed and the massage therapist got some knots out, about an hour later, my upper back felt a new kind of pain and feels out of adjustment. She adjusted me towards the end and I didn't expect that. I don't think they're supposed to do that. She was nice and the hot stones were great but the few details such as damp sheets, sneezing without disinfecting your hands.
