My back's been killing me you know I've lost a lot of weight and I've got myself in shape, but you know what you still have aches and pains. I looked around and I wanted to have a legitimate massage and I found this angel spa, which is near me and I thought I would give it a try. I met the masseuse Jenny and she's very very nice. What I liked about her is that she was talkative. She asked me what was wrong and where and she addressed those issues. She worked on my back and she used the right amount of pressure and I was very happy It's clean it's orderly. There's very easy parking and I will go back again. I was happy to have a real massage from a very nice person and it's very reasonably priced. I'm older and she was very respectful because I do have some mobility issues and she gave me some suggestions and I'll do the stretching and I will do the positive thoughts and the meditation that she suggested. About the most average massage I've ever gotten. Ok to make you relax a bit but definitely didn't feel light as a feather afterwards. Requested medium firmness and that's what I got but it varies with every masseuse so I probably should've requested very firm. There's a boxing gym next door and you can hear them quite loudly so not ideal. I got the 60 minute full body massage for $60. The masseuse worked my back, calves and thighs with a few minutes each on my feet. Did not work shoulders and arms at all. It was meh. I still tipped the masseuse $20 bucks because I know that's all they keep for themselves and felt bad giving her less. I've also heard about masseuses/owners haggling over tips at other places and didn't care to entertain any of that. I may return, but prefer to find a better spot. read more

I highly recommend this place. I was advised to seek out Jen. Jen is amazing!! Seriously!! After this first massage wth her I booked another. :) I booked my massage yesterday. They called and asked if I can come in 30 later then what I originally scheduled. I agreed. I told Jen where the discomfort and pain is. She had follow up questions. Which is great and rare. She worked those muscles out and some. She could feel where my muscles were aching. That was amazing. Not many massage therapist can do that. The place is clean. The prices are so great. Please y'all. Remember to tip these hard workers. This kind of work is exhausting and risky. They probably have to live off their tips. So please bring cash tip. My husband and I came for a massage. We were put in separate rooms. There is a boxing gym right next door playing music really loud making it hard to focus. Then the two massage therapists each put on their own music and there were three different kinds of music going at the same time; it was so noisy. Customers were coming in the front door throughout the massage and they would leave the room to tend to them. My husband did not enjoy his massage at all, he actually wanted it to be over. My massage was actually decent but all the other factors made it wack. Then at the end they were trying to hustle us for more tip. Would not recommend. read more

I had a massage by Jen. She is very nice and friendly not to mention STRONG! She was able to find and work out a lot of tight muscles that have been really bothering me. I was very sore the next day but it was well worth it. My only complaint would be that she left the room several times to assist people walking in and she took a couple of phones calls while doing my massage. So on to the good stuff. I went with the bestie for massages. We go often. I like the light massages that feel good but don't really accomplish much. I said nothing to her and she said your back tight, oh your legs hurt, nerves too. Huh? Who knew? Apparently she did. Then she asked if she could use Chinese herbs on me. I gave her the thumbs up. She worked me. She did stuff. I may have grunted, then again I also may have snored too . When she was done I sat up and I felt high. I was all dopey and slow. I was told that is because of the toxins she released from my body. Then I moved my neck and the CHRONIC side to side pain was gone. EVERYTHING felt looser and better! Holy crap I have found my miracle worker, Hallelujah! (gotta love spell check right?) I booked regular appointments after that. Told myself I would go to her for rest of my life. Here comes the two star rating and WARNING. I went for my third appointment and lady who spoke NO ENGLISH pointed to sign to see which massage I wanted. I kept trying to say I had appointment and where was my massage goddess, ok the other lady. Did me no good, she speaks NO ENGLISH. I reluctantly go to room, disrobe and she starts to rub me. Not even gonna say it was a massage. It was horrible. There was no "how do you like the pressure?" Or "any trouble areas today?" Nope, nada, because she spoke NO ENGLISH. The massage was soo lame and soo bad that I just sat up, held up my hand (you know the universal sign for talk to the hand) and got dressed. She called other lady on phone and handed it to me. I forgot to get the name of the therapist who worked on me. I came by at 4:20 and they made me an appointment for 5:00. I had a coffee at Benicia coffee and came back at 5:00. I only asked for a 30 minute massage because I don't typically like massage but I have ongoing pain in my back on the right and right arm. I explained this and the therapist worked about 75% where I said and also massaged my left side. I'm glad she did as that side was tight too, just not noticeable because my right side is so wound up. I have been in major pain all week from hunching over a computer. Neck and shoulders are whacked. I often will go to another massage place on first street but I find them hit or miss, and I seldom feel good and worked over. So today I tried Ling's/Angel's. I called for an appointment and was welcomed immediately. Cool! I headed on over and was greeted by a very nice lady. She asked how long of a massage and I of course asked for 90 minutes. I also was contemplating a 120 min massage but figured I wanted to be able to walk out unassisted. Place is clean and small, but comfortable. I was lead to the private room and instructed to remove all clothes and lay face down on the table. Was asked if I had any recent surgery and how firm do I like my massage. I believe that no pain, no gain, so responded deep and hard please. Massage lady came in and asked the same thing. She started out with gentle strokes through the sheet and soon climbed up on the table and walked on my back! I was in heaven! The rest of massage was also wonderful and I just melted with this strong and deep massage. Later she disappeared for a minute and came back with hot stones. Someone pinch me! That was so good. Okay so i set up apt for me and 2 of my other friends to get messge. I wanted to try out angle spa because of some of the good yelps and how owner responded back to her bad yelp. So after we got their and they said our apt. had been cancelled. They manager to get all of us in. After i went in for my 90min message the lady that was helping me stood on top of me message me with her feet, holding on the bars on top... the lady gave me such bad message that i had neck pain and back pain and i told her to stop after 25 min and i walked out. She then told me ohh too hard i was yes and am hurting very n bad. After i came outside she asked how am paying for it.. i was give me a min and hurting i will pay. Then owner came and said oh she is very good but she didnt know that you wanted it hard. I told her she never asked me she what kind of message i wanted and just started to stand up on my back started to message. After this owner apologize to me and said she will give me free message. After being in pain i told am sorry but am scared to get message from her place no matter how much experience she has i was just not comfortable with it. The worse part is when i asked how much do i owe for all of our message she included mine, which was bad sign for me. I called today to book appointments for my two sons. After several back and forth text messages, I decided not to book, and that I would NEVER return to this Spa again. The price had increased, no big deal, but when I told the person my son would be using a debit card, the price increased again!? I told them never mind, I was not going to make the reservation and the texts messages I started getting were aggressive and rude! Spas can charge whatever they feel appropriate for their services, but to switch your price because of form of payment, in my opinion is unprofessional. I went to Angels today based on positive yelp reviews. Although the ladies were very nice, I will not be back for another massage. I went in with a pinched nerve in my neck and a sore shoulder - symptoms I described to the manager. The woman who gave me my massage was unable to follow my direction due to the language barrier. I told her multiple times the pressure was too hard and she finally told me "no pain no gain". That is a phrase I have certainly not heard from a massage therapist - and I have seen many! I asked her if she knew about my neck and shoulder pain by pointing to my neck and she nodded her head and said yes. Her "strokes" were so fast it was like she was trying to squeeze the hour massage into 30 minutes. It was very uncomfortable and I I even tried to ask her to slow down, but she didn't understand me. They have a $5 discount for first time customers so hour massages are $45 and totally worth it! Place looks clean and neat and the bathroom was clean...a total sign of sanitary upkeep at these types of places. The only thing is that there is a boxing gym bumping hip hop next door and walls don't reach the ceiling in the rooms, so you could hear exactly what's going on in the adjacent room if there's talking. I explained that I take care of my mom 24-7 and have a lot of knots. Not only did she understand, she went above and beyond and treated me so well. I had an amazing experience in this spa today. They were very friendly, got me right in, and I could not believe how inexpensive it is for All that you get. I did the 60 minute foot reflexology which included a whole body Thai style massage! They soaked my feet in hot water, used hot towels and dry towels, nice smelling lotion and a gentle but firm touch (when she asked if I like deep tissue I told her I'm a wimp)... Angel's Spa was a convenient choice for me for a quick massage due to its close proximity to my home. Though customer service was great and the person massaging me was very nice, unfortunately the atmosphere and the massage itself will probably deter me from coming back more frequently. I decided to get the one hour reflexology massage as it stated a great price of $35 with a $5 discount for first time yelpers online. The lady in the front immediately ask for my card upon arriving (not an issue for me), but after my massage was done..she had already charged my card the full price. For $5, it would've been too much of a hassle to cancel and recharge $30, so totally made the call not to haggle over that. That being said, I do wish they had a better policy of paying after the massage (better for tipping & discount purposes) The massage itself was good, but their front door was open and the area they used for reflexology faced the front door which would've been fine...but the door was open and the hot air was coming in (started sweating pretty bad) as I was trying to relax. First of all, there is ZERO relaxation going on in this place. The boxing gym is next door with music blaring a heavy beat. There are boxers punching heavy bags every 1/2 second. Someone is drilling and hammering very close by. The freeway sound covers their Native American flute music. A car alarm went off for 3 minutes while being ignored in the parking lot out front. As a bonus, a police officer drove slowly by with the siren on. During my foot massage a man entered the front door. My masseuse said, "you want massage?" He replied, "no, I would like a gift certificate please." She said, "gift." That's it. She then continued my foot massage while ignoring the man at the front counter. I am supposed to relax while wondering WHEN she is going to stop massaging me to go help him? While wondering WHEN he might finally say something while he was being ignored. Honestly, this went on for FIFTEEN whole minutes! When I went back to a private room for my back massage she left the room several times leaving the door open and leaving my bare butt exposed to the world! I left my undies on because I had no intention of having my booty rubbed. She pulled them down and tucked the sheet into them. That's fine if we have privacy, but I was not provided that privacy. Then when it came time to pay I provided my coupon from Yelp (see attached photo). She looked confused. I asked if I could use the coupon on their brochure instead. It was also for $5 off. I was told that I was already receiving $5 off for paying cash instead of using a card and I could not use a coupon also. I asked for the 120 minute for massage/back massage combo -$55. When I paid I was told that I was given the 30 minute foot massage- $25 and the 60 minute back massage- $45. That's the cash price. The card price adds $5 to each. So I was told my total was $70. And I can't use my coupon. Bull sh... Loney!! Never again! Oh, the actual massage was great, by the way. But everything else negated the experience. read more

I have been a customer for several years and never been disappointed. I injured my shoulder and my doctor suspected tendonitis. It was difficult to rest my dominant arm and I try to avoid medications so I went to Angel for a massage. I feel MUCH better and wish I had seen Angel in the beginning.
