My wife found this place on Yelp, so I went to check it out & oh boy I'm glad I did. I came in with major neck strain, I couldn't move my neck left at all! Jane was the lady that I booked 90 minute massage with. She recommended I did hot stone to relax and loose the muscle so she started with that. As the massage went on, the muscles got loose and she was very good in pointing out all the pain I had in all the areas, not just my neck. She stretched and did all the crazy things to my body that I didn't know my body could do, it felt amazing. The pressure was perfect. After all set and done I felt great. The pain was still there, but I was able to move my neck. Next day I woke up very sore as she said I would be, I took Hot and cold shower and went to work. Half way through he day (and I work behind a computer all day) my pain in my neck and soreness from all the pressure was gone. I felt 100 times better. Thank you Jane for making me feel alive again. Wow. Never had a Thai Massage but it was an amazing! I had Amy and my boyfriend s has Annie'- both were suburb! She knew exactly how to position her feet and hands/elbows. It was definitely deep and hurt but a good hurt!!! You can always ask for lighter pressure though because she was very communicative. Felt great after and was similar to a PT session. Hurts so good! Their massages are not a relaxing Swedish style where you may fall asleep. They are a deep tissue, mixed with stretching and almost a chiro adjustment. Come here to work out all of the knots. I used to frequent the original in Linda Vista many years ago and was so happy they had one in Poway when I moved out here. My boyfriend bought us a groupon for (3) 1-hour massages. All were great but last night we upgraded our last voucher to a 90 minute. SO WORTH IT. I had Amy (sp?) for the first time and she was absolutely amazing. Before we began, she asked about which areas needed work which was nice as it was the first time i had been asked there. I explained that i had a hard workout the night before so i was very sore, but still wanted medium pressure. She checked throughout the entire massage and made sure i wasn't in pain. There was one time that I had to ask her to go softer but she adjusted right away. She found a huge knot in my back and worked with my breaths when getting deep... let me tell you, that is a seasoned massage therapist to know to do that! Very much appreciated! We both agreed it was the best massage of our lives! I've had a masseuse walk on me before & loved it, but neither of us have had a true Thai massage. Holy smokes! Simply a hidden gem. Did a little research on where to get a great massage and decided, oh what the heck, let's give this on a try. Strolled in and was lucky enough to be there when it wasn't busy at all. I waited no more than 2 minutes before being greeted by Na, a masseuse whose been giving massages for more than 10 years! She squeezed me in her schedule for an amazing hour and half massage. To be honest, it was the best massage I've ever gotten. You always take a chance when visiting a massage place you've never been to. After reading all the reviews, I decided to try Massage Thai Way in Poway for the first time. I was treated to one of if not THE best massage I've ever had. First, online communication when booking was very prompt and clear. Management was able to accommodate my schedule with no problems. When I arrived the location, I was pleasantly greeted. The establishment was very clean and smelled good. It also had a welcoming energy, like they were glad to have me there. I had a huge day following so I elected a 2 hour massage. Jub was incredible. Before we began, she asked if I had any problem areas (first sign of a true professional). Throughout the session, she checked in with me to ensure the the pressure was right, which it was. I'm a bigger guy but Jub had the technique and strength to exert some pressure and get a full stretch, which was EXACTLY what I needed. She has a very conscious touch that I find rare in most masseuses. I truly believe she cared about what she was doing as evident by her extraordinary service. To start off ive been to the linda vista location many times and have enjoyed every experience. I am also a former massage therapist of over 8 years so i know what a good massage is and when a therapist knows what they are doing. At this new location in poway it is very obvious that their therapists are among many thay hire therapists that bought their license from a chinese school in la and practice with very little to no training. The therapist i had claimed to be licensed but ive had massages from all ranges and this is the first time ive ever walked out of a 2 hour massage after one hour in. When she was walking on my back it was passable, but as soon as she tried to use her hands and elbows you could tell she was just rubbing the oil around. He is extremely skilled as he studied Thai massage with the best of the best. He understands the body and knows precisely where to work to give the most relief. Much to my surprise, when I went to book I noticed that a shop had opened in my neighborhood. They have unique stretching techniques that leave your muscles feeling oh so relieved. Annie, at the Poway location, did an excellent job; I particularly liked the legwork and stretches. Fair pricing, clean and the gal who provided the massage asking me if I had any specific concerns and she focused on those areas which was really nice.
