Massages have been good....but like all good things...sometimes they end. We always get the 90 min. This time we arrived and there were no staff. I helped myself to the restroom and could hear them all in the back chatting away...so I shut the door kind of loud to alert them we were there. Nothing. Finally the manager and the two therapist came out. Massage was good, always have been good, not epic but gets the job done. I got dressed and was waiting for my husband and saw the clock. We were just at the 80 min mark. And I'm dressed in the waiting area. Hmmmm. So I asked the manager..."I thought I booked 90 min, did I book 80?" She didn't even look up, "Nope you booked 90. We give you a 10 minute buffer to get dressed and undressed." WHAT? Come on. I said, "That's new." Yomee (sp?) then explained to me that this is standard massage protocol everywhere. Knock it off. Ha! So I explained it wasn't and she said "Well it is in the places I manage." My husband came out at the 85 minute mark and rolled his eyes, like really. It's off season and you have regulars willing to come in and now you are shorting the service, while having just raised the prices. Horrible business model. So if you want to get and 80min massage but pay for a 90 min one then this is your place! read more

STAY AWAY! Sadly I need to add a new review to the same business that's quite the opposite of my initial review of this place. I am banned! Yes I am officially banned from this establishment! Why? Because I dared to complain about my massage! I made an appointment for a 60 min deep tissue massage. What I received was lotion applied to my body. First off the masseuse didn't really speak English unbeknownst to me. I should have known when the little I said to her went unanswered. I have no issue telling my masseuse it's too much or too little pressure. I communicated repeatedly, at least 5 times, that I'd prefer firmer pressure. It was all but ignored except for an occasional elbow jammed into me. I laid on the table hoping things would change but it was clear she was not qualified to perform a deep tissue massage. This was the first massage at this establishment and the first massage EVER where I had to say something. I don't know his name but the owner, Mary's husband, was the person I spoke with. Rather than listening to a customer who has patronized the Estero location from its very beginning, he proceeded to treat me like a piece of garbage. He actually confronted me along with the masseuse to tell this poor girl I thought she was "not good". I was trying to keep my complaint discreet since he had other customers waiting but he didn't care. His reaction was a mere oh, "I will make a note of it for next time so you won't have the same masseuse." I explained it wasn't fair to be charged $80 plus tax plus tip for lotion applied for 50 mins. (My husband paid before me and had no idea of the so called massage I received.) Mary's husband then told me he would refund my money but I am "never to come back"! I wanted a reasonable solution, he apparently thinks he doesn't need the business of me or my husband (who also gets massages there). I was shocked a small business owner would react like this. He's nothing more than a bully who tries to intimidate. So my husband said we should leave as there are plenty of massage places out there. I agreed with my husband and we left with me telling Mary's husband I will be sure to let others know how he conducts business. Basically he treated me as if I had planned all along to plot a free massage. In spite of being a customer when Mary first established Massage Point Estero. It was so early in her opening they charged $65 for an hour massage. Sometimes expansion leads to quality control issues. I was so angry and chose to leave without a refund. Apparently he needs the money more than I do. Do yourself a favor and give your hard earned money to someone else's small business!! read more

I am a first time customer and was booked with Lili this week. This was one of the worst massages I've had. Over half the time she concentrated on my back and neck, which was excessive. That didn't leave much time for the rest of the body. I had told her in advance that my legs, hips were tight and she did little to nothing there. She was repeatedly excessive in every area - focusing way too long in repetitive motions that I actually laughed several times and asked her to move along. Seems she was not only very bored, but didn't really know what she was doing and made it up as she went along. When I left, the owner asked how it was, I said "terrible". He said "oh, cash or card?" He obviously didn't care as long as I paid. Definitely reconsider - this place is shabby, you can hear what's going on in other rooms with the thin walls/doors (sounded like a guy was having a pretty good time a few doors down), and not very welcoming. I love coming here. The receptionist is always kind while making the appointments. My massages are always amazing! Perfect pressure and very experienced massage therapists. They even put something down to prop your neck up nicely when you flip over. The prices are also great! They use hot stones which feel great (although I really hope they clean them well lol.) I truly am upset that my experience at massage point was so bad that I feel the need to warn others. I read so many good reviews that I was very excited to try this place for my anniversary and Mother's Day weekend. I will start by saying that the therapist seems very skilled at what she does, though she could have been more in tune with my reactions because at times she got a little rough. That was not my issue. The issue was that at a certain point she seemed to rush my massage and didn't show all parts the same attention presumably because she was running short on time. Now, my massage was booked for 1.5 hours and I actually received maybe 1 hour and 10 minutes because mine and my husbands appointments were the last of the day. When Asked the receptionist how much time she had me booked for she confirmed 1.5 hours and I showed her the time on my phone and she said oh "I'm sorry They know they're not supposed to do that" . I continued to pay them said" you know I'm not happy with the shortage of time because I rarely treat myself to 1.5 hours and was really looking forward to it". She said I'm sorry and offered no solution. I paid and I left. The next day I realized I lost my glasses and when we checked with them Monday to see if they had them they did. My husband said he could pay postage to have them shipped to me because I don't live in the area and was told the owner would call him back the next day. The receptionist called me instead and said they can't ship them because the owner said he doesn't want to go ship anything. I said even if I send the box they won't ship it? She said "ooohhh I dont know, I could ask but he doesn't really want to." I said don't worry about it. I had to ask a friend who works, not lives in the area to take her lunch and go pick them up for me. I'm disappointed in the lack of accountability for the shortage of service, first, then They didn't even feel like letting me pay to send my glasses back in the mail would help make up for it and I'm sure they get a mailman at the place daily. There is nothing like good service and this place has no idea, what makes it worse is that they are in the business of trying to help people relax. The experience there was the total opposite. We've had several massage therapists and they are all great but we both agree that Ali works for us both because of our health problems. She's very strong and always listens to our concerns. This place is incredible because Mary is THE best massage therapist I have ever experienced... and it *is* an experience. As a holistic nutritionist-- the benefits of massage are paramount for leading an overall healthy lifestyle but I've had many a terrible, or "neutral" massage. Mary is the owner and she intuitively, knows what your body needs. I was delighted to meet "Jess" too, who has been trained by Mary and she is also incredible. I am VERY picky about what I expect in a massage. If you book with Mary or Jess, you will walk out of there feeling like you just came from the clouds. I have been going to see Mary now for well over a year... It is no fancy, experience but it is clean and EXACTLY how I want to treat myself. I even sent my dad! Mary is magical. First time visiting massage point. The staff was very friendly when I called to schedule the day before and when I entered the location. The therapist listened to my request during the massage. This was one of the best massages I've gotten in my over 10 years of needing them. Great if you need a specific muscle group worked on or deep tissue ( which I do). I just got back from my 1 hour massage with Jesse. OMGosh I was in pain from an old back injury flair-up when I arrived. This place was recommended by my hair stylist, and it had great Yelp reviews. Plus, it's across the street from my complex so a no brainer. No frills (otherwise would have given 5 stars) I arrived 10 minutes early, was greeted pleasantly, filled out the short form and off I went. I explained where it hurt and why it hurt. She got right down to it and it was the absolute best. No chatter, which is exactly what I like, and simple enjoyed. She was very intuitive, and hit all the right spots. I feel that every massage is going to be geared to my needs that day. There's even a 30-minute stress relief, which I may try. All I can say is that, being from Las Vegas, NV, I've had a lot of Spa Massages. THIS was much better and much less expensive. No more pain! I will definitely be back.
