Disclaimer: this was my first massage experience ever, so I have nothing to compare it to. My boyfriend and I each got a groupon for a one hour massage here, which was a great deal. I called them on a Friday afternoon and was able to book for the next Saturday evening. Their site lists them as closed at 7pm on Saturday, but our appointments were for 7:30pm. I thought to myself, "Wow, they're staying late just for us. How accomodating." Then I learned they work out of a professional office building suite and the air conditioning for the whole building shuts off for the weekend. The hours on Saturdays have been extended over the summer to 8pm because with the heat, it is impossible to be open at all by Sundays. This fact made me a bit wary, but I was still open minded about going. The office is a little strange since it is a very cramped suite within the professional building that you have to dial in to enter, but after entering, I was still open minded. Our msssueses did not have any particular uniform, but were quite muscular and almost intimidating to look at until with full friendlyness, they started to help us get settled and offered cold beverages while we filled out our paperwork. Next, we got into the private massage room, which was quite clean, pleasant, and included soothing music. The air conditioning was not a problem at all, as the room was a comfortable temperature, and they had plenty of fans that could be set up if you were too warm. The massages, themselves, were incredible. We both had full body with hot towels, and what an experinece it was. My masseuse was incredibly talented at finiding and working through any knots or tension I had, and my boyfriend had the same experience with his. He also was very good at helping guide me through the process of the massage, from getting myself ready to when I should turn over etc. Summary: started out excited about a groupon, became nervous about location and reviews, ended up completely satisfied by my experience with a body extremely happy when I woke up the day after the massage, and I would reccommend massages here to anyone! read more

I received 3 free massages through Groupon as a gift from my fiance. I was scheduled to have my first massage, which I was forced to cancel due to Hurricane Harvey. When I tried to reschedule, I was told that they would no longer honor the Groupon, even though they said that they would before. The service was good through November, but apparently they stopped honoring gift certificates all of the sudden from Groupon. I have not written a review before, but this business has made me so incredibly angry with their inability to maintain an honest business. I do not recommend this business and I am frustrated with the management I received from their employee named Ed. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Went to Ed after finding a Groupon. Making an appointment was very easy and he was available on Sundays which was best for my schedule. He was very good with a deep tissue massage- skilled at finishing and working out knots and afterwards I felt wonderful. I continued to go to him for multiple sessions over the next few months, but as time went on he started pushing boundaries on where he was massaging. I reset expectations and he corrected immediately. Sadly after another session, he did it again- this time to the point of making me uncomfortable enough that I will never return. I'm not someone who gets uncomfortable with nudity, but repeatedly moving the sheet to the point that genital area is exposed is simply unacceptable. Bottom line: if you are ok with leaving some clothing on during massage or want just your back- he is very skilled- go see him. Otherwise, steer clear.. read more

I purchased a Groupon for bosses day for a 90 minute massage. My supervisor has been trying to schedule a appointment and her appointments have either been rescheduled or cancelled. Today, she arrived for her 3:00 confirmed appointment and there was a closed sign on the door. I have personally received a massage from this establishment but the lack of professionalism and respect for others time has encouraged me to never return. I had a great massage with Taiya at MLS. I was running a little late, but she had the patience to wait for me and even stayed past the studio's closing time to finish my 90 minute massage. I've been to several different masseuses in the past, but Taiya had some new techniques (warm towels, yoga-ish stretches) that I really liked. I know MLS offers mobile services, but be aware that Taiya is the only woman at the studio and that the studio closes at 7pm on weekdays. I had a little trouble scheduling. If you're working to a reasonable hour and are trying to squeeze it in after, also be aware it's outside the Loop. Better to take a shorter massage or schedule something on the Saturday. They're not open Sunday. read more

Got a Groupon as a gift from my kids for my husband and myself. Tried to use it and had trouble getting through so left a message. No response. Tried texting and finally got a curt response about 8 or 9 hours later saying the times I was interested in were unavailable. I asked when there WAS an opening, finally got a response 2 days later saying he didn't know and would get back to me. That was over a month ago and the Groupon has expired. While the massage from Ed was good in terms of his pressure and it was a true hour I was uncomfortable during several instances (apparently I'm not the only one after reading other reviews). He tests the boundaries in terms of areas that should be left alone. I will not go into detail but I will NOT return. I gifted my boyfriend a Groupon here; $99 for three massages which would expire in November. He scheduled an appointment three weeks ago that was canceled due to hurricane Harvey. When he tried to reschedule today, they refused to honor the Groupon with no explanation and were incredibly rude about it. I don't see why it was okay to use the Groupon three weeks ago but not now? I have been getting monthly massages with Ed for about 4 years and its one of the best ones I have ever had and that includes massages in other parts of the world. I tried other places when i moved to the west side of town, but didn't like any of it as much as this one, so i returned. Ed can do some real deep tissue massage, which has been very helpful. I've been seeing Tiya for a few months now and she is phenomenal. I started going to her after I bought a groupon. I love her massage style. She's found some knots I didn't know I had, as well as tightness, and has been helping me work them out. I was in bad shape when I started seeing Tiya. This was my first time coming here. As a female, I was hesitant because of other reviewers saying Ed tested boundaries and made them feel uncomfortable. I went in nervous, not knowing what to expect, but I must say, I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews! Let me point out that before you go in, they give you an image of the front and back of the human body. You cross out the areas you don't want them to work on and circle the areas to focus on. So to those who said he got too close to the "lady parts," all you had to do was cross those parts out if you didn't want him massaging near them. It isn't unusual for people to get the butt, upper thigh area massaged, so if you don't mark it out, they might assume you want it to be worked on. The front crotch area is already crossed out, I also crossed out the butt area and circled the back because that is my problem area. Ed did a wonderful job! This was the best massage I've ever had! He was also very knowledgeable about the anatomy of the human body. He told me the source of my back pain was having weak muscles which also caused my bad posture. He recommended different exercises to help me strengthen my core and improve my posture. Not once did he make me feel uncomfortable. Highly recommend! Also, the waiting area is small and feels more like an office than a massage place, but don't let it fool you. This place is great! read more

Hands down one of the best massages I've gotten in Houston. I originally found this studio through Groupon and only had the intention of going there once with my coupon. But after being blown away by the first 60 minute massage, I became a monthly customer. Curtis consistently delivers a therapeutic massage that has helped me get rid of a ton of tension in my neck, shoulders, and back. My opinion of this place varies. My appointment was on a Sunday which online says they are closed but I went any way... I told people where I was going and for how long before I even left the house. I get to the building which is a regular professional building with cameras visibly hung outside and have to dial in to have the doors opened. I get to the Massage Les Studio suite only to find out that it is small and that there is only one person working, my masseuse. He was very kind and professional but first impression to an average sized female was "Really? Me and this big dude, alone in a semi vacant professional building. Fantastic." For a first impression to a new customer, this made me feel a little uncomfortable. Regardless, I continued to fill out the paperwork and was going to go through with the massage because I was in pain. He took the paperwork and as he did, he locked the door to the suite. I understand, it's a business and being the only employee there, he needed to secure the office while he worked on me. However, again, first impression to a now skeptical first time consumer, creepy. So the massage starts and it's great. I asked for deep tissue massage which I think he did a great job at, however, the following day I had bruises that looked like fingertips. I've had previous massages before and don't remember ever being bruised by them but I also didn't tell him to lighten the pressure because it was nice at the time. My focus area was my hips to which he did various stretching techniques to try to help the area. During the stretching, I feel like I wasn't covered enough. I would go to cover myself and he would push my leg another way which made my efforts useless. At times, I felt the massage was inappropriate. So all in all, I would say the massage was relaxing for the most part but I will not return due to the uneasy, vulnerable feeling I had. read more

This place is terrible. After having them reschedule my appointment at the last minute on two different occasions. I ended up getting the worst massage of my life. A baseball bat to my lower back might've been just as soothing. My 90 minute massage ended up being only an hour. You should go literally anywhere else. read more

Had a 90 minute massage with Ed for 45$. Was there 30 minutes early for my appointment but bc the previous person was late and another one after me my time got cut short by 10-15 minutes which was disappointing. I guess for the deal I couldn't really complain though. To be honest the massage felt semi-inappropriate at times, he got REALLY close to my lady parts several times which made me feel somewhat uncomfortable. I guess I should have crossed those parts out on the paper you fill out in the beginning but didn't really think it would be an issue at the time. So if you think you might be uncomfortable with that better cross it all out and tell him to focus on fixing your back. He did do a great job of getting the knots out of my back so definitely recommend if you have back issues. Also listens to your preferences and what your needs are. Very strong hands. Overall a good massage but not the best I've ever had. read more

My experience at Massage Les Studio was totally relaxing and therapeutic. The treatment room was super clean, neat, soothing to the senses and inviting. No clutter and very comfortable and plush changing/sitting area. My 90min deep tissue massage with Curtis was absolutely fantastic. If I lived in Houston, I would definitely become a frequent client.
