I've been going to this location for years. I've been fortunate enough to get some really good female therapist for deep tissue massage. Good location with good service and nice staff...Until you have an issue like running late or missing an appointment... They will charge you for it, regardless if it's on their part. Bottom line, don't miss your appointment or run late and expect them to reschedule your appointment for a later time. This was my first time ever getting a massage and trying this place out. When researching I thought the deal they had was reasonable so I tried it out. Had booked an appointment about 1 week prior and was called/text for reminders - which was great! When I arrived ~5-10 minutes earlier, I was greeted and was told that I'll be assisted right away - filled out paperwork. After paperwork was done, the masseuse came out and greeted and walked me to the room - asked/questioned of concerns and pressure. The massage overall was OK, thought it could've been better. I have a lot of knots/tension around my neck and shoulder area - which was my main area of concern & the area was worked on ... But i still felt that tension when leaving the massage. My main complaint is that i booked the session for the 1hr massage. My massaged was booked for 4PM, went to the room and was on the table and worked on ~4:10PM and the massage was completed ~4:55PM. I feel like my massage got cut off short which is unacceptable since i paid/booked it for a full hour. I will give this place a second try and hope to see/feel the difference. Maybe it was the masseuse i had? Who knows, but i will wait and try it again. Overall, the staffing was nice - the front desk girls were very knowledgeable and polite. Once again Massage Heights had an epic fail. I am only trying to get my masssages because of back pain. I went after they opened and my therapist refused to wear a mask even though I asked and was assured he would be. I didnt get my full massage because I refused to turn over. I received a email afterwards stating all employees would be wearing a mask from now on. Bullshit! I went out in 112 degree heat index once again for pain, my therapist wasn't wearing a mask and didn't eve have one in her possession. I complained up front, didn't get a massage and was told all employees have to wear masks and your not allowed to turn over for the face up part of the massage. Why do I have to be the one to tell your employee to wear a mask? She is clearly walking around without one. I would like to request ending my contract or being compensated in some way read more

I admit I was skeptical about going to a "discount" massage place. Boy was I wrong. This place was very professional. I scheduled an appointment over the phone and they called me the day before to remind me of my appointment, which was very nice. With busy schedules, it's nice to get a reminder phone call. I loved how after you checked in they take you to a relaxing room to wait for your therapist. There, it is a lightly dimmed room with big comfy chairs and a waterfall on the wall. Very nice. Not many discount massage places offer the additional waiting room. My therapist Joyce was wonderful! She went over what type of massage pressure and aromatherapy fragrance I wanted before the massage. She focused on my sore spots and all in all, really knew what she was doing. I have had massages at fancy spas (even in Vegas' Caesar Qua spa) and Joyce is definitely up to par. This place really found a wonderful knowledgable person. I cannot vouch for the other therapists as I have only had one massage, but from what I experienced, you cannot go wrong by asking for Joyce. After the massage I was given water. I understand the business model is to get people in the door with the $49 intro rate but I didn't expect that I would be pushed the membership by the receptionist after the massage. This place is very disreputable. We cancelled our membership in writing a week before the next draft. They said they couldn't stop the draft. We called to get our last massage and they were going to charge us. I reminded them we still had one each banked. They said we had had a month to use it and it was expired. I argued with them and talked to a manager that said basically too bad. I told them I would leave them a bad review and their response was "whatever". I called another location and they said the contract said 90 days after cancelling. I called corporate office, they called back after I left a couple of messages. They were going to talk to this location and get back with me. This was supposed to be taken care of. We have our contract and it clearly says 90 days. This cost right at $110. We still have never received the massage, a response from the location, or money back. read more

To avoid any confusion, he went in person and received cancellation paperwork. Then, we had money taken from our account the next month. I told her multiple times i wasn't booked for a couple and gave her my last name she insisted it was me and a massage therapist figured it out and corrected it. Then i went into the second waiting room and sat there for 45 min i was literally walking out when they called my name and honestly i should have just left. The masseuse was very nice but she knew i was annoyed and asked me about the mix up not understanding that i had been there an hour. I signed up for a deep tissue with hot stone and i told her i have back pain she said ok and we began the massage she told me she didn't feel many knots in my back and she thought we should focus alittle more on my legs so i can't fault her too much i should have asked more questions but who would have thought she would literally spend the entire hour massaging my feet and right leg she spent less than 2min on my right shoulder didn't touch my left and barely applied pressure I'm a massage novice so i didn't speak up but at the same time i feel cheated.... read more

I was treated so badly here I had to cancel my membership and still had two pre pays to use but every time I called to book an appointment they told me there were no therapist available when I needed. I got so upset and went up there to speak with someone only to be thrown out and refused service and no refund for pre pays they drafted from my account. I am a currently a member here. My first couple of experience here where very pleasant. The massages I get are great. But the girls that work in the front office are very rude and immature just not on one occasion but multiple times. I had my final straw with them today. I had an appointment at 1pm in which they called to tell me I was late cause they told me it was at 12. But when i spoke to the last girl last night who called to confirm it was at 1pm i told her i needed to cancel cause I was sick. She obviously did not cancel my appointment so I basically got charged $50 dollar and the girl on the phone could careless if I were sick or not. Poor customer service by one of the ladies at the front desk. Made an appointment online and had someone call to get my credit card information and ask if I could move my appt 30 mins earlier. I gave my info and said yes they could move up my appt. When I arrived for my appt, my name was not on the schedule (yet they had my credit card info on file) and the woman at the front desk was short with me for asking why I'm having to repeat all this info I filled out online in order to avoid this exact situation. They ultimately assigned someone random to me last minute who did not have any of the information I spent time answering online. The massage was subpar. Even though I told the massage therapist I only wanted to have my neck, back, head, and shoulders worked on, she worked on my arms (an area I did not request) for about 15 minutes. She also used some lavendar product that smelled more like cleaning product than a calming essential oil mix. I've been a member here since they first opened. There is a high turn around so I try to have 2 or 3 therapists that I love. Clara was my absolute favorite for 3 years and she recently quit, so I tried TK. She did a great job. I hope she stays long term. I really hate having to find a new therapist... I don't go for relaxation, I go because I have bad neck probably and am usually in a lot of pain and they always make me feel better. My biggest complaint is when my therapist calls me back 15-20 mins after my appointment time and quits massaging me 90 mins from my Appointment time and not the time he started. I went in for a couples massage 2 weeks ago. When booking I provided my CC and at the end of my appointment the receptionist charged my CC, Even though I told her I was paying cash. My credit card is Canadian therefore I was obviously charged the exchange rate. She explained they she was sorry but couldn't refund my card. The receptionist with the big green glasses was very dismissive about the situation. She gave me my 60$ back and told me to call the next day. I was told that the owner Jennifer would call me the next day. Instead I received a text to see if i wanted to be a VIP member. I wasnt impressed. So I called Jennifer and explained the situation. She said that her associates were able to refund me and she doesn't understand why they did not. Also that I should return to the store to give the 60$ and then be refunded. I also lost a blue and orange earring that was quite special to me and no one would return my call Even though they claimed to be giving the message to my masseuse. I am a member here and overall, I am a fan. Because they are a pretty popular chain it can be difficult to schedule with my favorite masseuse and that means if I need one on a short notice I may have to go with someone I've never had before. On the up side, they almost always can fit you in on short notice, though maybe not with your preferred masseuse. Another downside is that it seems they tend to hire lots of therapists straight out of massage school who are trying to build clientele or experience and that means you may end up with an "OK" massage, like some of the other reviewers on here have mentioned. My favorite (whose name I won't mention, it's hard enough to get in to see her as it is, lol) always gives great massages so what I try to do is schedule about 3 weeks out after each massage which usually gets me in to see her just fine. :) read more

I schedule an appointment for my husband and I as an early anniversary gift. We went on a Saturday and the following Tuesday he was having back surgery so I wanted to do something relaxing for him. Little did we know this massage would be non relaxing and more stressful. I had an male and my husband had an female older lady who did not relax him at all and she actually hit his head during the massage. When we left my husband said that was the worst massage ever and he felt more tensed then relaxed. I was so sore later that day and the next day. During my massage I asked the guy if he could lighten up twice and he continued as if he didn't hear me at all. Would not recommend. I'll stick to Josephines salon and day spa instead. read more

First thing is I love massage heights and was very happy with them and all the services. I became pregnant and signed a form to freeze my membership because as we all know you are not able to in the first trimester. I thought well okay i will go ahead and freeze and when i come back I will unfreeze and go ahead and continue my membership. Well the young girl gave me a form that was only for MONTH? MY mistake was i did not read the form correctly i just assumed that it would be for the 3 month. A month later I receive a payment drafted my act. which of course I was upset. I called the center was told that I was only on a month freeze, again 1 MONTH????? like how is someone pregnant for one month? The young lady she could not help me that she apologized for the inconvenience especially when under the reason that was stated was under medical and due to pregnancy. I contacted the cooperate and was advised that all massage heights are independently owned and there was nothing they could do and would contact the store about and still have not heard anything oh well i just know never again and next time i will pay better attention to small details. read more

Called two weeks before our appt. Requested that our appts. be moved up one week for our couples massage and have our son appt, at the same time as he was home from collage. We arrived for our appts to find out that Emily had moved my appt up one week but had not moved my husbands appt. So no couples massage with only half the group having appt. Young lady stated that so couldn't do any thing that they were booked up and too bad that she could make me appt for next week. I asked what the cancellation policy was. Told that just had to sign form. Then stated that I had to pay to cancel contract. Told her no that if you cant do job. When you wasted our 1 1/2 hrs of our time on the one day a month that my husband has off. When the manager called and said that she cancelled the charge to cancel membership. And that she would not refund the 1 1/2 that we both have on our account. Stay away from this company there customer service sucks. There employees are snotty and incompetent were there job is concerned. For a customer service company they don't care about the customer. I canceled my membership and was verbally told when my last draft would be, but not told my last credit had to be used within 30 days of the last draft. I tried to use my credit and cannot because it apparently "expired" which they NOW tell me about verbally and also told me it is written in the cancellation contract I signed (so read the fine print). I feel robbed of $70! The manager did not try to compromise and was very dry which is NOT how a business should treat a loyal customer (I canceled my membership but had every intention of scheduling massages with Perla as needed). They have guaranteed I will NEVER return as a customer and I will also tell all my friends to go with their competitor across the street MASSAGE ENVY. I'm disappointed that I asked 3 times (by phone, a fill-out form, and in massage room) for specific spots to be massaged. Instead I was given a full body massage and the areas with tension were hardly massaged, more like rubbed. Also the lavender scent always brief and ended up smelling like cleaner shortly after. I now have to get another massage and I'm spent $50 for something I could have done with a lacrosse ball and foam roller. read more

Used to be a regular customer with a contract, but then they started in with expiration dates, and I had to back out because my life was too chaotic to keep up. Then, I decided to try them again using the 3 massage deal...again, got side-swiped by the "3 month" expiration and I'm out $50 on my last massage. Manager didn't care that right after I bought those 3 massages that my mom died, my husband got cancer, and that I've had a host of other priorities and problems related to those life events that kept me from pampering myself. Yes, she graciously let me use the 2nd massage in the package despite the previous day's expiration, but a phone call some time in the last two months would have been nice to give me a heads up time was ticking. Despite amazing massages, I doubt I'll go back since I can't ever hold on to my relaxed self long enough to get out the door! read more

Shameful.The facial and massage were mediocre, but I really wasn't expecting anything spectacular from a place that has a guy with a sign on the street corner. So, with that said, I had the facial and then had a one hour massage. The facial was okay- kinda greasy for a man- but the massage could have been a lot better. I asked for a "firm" massage, but got something that my cat could have done. Oh well. I go to pay and the young woman tells me it's $75. Fine. She then starts explaining the membership. I tell her that I avoid recurring charges because I travel quite often. A woman next to her (I'm guessing a manager) starts to takes over the pitch and says that I can "freeze" my account whenever I go out of town. I tell her I'm gone about every two weeks and freezing off and on is silly for a monthly membership. She then looks over the cashier's shoulder and tells her she undercharged for the facial. The cashier apologizes and says it's $100- okayyyyyy. The pitch is back on of how much I can save by joining, that she has MANY customers that travel and freeze their accounts, blah, blah, blah. I give her a more stern "I'm not interested." AGAIN, she looks over the cashier's shoulder and says I wasn't charged correctly. It's now $110! Thats $35 more than it was before the bait and switch started. I'm not sure what it should have cost and that's my fault, but my advice to anyone that decides to go there (which I will never do again) is to tell them to wait until you pay to discuss membership, and then let them try their high pressure push. I have always had neck, shoulder, and upper back tension and Katrina (who specializes in that) was able to target those areas which great care and precision. I was mind blown. When you schedule a massage online, you need to call them to confirm. The email says they'll contact you but they won't. Also, the three times they called my wife to confirm, change, mess with the appointment after she called them to confirm, they'll still mess it up. Apparently they don't do hot stone massages on Sunday, but don't let you know until you check in and are in the waiting room. No thank you. Never again. read more
