I received a gift-card to this place so decided to check it out. Since it was my first time booking with them, I received an introductory rate for a massage and facial, so I scheduled both. After scheduling, they texted me the confirmation and a note saying my massage would be $12 additional for a "Tier 2 therapist". I agreed to the terms. Once I arrived, they had me fill out some information on an iPad and walked me back to the waiting area. My massage therapist greeted me and took me back. First of all, it was freezing in the rooms. I felt extremely uncomfortable. She turned on the heating pad on the bed for me but it was still very uncomfortable. I felt so tense because I was so cold. My therapist, Maribel, was not even that great. I'm not sure how they classify "tier 2" for someone at this place. After my massage, I walked over to my facial appointment with Sharon and she went over the steps with me. As we are going through the process she was asking me what I normally use and I felt like the whole time she was trying to sell me on their products. Dermalogica is the brand they use for their facials. She knew nothing outside of this brand. Being a facialist, she should know more about different products, skin types, and skincare. It didn't feel like I was being pampered but more like she was selling items to me. She didn't even know what a lip mask was. When my appointment was over, I went to checkout at the desk and the girl at the front didn't even know what she was doing. She kept trying to overcharge me for things. They asked me how it went and I told them it was freezing in the rooms and the entire time I did not feel relaxed. She then admitted they were having issues with their unit. First of all, I go to this location because my therapist is the absolute best. I see Ruslan, and he's a miracle worker on my sciatica and shoulders. He's truly gifted. Don't hesitate to book. Now, the downside. The front desk is a mess. I spent 20 minutes while waiting listening to a new staffer make 4 phone calls to complain to various people about someone who was supposed to be training her but had left her shift early the day before. Literally, I now know all of the inner-office drama about the person who left (who she loudly described as "lazy"), the other person who had to step in (which, she thinks Is "not fair"), the other new person who is also being trained, and the lead/supervisor (who she wanted to know she "wasn't trying to complain" to). GIRL, YOU ARE COMPLAINING loudly and unprofessionally for every guest to hear. The thing is, I don't care and I don't want to hear it. I'm there to relax. Just wait until the reception area is empty to make your phone calls. When I checked out, she was also a mess: she insisted my membership didn't apply (it did). Had the wrong profile up and listed off the wrong credit card numbers- which I was adamant weren't mine until she finally realized her error. I get it, she's new, but she was also insistent that she was right and I was wrong (as if I don't know my own credit card number that I'm literally holding) and had already irritated me with her lack of professionalism. Decided to treat my husband for a full body massage on our anniversary. Heard great things about this place via yelp reviews, however this whole experience fell short of my expectation, much less for my husbands first time. Everything started off well upon arrival. I was greeted upon arrival and check in was smooth. We were both taken to a waiting area and it was not long until we were introduced by our massage therapist, Sandy and Yowanda. They walked us into the couple's room and only Sandy went over my husband's medical information chart. I felt like she was the only one informing us (more like him) about the whole process. Yowanda was more quiet throughout the session. Sandy and Yowanda both asked us what scent did we wish for for the aromatherapy, then made sure we wanted the hot stone. They also recommended the foot scrub... which I was not super excited about. It was HIGHLY recommended and raved about, so we were like umm okay. Mind you, neither of them informed that it was an additional cost. I had a feeling it was, but it would have been nice to include that bit before suggesting and kinda pressuring clients to get it. Both therapist walked out while we got undressed. I got in the bed and it was chilly... I could have sworn I thought I saw the remote to the heating pad/blanket. Maybe she would turn it on later, no worries. Well she didn't. I was FREEZING my ass off in there, and whatever lotion or oil she used, it was not even warm. The only warmth I got throughout the damn massage session was the HOT STONE. My husband felt the same. I was not even wiped down with a moist towel after the session was over. I was oily as hell after I left, and grease stains all over my damn leather seats in the car. Aromatherapy? What aromatherapy? I got squat! Could have passed on the foot scrub. I could do that for FREE at home. Nothing worth raving about or to even pay extra for. My husband got more much more pampered than I did for sure. He told me he was wiped down with a warm moist towel after each focused body part. He also got a moist towel on his face packed with the eucalyptus essential oil that we BOTH requested. WHY IN THE WORLD DID I PAY FOR A COUPLES MASSAGE AND I DID NOT RECEIVE THE SAME TREATMENT AS MY HUSBAND? I get each massage is tailored to one's needs and request, however the amenities should be somewhat similar, especially if I paid for a couples massage package deal. As for pressure, I felt that the pressure could have been more. I felt like I was just rubbed down with oil. Concentrating on areas I requested like my neck and my shoulders, but felt like my back was neglected. My husband said Sandy briefly went over his back...she mainly did his butt... I'm like DAMN I DIDN'T EVEN GET THAT TREATMENT. Wouldn't really recommend this place... Sad to say but I felt like I let my husband down on his first time massage experience. I used a Groupon coupon for my massage with this company. I was told that I would need a card on file in order to make an appointment. After my appointment my card that the staff had on file had been continuously charged without my permission two separate transactions of $59.00 each month. A total of 12 transactions in the amount of $59.00 plus a charge of $140. When I called to discuss the issue, I was told that I would have to go through a cancellation form. I don't see how I could fill out a cancellation form if I never filled out a membership form. Plus I would receive the run around each time I would call and to discuss the bogus transactions. I would be told that the manager would give me a call back. After I reached out to my bank , I started to receive odd voicemails and text messages to my phone stating that I had 48 hours to come in and fill out my membership application. Those messages came during the month of August. Massage Heights has been charging my card since February of 2021. Also the staff here are very rude, argumentative, impolite, aggressive and extremely unprofessional. The lady who said that her name is Clover also yelled at me and said that she wasn't going to just give me a refund if I used their services even if I never signed a membership agreement that allowed them to charge my card. I tried again to explain to her that I never used "credits" I only visited once during the Groupon ordeal. Therefore I was incorrectly charged. Instead of listening to me she hung up the phone in my face. Message for Clover. While I appreciate your response I am dissatisfied with the overall tone of your message. Mainly due to what appears as misinformation on Massage Heights end. I never had a membership with Massage Heights. (Feel free to verify my statement through your records) F.Y.I. That may be why you aren't able to locate a cancellation form. Or the cancellation form was never sent. Also I do not appreciate you hanging up the phone in my face after telling me that you will not refund my account. For your mistake. Not only is that disrespectful but it also very unprofessional. Immediate acknowledgment upon entering. My chosen therapist Maribel is great for me. She is compassionate to my aches and pains. She makes sure I am comfortable and then gets in there and gets the knots out. Sometimes I am sore the next day but it is a good sore. I always request her as she goes the extra mile. read more

I have never been so dissatisfied with staff of an establishment. I highly suggest that management look into Kyle's position and reconsider his place at Massage Heights. This was also my first time ever here and for anyone who is reading this to heavily reconsider a membership and a booking here. I was gifted a massage by my fiancé who booked a massage for me at this location. Through the booking, he received a confirmation email with the listing price of the massage (for a Firm Massage) and he had input his card details for payment into the booking as well. I went in for my scheduled massage and was helped by James. I gave the name of who I was listed under and James proceeded to give me a tablet to fill waivers. HE DID NOT EVER go into detail about anything, not my massage, who I was to be helped by (therapist-wise), or even details regarding "Tiers of therapists," he just gave me the tablet after I had said I was there for a massage and had me fill out the waivers. This information will be important later. After filling out the waivers, he quickly moved me to the waiting area. There I was seen by Olinda. After my massage, I went to the front desk to assume I was to only pay for tip for the therapist. James charged me $97 for a massage that was suppose to be paid for already through the online booking which my fiancé had confirmed his card details and had received an email stating the price of the massage and the booking date. I spoke with my fiancé and the massage was to be paid for already before I had even step foot into the establishment. We had called to resolve the issue and was told by Kyle that it was an issue on their end for not sending out another confirmation email regarding "Tier Therapists" to choose from and they did not charge his card from the get-go. They up-charged my massage as well by not giving me any details regarding any "Tier Therapists" which I had specified earlier in this review and by not sending another confirmation email. I was then told by Kyle that I would be refunded the whole amount due to their mistake on their end and causing us to go this far to resolve the issue and that the membership I had signed up for afterwards would be cancelled. He also went as far as telling us that there were "new people still in training" confirming that it was indeed an issue on their end. I waited to see if I would be refunded but only saw I was refunded $12 to my account that was charged and I still didn't receive a confirmation email regarding my cancellation to my membership. So I called Massage Heights once again to resolve yet another issue. I had spoke with Kyle again regarding the refund and he denied everything we had spoken about prior regarding the transaction and me being refunded due to their mistake. He proceeded to talk over me and as I was trying to get clarification on my refund and the cancellation email which they never sent, he hung up on me! I proceeded to call NINE (9) TIMES back to back after Kyle had hung up on me and was hung up on each time. The pre-recorded message could not even finish before he repeatedly hung up on me. Here I have attached the screenshot of said times and the phone number connected to this establishment. I was finally able to reach somebody after my 9TH phone call, Ashley, who had stated that Kyle had to "leave to get some fresh air." I couldn't believe I had to waste my time to get through to someone after repeatedly being hung up on by Kyle. Ashley was able to send the cancellation email regarding the membership as I was speaking to her. I have yet to be refunded or be contacted by management. After all this, the refund should have just been properly handled and the cancellation email should have been sent right after that first phone call after the booking but it seems that management does not find that a priority or goes the extra mile to ensure that their employees are properly trained. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau to further resolved this dispute and hope that this establishment handles their employees. read more

Wow. Let me preface this review by stating that it is like all other Massage Heights locations. Clean, nice atmosphere, fair price. My experience started the day before - I had a deep tissue massage scheduled. I arrive for my appointment and they inform me they could not fulfill it. I said okay - and rescheduled for the following day. I returned for the second and final time. My massage therapist was honestly awful. Not in terms of service but in terms of professionalism and common decency. For starters she was late. For a dollar a minute, be punctual. I basically tell her that I am a bodybuilder for a living so I need someone who I can rely on to release tension and apply pressure on my back, calves, pecs, etc. all good there. She returns to the room after I get undressed and she says "Oh, you have acne?" - I was a little shocked by her statement, but I said "uhh, yes - I had bad acne as a teen, I have acne scarring. I don't have any acne currently." She says "oh okay.... let me get your aroma therapy" and leaves. She returns after about 5-10 minutes and asks if she can use GLOVES on me because of the "acne". I was honestly shocked. After a second I said "sure, if that's truly necessary, or I can leave". She says it's okay and then proceeds to not use gloves? I guess she realized my skin wasn't bad. She begins the massage after about 20 minutes of ridicule and unprofessionalism - and is actually doing a decent job. She gets to my legs and doesn't work on my right calf because of a bruise. I assured her it wasn't a bruise, it must just be the lighting - so she turns the lights for her own validation. "Oh it's not a bruise" she said.... kinda like my acne apparently. She continues the massage and ends with 5 minutes to spare. So glad I spent my money and time here (not.) A few pointers to this particular therapist and location: 1. You are dealing with a human body... if you aren't comfortable with touching a person, pick a different profession. 2. Human decency goes a long way. This was downright rude and inappropriate. 3. A reliable client won't be returning to this location again because of ONE employees actions. read more

I have been going to Massage Heights for over 10 years now. I was able to pause automatic deductions from my account for three months during Covid and also for three months when I had an injury. I made an appointment today where I arrived on time and sat in the relaxation room to wait. After 10 minutes, no one had come to get me so I went back out to confirm that my appointment was at the time I thought it was. I unfortunately had a terrible experience here. I just recently moved here and was getting regular massages every 3-4 weeks at my prior residence, so I'm not new to the massage world. I get pinched nerves or sore muscles periodically due to my job as a nurse, and monthly massages usually whip me right back into shape in one go. I thought this place would be nice from the reviews and was looking forward to my massage. The lobby and waiting area were beautiful and soothing and everything appeared very clean. Once I was called back to my room by my therapist (Regina), we went through my problem areas and she then asked me if I liked essential oils; I love lavender and thought it was a nice touch. However, halfway through my massage, my therapist appeared to have spent the least amount of time on my area of concern, which was my shoulder blade, and then she told me it was time to flip. I was still so sore from my shoulder not being worked out, it was actually difficult and very uncomfortable to lay on my back. She never even checked in once on how the pressure was the entire time I was on my stomach. I thought maybe it was just a difference in personality because I like to chat. It calms me. But she was completely silent. So I tried to give into benefit of the doubt to reschedule with a different therapist for next time since we didn't click. I felt okay at the end of my massage, but more worse for wear. I went to the front to check out and the front desk guy (Kyle) asked how my massage went. I was honest and told him "Not great. I still feel really sore and I used to get a sports massage at my last place, maybe I need that instead?" He asked if I would like to reschedule, to which I said yes. He immediately launched into his sales pitch of their "awesome" deal going on right now, and then asked if I wanted to join. I told him I would think about it and he countered with "Okay, but your next time will be $120, and if you sign up later, there will be a $40 membership free." I was totally jarred from the price gouging compared to the $65 price of today's massage cost, which was more reasonable in my opinion. But to be completely disappointed, and then hounded for more money to do it all again, felt like my concerns were neither heard nor valued. I left disappointed and defeated. To add insult to injury, the front desk person forgot to even check me out, so he chased me down halfway to my car to come back and pay. It was embarrassing. I went to Massage Heights in Vintage park yesterday and had the most Amazing experience of my life. When entering I was greeted by Ashley and Nicole, both had impeccable personalities. I was immediately called to the back and greeted by the Best Massage Therapist in Houston named Alex. She was so informative and personable. I've had plenty massages in Houston over a four year span and have never experienced the level of professionalism that I received yesterday. Went to speak to Ashley as soon as I find out of the fraud charges into my credit card and she slipped out on me pretending to be ill. Asked her minions there to lie for her and even called the "security" guy. All she does is respond by email and won't meet with us in the days we're available. This a rip off place, and clearly do not do anything they say they're going to do. Ashley claims my money has been refunded back into my card since Aug. and I just got of the phone with my credit card and they're not showing any credit/ refund from them. Clearly they're taking their sweet time.... If you're going to tip your masseuses do it cash, do not give them a card because they'll charge it with out authorization. Reggie is amazing! The four stars for Reggie! He is probably my only reason to come back after a creepy experienced had with a therapist that is no longer there. Reggie is knowledgeable, amazing with his technique, and listening to your needs to resolve my body aches and tensions. The front desk Face of your business however does have opportunities. Not sure about the heavy-set gentlemen's name but don't care for his condescending attitude. Excellent customer service is about resolution and talking to the customer, not talk at the customers. Had the worst experience here last night. Last week I had an emergency and got called back to work (I'm a nurse), and had to cancel my appointment last minute and paid the late fee. No one told me on that phone call that it would take away the intro rate when I did that UNTIL after the massage. Should have been disclosed before. $168 massage turned to a $300 massage and it definitely wasn't worth that. Bought Groupon for 60 min facial with 1 elevation. I bought a second elevation when I arrived which she said would be extra. I figured that I would get extra time for doing another add on but it still applies to your 60 min I soon found out. I figured I would be getting the "works" since I'm paying for a 60 min facial including elevation plus I'm paying another 30.00 for an additional elevation/ microdermabrasion. Their facials are not what you pay for. I left underwhelmed. They do a lot of up selling, slap some cream on your face and charge an arm and a leg. My esthetician was nice but the company themselves are misleading with their upsells. I expected cucumbers, long facial massages, steam machine etc for all what I paid for. I basically only got the up charges/ add one but don't think on top of that you will be getting some bomb facial. Nope. read more
