Cozy subtle aromatic sitting area with soothing water fountain to please the senses while you wait. Fell asleep in my chair during my glycolic acid therapy by Marilynn and woke up to a whole new me. My daughters esthetician, Pepper, tailored the deep pore cleanse based on skin type which is greatly appreciated! Great service and product. Only suggestion I have to the owner is to provide robes as per of the relaxing / waiting process and that the interior decor could uses some TLC. I was graciously gifted a gift card for my Birthday but the facial I received has turned into a terrible customer experience and worse, resulted in a serious skin infection that required medical attention, antibiotics, etc. I reached out to the spa multiple times (even stopped by in-person to see the owner and show her the damage to my face), ask her what was used in the facial, and when I finally got ahold of her on the phone she was SO RUDE! She began yelling and belittling me and telling me that something was wrong with my face (well, not BEFORE I went here!) and she did not care AT ALL about what happened, my experience, or try to make things right. I wouldn't recommend this place. My massage was wonderful (I think his name is Carlos) but my pedicure paint job had to be redone. I had a GC for a "Holiday Spa Package" - $175, which I found out AFTER my appointment included lunch, facial, massage and a nail service. All I got after being there for 4 hours was a 90 minute (wonderful) massage, and a chopped up pedicure. Then to top it off, the girl working the front desk when I checked out was a snob. I am so happy I found this place! Amazing staff and services. I come on a monthly basis and get a 90 min massage, facial, and nails! Every esthetician and massage therapist that I've been with has been very good. They also have nice packages for services that you can purchase as gifts that even include a spa lunch. They have a nice waiting room area with snacks and you can ask for wine/champagne, all of which is complimentary! You can tell that the staff is very genuinely there to make sure that their clients walk out happy. Also they have an awesome Tuesday special called tranquil Tuesday's, definitely ask about that if you plan on going on a Tuesday! Can't wait for next month! This recent time I saw Naz for hair services and she was awesome!!!! I'm very picky with my hair and want it to not get damaged. My mother & I visited the spa for a girls afternoon. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or if she didn't speak English very well but the woman at the front desk wasn't rude but wasn't super friendly either. She guided us to the changing rooms and then vaguely instructed us on where to go. It was more like we wandered around looking for the room where we were to wait for our services. And wait we did. Both of our masseuses were very nice & the quality of the massages were ok. After the massages, we waited for 20 minutes before our facials. When I went to check on the hold up, I found both of our estheticians chatting it up in the hallway. When I inquired, I was told they book 15 minutes in between services. I know that is the norm but if that was the case our facials should have started at 3:15, not 3:30. That being said, the facials were amazing! Both girls were very friendly & I liked that I didn't feel like I was being pushed to buy their line of products. Great place, fair price. I frequent spas pretty regularly, so I give this place 4 stars for the ambiance, product quality, cleanliness & technician knowledge. Very much enjoyed my massage, reflexology, and pedicure. Very relaxing, friendly, and professional staff. Clean and comfortable surroundings. Next time I will go for 1 and a half hour massage. Maribelle is a great massage therapist. Perfect pressure technique. She really worked out some of my tension. Debbie worked on my pedicure. She really does a great job. Very precise. The only way to create this review was to select a star, otherwise I would have given Derma a ZERO star. We gave Derma Technique 3 tries on 3 different occasions to get it right......spent $700 with each visit and finally realized we were never going to get our money's worth. As a birthday present for my husband and daughter I treated them to a lunch/facial/2 hr. massage and pedicure. Didn't realized their expectations hadn't been met (they didn't want to hurt my feelings) so I treated them again the next B/D. The third time back I join my husband for a day at the spa. What a waste of time and money......the only positive I can say was he thought his facial was ok. The staff is nice but their work is substandard. I gave the owner a chance to "do the right thing." Regina banned me from the spa. I'm a very busy women and understand the basics of good business..... I called and made an appointment for a manual lymphatic drainage massage for my daughter who had upper and lower jaw joint replacement surgery 4 weeks ago. When I made the appt., I asked Brooke (the receptionist who made the appt.) if the massage therapists there were certified in MLD. She placed me on hold and consulted with Paula, a massage therapist. Paula stated that all of the massage therapists there were certified in MLD. Brooke conveyed this info to me and made an appt. for my daughter with Candace. When I took her to the appt. I paid $125.00 for the massage and left a $24.00 tip. It was a one and a half hour appt. so I returned to pick up my daughter. I asked how the massage went and she said they did a swedish not a MLD because Candace said she was not certified. My daughter has difficulty talking due to a splint in her mouth as well as still having some swelling from the surgery (hence why she was having this type of massage to help reduce swelling and her surgeon said it would be okay to have). Also, it was a bday gift. The massage therapist should have gone to the receptionist and told her the customer was expecting an MLD massage and that she was not certified to do them. They could have called me and asked what I would like them to do, reschedule or cancel since I booked the appt. and my daughter is struggling to speak right now. The therapist came out and spoke to me and confirmed the exchange between herself and my daughter regarding the massage. She and I both spoke to Crystal (receptionist on duty) who confirmed my interaction with Brooke when making the appt. and the interaction and response of Paula. I asked to have the manager call me when she got in this afternoon. The manager/owner had still not called me by 4:45 so I called her. Her name is Naz and she was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! She asked why my daughter didn't tell the massage therapist she didn't want a swedish massage! I explained again her limitation to speak and she said well why didn't she tell her she didn't want it and why. I asked her did she not understand what I was telling her and she told me she didn't like my attitude and she didn't need my business! I have been coming to this spa for many years. She is NOT the original owner (who was extremely nice)! I asked when she took over this spa and she told me it was none of my business!!! I will NEVER use this spa again because of this!!!!! I called and made an appointment for a facial. My appointment was at 10:00. I know that that is when they open, but I would expect people to be ready when I walk in. Instead there was a lady walking around cleaning up with a street jacket on. There are signs everywhere that state please inform them at check in if using a gift certificate. So I informed the lady at check in I was using a gift certificate for my facial. She took it and placed it in my folder. I was walked to the waiting area where I waited for about 5 min. It's very quiet and relaxing. I was then greeted by Amber who walked me to our room. She did a nice consultation and looked up my previous facials. I also mentioned to her that I was using a gift certificate. My facial was wonderful. Very quiet and relaxing. Amber did a great job on my face which is the only reason I gave 3 stars after being pissed at checkout. After it was over I walked up to checkout and leave my tip and was informed that I had a $20 balance!!!! WTH!??? If I've informed everyone I'm using a gift certificate why in the world would you pick a facial more than my gift certificate. So after covering my "balance" and tip, my gift from my mother cost me $40!! My threading place does half price facials on Mondays that cost me less than that and are just as wonderful. I have been a customer of this spa for 20+ years. I treat myself about once or twice a year to a "spa day" and have always been impressed with the experience. The technicians have always been outstanding and continue to be great. I noticed last year that the facility was beginning to get run down. I had my spa day last week and the place shows that no money is being spent on the facility. The robes, towels, wraps and hand towels are all ratty and shredding apart. The door handles on the restroom doors are falling off and the fountain in the "relaxation" area is tilting and the wall crumbling under it. There is equipment stacked in the hallways and pathways. I travel extensively and am a spa junkie so have had treatments all over the world but continued to come to this spa and love it until the past 2 or 3 years. I am so disappointed as this was my treat each year but I cannot see it being open much longer in the current state. I had a $200 gift certificate I partially used in mid Oct for a massage. I accidentally left the certificate there and Crystal called me and left this message" You left your certificate and we will have it here for you whenever you want to pick it up". I assumed it would be there when I tried to use the balance yesterday for another service. Guess what? The certificate had mysteriously disappeared and they are blaming me for not picking it up. It was quite clearly in their possession and they already have the money so they are stiffing me on the balance. I still have Crystals message on my recorder. The manager was extremely rude on the phone. My fault, she said, for not picking it up and hung up. So I'm out the $125 balance due me. I would NEVER go back to this place. My wife has been going here for several years but the experience has been going downhill and hit bottom today. She and my daughter went to get their nails done and the nail polish the tech used was in such bad shape that it gummed and smeared. Her nails look better when she does them herself. The tech said that the owner doesn't want to buy high quality polish and makes them use "this" stuff. I called the salon to inquire what was going on and the owner wasn't there and the receptionist did not know when she might be in. It seems she doesn't keep a regular schedule at the business.
