I haven't had a massage in America in forever. But the kiddo wanted one despite my reluctance. I lived in both China and Thailand and I used to get massages daily while living there. So I'm kind of critical when it comes to judging massages. And I just knew it wouldn't live up to my expectations. First off the price in America is just ridiculously high compared to overseas. But isn't everything I ask? An hour combo at $60 buys you 30 minutes foot massage and 30 minutes body massage without moving to a new spot or 30 minutes moving to one of those face down chairs for the body massage (more like neck and shoulder in the chair). Regardless it's almost the same since you are face down either way, the main difference being they would also work on your lower half if you didn't choose the chair. First off let's make no mistake. This a Chinese establishment. Like so many places in Houston. The guy up front is actually from the same Northern province in China as my dad is from. And the workers - all Chinese. The guy working the desk will interpret for them what the customer wants. Like one customer came in and didn't want the legs or arms massaged (focus time on back and shoulder). And I can see why as they spend a whole lot of time on those areas otherwise. I'd probably say the same thing if I were to come back one day. My masseuse was an older lady. The women's hands were unfortunately weak. It was late in the day so maybe that's why. Not much pressure whatsoever. The only time I felt something was when I was face down and she was using her elbow to grind it in my back. It hurt like crazy. A few times I encountered this same thing in Thailand and I always hated it. It is really the lazy man's method for giving a massage. They soak your feet in a bucket of warm water at the start of the massage. And they cover your eyes too with a towel. No music. And it was very quiet (they don't chit chat with each other). The guy at the front was a bit standoffish at first. He seemed to not like me taking photos and asked me why I was doing that. When I explained I'd be writing a review and wanted pics he seemed ok and actually got a whole lot nicer. So we got the $60 massage combo massage. And they went the full time which I know some places (or some visits) don't always do. Credit card usage has a $3 surcharge. My daughter's masseuse was waiting by the front door as we paid upfront which is usually what they do overseas too. I think it's usually to get a tip. But my masseuse was nowhere in sight so I actually had to have someone track her down so I could give her a tip which being in America I felt was the right thing to do. Actually overseas now the Americans have spoiled the Thais to where it's expected there too now. Sad to see a beautiful art polluted like that. We did $10 each on a $60 massage. And they seemed happy with that. I've included some videos of the inside and price chart. I think their hours are shifted back from what is posted on Yelp and Google Maps, seeing as folks were just coming in as it approached 9 pm. And the door actually says 10 am - 10 pm too. read more

We initially went to the Massage Spa across from this location, but no one was at the front desk. He was complaining about upper back shoulder pain. Which was preventing him from exercising and doing certain tasks. Thankfully we seen this place across the way and decided to walk in to learn our options. The owner Luke was very friendly. We asked for the couples massage 60 min, which is only $120, +$3 If you use a card to pay. That's a great deal to me. And I am pregnant, so I asked if they have someone who is experienced. He called his wife to come from their other location and she arrived within 15 min. And it was just what we needed! While waiting for his wife Lucy, Luke helped put pressure and did some stretches and neck work on my partner, Chinese Tuian. And immediately after my partner felt tremendous relief! I was amazed. Especially bc he thought I could just give him a massage at home to work out the kinks. This Chinese Tuian was like magic with specific pressure points. Then once his wife arrived we began our couples massage. Mine was relaxing as I'm unable to receive too much pressure at 8 months pregnant. One thing I did notice is the massage Lucy did on my face helped clear my sinuses! Now I'm able to breathe well again! My partner's massage therapist used hot stones, and stretched him, did deeper pressure points. And he too has left feeling so much better than when we walked in. We are happy we found this place. Decided to check it out based on yelp reviews, but won't be back nor recommend anyone. Prices are raised and an hour combo is $50 now, however the ambiance and the constant chatting of masseuse are too annoying. I got an old lady who beside my repeated (probably asked 4+ times) request of strong pressure, didnt go beyond medium at tops (still tipped her 20%+ ), However , The asian guy there just didnt shut up and constantly communicating with girl at front desk while us three customers on recliner seating area listened to his chinese commentary. If they cannot respect the basics of this business (people go to masaage to relax and not other way around) then you shouod consider taking your hard earned money to somewhere else...I know i would as if it cost $50, then there are dozens other to try in area. read more

Safe and comfortable experience with guidelines in place! I was able to call and make an appointment for the next day for two 30 minute foot massages and they were great. For only $25 the foot massage was fantastic, and they include your scalp and shoulders too! There is a 20% tip minimum but I think that's reasonable. Overall great experience! read more

Decided to try someplace else besides A+ foot massage. I like Chinese massage. So this is my kind of place. It is quite small inside. Decor and bathroom were not pleasing to the eye. $80 combo body and foot 90 min total. Body used some accupressure at the beginning but otherwise was like a Swedish massage rubbing lotion the rest of the time. They briefly used hot stone maybe 5 mins. Foot massage also was lacking. Masseuse wasted too much time massaging my lower leg and tips of toes when my arch really needed the most work. It felt like a tease. Won't be back! read more

I did the 60min combo and she was phenomenal. She could tell if a certain pressure was hurting me and made sure I was comfortable with the pressure. One thing I would suggest to those coming in for a massage, bring headphones to drown out the noise, if you are easily distracted like me. When they massage your feet, where they are placed next to a gym, you can hear cars pull up and people talking while walking into the gym. It can be a little distracting. They always accommodate my request for an appointment 10/10 times unless my preferred masseuse is not available. Annie and Johnny are amazing. My husband found this little gem online and made us each an appointment for a 60 minute foot massage. We arrived on time and they took us right away. They started with the shoulders, the head and neck, the arms, the feet and legs. They moved us to massage tables in another room and where they worked on our back shoulders and then the back. The price is a reasonable $25. They add $1 each if you pay with credit card. We both loved the service and plan to be back, soon. I went to this place based on Yelp recommendations, and I was a bit disappointed. My niece and I did 30 min body massage and 30 min foot massage. They took us to a small room for the body massage. I told them we prefer to remain clothed and just wanted a dry massage. They were accommodating. Both my niece and I had to ask them to use less pressure, but once they adjusted, it was a nice massage. Then they moved us to the chairs up front for a foot massage. I leaned back and noted the stained ceiling tiles. We were just inside the front door behind a small divider so the room was not as dark as a normal massage spa. It smelled a bit funky, no relaxing aromatherapy. The front door was open so it was a bit warm and humid. The place is next door to a fitness center so you could hear lots of talking and noise. Whenever anyone came in for an appointment, you were basically in the same room so your peace was interrupted by that noise. Then from time to time the phone would ring loudly followed by conversation. The foot massage itself was nice. Because I'm in heels all day for work, my feet were crying for some solid luxuriating. A Yelp search led me here and while a 60-minute foot massage for $25 sounded astonishingly cheap, I was far too desperate to question it. Upon arriving, my masseuse ushered me into a room with a lot of squishy reclining chairs and gestured for me to remove my jewelry and pull up my jeans to my knees. This caused some confused back and forth as I tried to explain that my skinny jeans would only go up so far. We eventually commandeered my pants to an acceptable height across my calves but word to the wise: there are no robes here for a foot massage; wear flexible pants. The 'foot' massage actually turned out to be a full body massage, starting with the scalp and shoulders, moving down to the feet and calves, and then ending with the neck and back. This perplexed me a little, since there is another body + foot combination massage listed on the menu. I was torn while choosing a star rating because there were some distinctive high and low points. The foot massage was decidedly delicious. Hands down. There were parts of my feet that had been tortured by my shoes for months that regained all kinds of feeling. My male masseuse had strong hands and worked out every tension below my knees. Unfortunately, everything else was just okay. My back massage was torturous as he ground his forearm into my spine and my pained pleas to "go lighter" seemed to fall on deaf ears. He also released a few soft burps while working over me, which definitely killed the mood a little. The spa (if you can call it that) is located in a strip mall by a gym, and the outdoor noises that resound through the un-soundproofed doors certainly remind you of that throughout the massage. Coupled with the continuous phone ringing from the front desk, relaxation can sometimes be somewhat elusive.
