I'm still fairly new to the world of massages, but I enjoyed my visit here. The environment for my appointment was very relaxing, calm, and quiet. I was greeted right away, led through the waiver forms for my first visit, and led back to the massage space for my scheduled time. I was provided options with type of massage (Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal) and able to specify focus areas or areas off limits. The package I received included an elevation of hot stone therapy, which was a first for me and a nice touch. There was also complimentary aromatherapy included with several options including lavender, lemongrass, and eucalyptus. My masseuse was personable and respectful, making sure I was comfortable the entire time and providing me personalized recommendations for stretches at the end to try at home. Before exiting, the team member at front desk walked me through membership options. I expected it based on the other reviews, but it wasn't the most relaxing end to my self-pampering session. I have now had other issues with this location since this review. While trying to use credits that I had already paid for, I was informed that I would need to pay to use credits I had already bought. This location is completely unwilling to work with its customers and is not up front about the way that their policies work. Nearly a month has passed since my disappointing experience, and I still have not received any call from a retreat director regarding my refund. I called the location today and was informed that they are currently experiencing management issues, with a significant backlog of complaints over the last month. The customer service remains a nightmare--the front desk associate cannot authorize a refund, and I am forced to wait an unreasonably long time for a call from a retreat director. Given these issues, I will be contacting my bank to dispute the charge, as this location appears incapable of resolving its problems. I had a superb first experience at the Carmel location with a massage therapist that was chosen for me during a first time guest introductory promotion. Now months later, I scheduled a session online with the same massage therapist as part of my membership. Several minutes later I received a phone call notifying there will be a surcharge for the appointment with this Therapist because they are a one of two Therapist that are tiered and are in such high demand that they are booked out months ahead. I explained I booked this Therapist online for an available next day appointment and there was no mention of the upcharge at the time of online booking and that there was no surcharge at my introductory session. I've only had 3 professional massages in my life and 2 of them have been at Massage Heights. So I don't really have too much to compare my experiences to but these guys are pretty good. My fiancé is a member and lucky for me she got some 1-hour massage gift certificates to give to family and friends. After checking in at the front desk I was offered water and a comfortable seat to wait until my appt time. My masseuse came out and we had a quick conversation about what I wanted during my massage. Relaxation was my main motivation!! During the massage she checked in multiple times to make sure the pressure was at an acceptable level. I was a little stuffy so she offered some eucalyptus to clear my airways. She evened used a hot stone to work out one of my knots even though the hot stone elevation was not a part of my massage. I'd never had a proper table massage before. Just quick chair massages at events or mall kiosks, etc. So I was pretty nervous going into this. But I've been doing a lot of boxing training at Title Boxing in Glendale and my shoulders are super tight from all the heavy bag work. The environment is very inviting and friendly. It seemed very clean and the fixtures were all well maintained and nothing looked disheveled or like it needed restocked. The up front staff were friendly and helpful and seemed legitimately interested in providing me with a comfortable experience. My masseuse was also friendly and helped me through first time nerves. I receive a phenomenal facial by Micalea. She took her time and gave suggestions of products of all price ranges for my skin. I visited this location this past Sunday utilizing a gift certificate that I'd purchased at a silent auction hosted at my place of employment to benefit United Way. I must say the experience was mediocre at best. I arrived about 5 minutes prior to my appointment time and was assisted with the check-in procedures which included answering some questions about areas of focus and areas that I would not be comfortable having treated. I am very experienced when it comes to getting massages; I've been getting them for about 18 years in different settings, states and various types of treatments. I signed off on everything, including the disclosure regarding having your glute area treated. I met my therapist, Tracy, and she escorted me to the treatment room, confirmed my preferences from the check-in process, explained the process and left the room to allow me to disrobe. She returned at 1:01pm to start my 60-minute treatment, which ended promptly at 1:49pm. There was an asterisk on my gift certificate stating that they deduct 10 minutes from your treatment for prep time -_- . What I wasn't aware of until I got there is that the Elevation that came with my treatment (and usually costs extra) would take an additional 10 minutes out of my overall massage time. Luckily for me, I chose the facial massage as my Elevation, so it wasn't too bad. Anywho, in regards to the massage itself, I'd rate it a 6 out of 10. Tracy's massage technique was one that I've not experienced previously. It was a very long, slow (like, you almost couldn't tell her hands were moving, slow) stroke that ended with an extremely swift snap of her fingers. It's really difficult to describe. The time spent on my back was fair, but I did feel that my extremities (hands and feet) could've used a little more care. So be sure to specify that if you want a good foot massage. My glutes weren't treated at all, so I was baffled as to why I was asked to sign a waiver regarding that. After my treatment ended, I went into the lobby to settle up. I provided the staff person with my certificate which had been left blank, so she asked several questions regarding the timing of the auction where I'd purchased it, the name of the company I work for, etc. I thought it a bit odd, but I answered all her questions. She attempted to book another appointment in about 3 weeks for me to come back for another treatment to which I declined. She then went into a sales pitch regarding membership. The treatment I'd received would regularly cost $119.99, but with membership, it would only cost $69.99. If I signed up that day, she'd waive the $39.99 fee to become a member and defer my first monthly payment to next month. I respectfully declined that offer as well to which she asked what my reservations were. I let her know that I have a more affordable place to go for massages that doesn't require membership or appointments. She asked if I would mind telling her where. I told her that although Foot Finesse does not offer the "spa experience" it is convenient and affordable at $35 for a 60-minute full-body massage. She made a face, stated that she'd never heard of them and that she'd have to look them up. She then left the room to get change for me to tip the therapist with. At that point another employee began commenting on Foot Finesse. She said, "they're cheaper than us?! I thought our hour massage was cheaper." Then she went on to say that she didn't like the thing they did with the buckets, so obviously she's been there. I can't believe that she didn't recall their pricing being more affordable. And "the thing they do with the buckets" is called soaking your feet. It's nice in my opinion and they probably do it for their own sake. I'm sure everyone coming in for a massage isn't always fresh out of the shower, as nice as that would be. Overall, the interaction after the massage was very sales oriented and a bit annoying. I understand that you have to push your product and membership sales are likely key to the business, but that part was distasteful, in my opinion. My sister went to the Ironworks location recently and she said that must be a script because she got the same exact spill. She told me to expect a follow-up phone call as well! I haven't been answering for unfamiliar phone numbers for this reason! I'd usually at least give a business a second try, with a different therapist to see if I enjoyed it more, but I don't think I'll be returning. read more

In welcoming you to your personal retreat this place gets the massage/healing/relaxation vibe down pat. It is owned by a delightful young woman and her husband. This and the one at Iron Works. There are over 100 locations across the country and these are the first which are entirely web/cloud based. They try to use as little paper as possible. The private rooms are clean, peaceful, and have great names. The beds are temperature adjustable, warm towels, face masks and aromatherapy is also offered. They do take HSA, so that's a bonus. :) I had a facial and 90 minute massage, both were awesome. I also ended up signing up as a member to get the monthly discounted massages. So excited! read more

Each massage therapist that I've seen here has always been very attentive and thorough. I hold a lot of stress and tension in my neck and shoulders. My monthly massages here have been a game changer, and I always leave feeling like a million bucks. Beyond skill, the organization as a whole is just very kind and easy to work with. I recently lost work due to COVID-19 related closures. As such, I found myself having to cut down on expenses until things go back to normal. Freezing my account at MH was incredibly quick and easy. I haven't lost any of my pre-purchased credits. They even helped me set-up a check-in plan in the event that I need to extend the freeze or may long-term changes to my plan. This was my first time at this lucation. I normally go to the one that's closer to me located at Ironworks. I had a massage today with Ellen who is proudly displayed as the Employee of the Month, which I didn't see until my massage was over. I mention that because the massage she gave me was THE BEST and I see why she's employee of the month! She did everything she was supposed to do of course but just her personality was wonderful, she wasn't super talkative, she made she understand what I was there for which was relaxation, and she was very inviting. Oh. My. God. People. This was seriously the best massage I've ever had. I wouldn't have found this place if it weren't for the yelp event and I'm so glad I did. Makes me even more appreciative of my yelp elite status . I got an hour massage and I had a free hot stone add on as well. I've been getting massages for years at my chiropractic office and due to an insurance change I've been in the market for a new spot. This location is right off of Meridian/US31 and Main Street, right by the roundabout. There is plenty of parking and even some food options nearby if you're needing some refreshments afterwards. I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out my first time paperwork. Their questionnaire is very thorough - they want to know where you might need extra attention, medical history, and even if you have areas you'd prefer to not be touched. After filling out the paperwork my therapist, Scott, grabbed me right on time. He discussed my questionnaire with me and understood what type of massage I'd need. He also advises that he can adjust the pressure of the massage as needed and will ask you throughout to make sure you're okay. You begin by choosing your aromatherapy, ranging from lavender to lemongrass. As I've never had hot stones before he explained the process and told me exactly what to expect. As for the massage itself.... WOW. I prefer deep tissue with firm pressure, and I got exactly what I asked for, which is hard to come by as most people tend to be afraid to hurt me. He ensured throughout that the pressure was okay and wanted to make sure the temperature of the table was okay as well. I could feel the muscle tension release from my several months of hard workouts fade away. When it was time for the hot stones he ensured that each stone was not too hot, and even modified the treatment for me a little bit by having the stones on certain areas with more tension. He explained where the normal placement should be but suggested this for better muscle relaxation. After the massage I felt so incredibly rejuvenated and relaxed, and knew right then I would be coming back. We talked about our plan for next time and he even gave me a couple of stretches to help with some of my muscle tension in the meantime. I ended up signing up for the monthly deal where you get one massage and an add on (for example hot stones) for $69 a month. The best part... you can use your HSA!! Once you sign up as a member (which is a 12 month agreement) you get 1/2 off other services too... including extra massages and facials! I'll be fully utilizing my membership here and can't wait to schedule more. I already have my next massage on the schedule and I've texted so many people about coming here. I just love how relaxing it is every time I come here. Massage is truest therapeutic and it's wonderful to find a therapist with the ability to perform light touch and deep tissue in the same session. Tabitha was able to loosen some tight muscles that were causing me a lot of upper back pain and she seemed genuinely interested in my well being. The massage therapists were great at making sure their pressure was what we wanted, and each of our massages was customized to what we wanted. We had a hot stone elevation, and it was totally worth it. The complementary aromatherapy was also a nice touch. Everything was clean, everyone was kind, and the suggestions and notes provided after the massage was a nice touch. The one complaint was how intensely they pushed their membership program on us. We tried a couple's massage for Valentine's Day. There were two friendly receptionists in the entry to greet us. They went over preferences and consent forms with us on tablets before our session. The masseuse allowed us to choose a scent for aroma therapy and then dimmed the lighting for relaxation. The beds were comfortable with an adjustable chest plate, leg pillow, and warmers. We signed up for an hour, they were able to work from head to toe in this time. They both inquired about areas that needed attention and were sure to focus on those. We also had a hot stone elevation which was nice and allowed the muscles to relax further. It was great! They went the extra mile to greet us with water after the massage and offer suggestions to maintain the results. I would consider a membership. It's half price if you visit monthly. Meh. I received a gift certificate for my birthday and scheduled a deep tissue massage. I have never had the same massage therapist here and each time I hope for something different. No matter how specific I am about the areas and pressures I need, the therapists always revert back to their own style. This one started out strong and quickly fell off. While I was expecting a deep tissue massage, at best I ended up with petting, so much so that I almost fell asleep. It was definitely disappointing and then when I went to leave I had to deal with the hard core sell. Sorry, if I liked my massage id be back in a heartbeat. Instead I was asked multiple times if I wanted to sign up or reschedule. And then..... when using my gift card, they credited another members account and had to come out to my car and ask me to come back in so they could fix it. Not sure why I had to sit there an additional 20 minutes beyond my finish time for them to fix their own mistake. Overall, super disappointing experience. read more

Lobby is beautiful and the attendant at the front desk was exceptionally friendly. I'd gotten a deal through Groupon and she was sure to check to make sure it was applying to the trip. We had a consult to start and I was then led back to the massage room. Each room has lighting, music, and temperature control. My massage experience was okay. I've had much better massages at far lower prices, even using a Groupon price. The masseuse talked a lot...which bothered me. At the beginning of the massage, it's okay to check with your customer about pressure and location of where you're working, but 20 minutes in, I really don't want to talk about my job or summer plans. read more
