It had been a long time since I had a massage, and I happened to see the sign for this place as I…read morewas walking by. I have been having a harder time recovering from workouts, so the fact that the sign mentioned athletic recovery caught my eye. I looked up the website and reviews, and seeing that Tao really wanted to focus on individualized concerns, I decided to contact him. He was quick to respond, and I was able to get an appointment as soon as I had availability. Tao asked questions via text to figure out what to schedule, and then asked more questions when I got there for my appointment. As we started, I could tell he was really focusing on areas that needed help. Both sides of my body were not the same, so I appreciated that he was trying to get to the root of things versus just doing a typical deep tissue massage. I have had other massages where I felt like they just had a "routine" massage, and while nice, I was really hoping for something tailored to me. If you are looking for someone who really knows how to target problem areas, give Tao a try. He can also do things like cupping if that is what is needed. He did end up going longer than we scheduled, but I felt so much better after. He was so kind and professional. His prices are reasonable, and the little extras like a face mask and water with electrolytes were really nice. I hope to go back and get another treatment soon.

I did not realize how tight my neck and shoulders were until he really started working on them. I also felt he was deeply attentive as he worked - I feel asleep at some point because I was relaxed. I truly enjoyed the experience!!

I seriously cannot say enough good things about Neille. I was out visiting friends in San Diego and…read morehave had chronic back/hip/shoulder/neck problems and multiple surgeries over the last decade. I decided to see if Neille could squeeze me in while I was out there. He got back to me super promptly and accommodated my scheduling needs on short notice. He had me fill out some paperwork on what my body concerns were--there were many, and he actually read it, asked me questions, had me stand squarely and gave me his initial input about problem areas. I had an hour and a half session that was spent primarily on my hips, pelvic area, glutes and lower back. I have never been to a body work professional who is so thorough and has such an amazing understanding of the body. I have to say that a little over a month later and Neille really fixed my body. I have suffered from chronic pain and have been to dozens of massage therapists, chiropractors, doctors, etc. and no one else has been able to do anything but provide a short-term fix and a band aid to the pain. He recommended structural and posture issues I was having to be aware of and recommended that I start doing yoga again to help with the adjustments he made. I'm very active and had gotten my body into such a knotted mess that I wasn't sure there was any coming back from it--but it appears there was. I have never felt better and my excruciating sciatica and pelvic pain that was keeping me awake at night, not allowing me to sit at my desk for more than an hour at a time and just generally wrecking the overall well-being of my body has disappeared! I will for sure be going back to Neille anytime that I am in California. I cannot recommend him enough if you are having any kind of serious pain or issues with your body, stop shopping around go see him!
