I had an appointment at 1:45 pm Saturday and there is a declared state of emergency. I left a voicemail as my car is under water and I can't drive let alone leave my home without being to water up to almost me knees. I left a voicemail at 9 am. A few hours later I got a call back from someone named Corey saying they are charging me 50% cancellation because apparently I'm the only one that can't make it today. It's a declared state of emergency and we're in a flood zone and you don't have the common decency to not charge me- I tried to explain this to her. She still told me well everyone else can make it, you're the only one cancelling today. Mind you- this is the Oceanside location where there were homes that were flooded, streets flooded, trees down, power out and you don't have the decency to waive the cancellation fee for the day of a nor'easter. What type of response to someone is that? She was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I then get a voicemail from the manager Jamie Sunday the next day after Corey told me her manager was in Sunday. The voicemail from Jamie said she was calling me to let me know she's not working today but I keep calling. I didn't keep calling. I called and left a voicemail that Sunday as I was told she would be there. I called again today as she told me via voicemail she is on location today and would be speaking with me. Nothing yet. ---Update manager Jamie called me back Wednesday evening with a passive aggressive voicemail stating this is her third attempt at calling me after calling me once Sunday from a private number and twice after 8 pm Wednesday. I already spoke with the manager from another location who apologized on their behalf and got me my credit back. Stay far away from this location if this how the manager conducts herself. read more

I have never experienced worse customer service anywhere. I have been a member for years. Mostly because I can not get appointments that work with my schedule and have about 12 credits that I will never be able to use. I called three times so far to cancel. First I was told the manager would call me back. No call. Second time I was told manager would call me Tuesday. No call. A week later during my third call with the same person I spoke to the second time I was told the manager was as on vacation and of course I can't expect her to call during her vacation. Meanwhile I have been charged another monthly fee while I have been trying to cancel. The massage therapists have always been very nice and I hope they are treated better by management than the customers. read more

Masseuse was 15 mins late and ended 10 mins early... She wore gloves the entire time. Gross. I felt so uncomfortable. Do not go to this place. read more

The manager, JAMIE, at this property is horrible. Unprofessional, rude and needs training in Customer Service. She signed me up for a 3 month contract. She provided a date for me to call her on to cancel. I tried to get in contact with her 7 times. She didn't call me back once. I had to show up in the store to actually start the process. When I asked her why she never got back to me she said "I am doing it now." No apology just attitude. The service providers are excellent. It's a shame that the manager doesn't represent her employees with leadership. The owner of the store should reconsider who they are hiring as the face of customer service. read more

Massage Envy is one of the most horrible establishments to have to deal with. I signed up on a promotion for 3 months. After the 3 months I requested to cancel. Filled out the appropriate cancellation documents and here I am 4 months later still being charge and still trying to contact the management Not one person including corporate has responded to emails or to message I leave with the from desk. if you are considering buying a package do Not. The most frustrating experience I have had and this is a company that advertises and sells themselves on relaxation. read more

I had left a good review in the past due to finding a very good masseuse at the ME OS,NY. However, my masseuse had left. I called to cancel and spoke to Jamie, the manager on January 14, 2025. She said I can't cancel over phone, but she'll call me back because she's very busy. I told her I'd like to speak before my next scheduled auto deduction on January 28th. She never called and I was charged. I made an appointment to use another masseuse because I was billed. I asked in person to cancel on the day of my appointment, February 15, 2025. Once again, I was told I can't cancel without speaking to the manager because I need to get a form from her and return it to her in order to cancel. I told Cory, the receptionist that is insane since she never returned my call the first time! She said she'd put me on her call list. That was on February 15th...still no reply. I contacted corporate....that got me no where too! So, hence I had to put a stop payment on the ME auto deduct. Whoever owns this franchise in Oceanside should know the manager is inept and not an asset to their business. Had she returned my call, I may still be a member...like I have been for a decade. read more

Maria has been my main therapist and she has been nothing but amazing! I highly recommend this location as the other therapist have been nice in passing as well!! The only Con has been getting through to someone by phone. I have to go to the location for last minute appointments but they have been accommodating when I'm there. In-person overall has been nice location and atmosphere! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. First of all, the woman who gave the massage (which I can't say was even a massage... it was more like a patting on the back) came to work late that day which resulted in the 60 minute massage I booked (minus the 10 minutes of consulting) to only be a total of 40 minutes! When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told she wasn't in and she would call me the following day. Well she never called. Gave her a week to call back, but nothing. I had to call back only for her to say she was too busy to return my call. Really, that's your job, but then again it just confirms my point that Oceanside Massage Envy is poorly run. After calling for the 3rd time, finally got to speak with the manager only for her to tell me I booked a 45 minute massage. Number one, I never asked for a 45 minute massage, and if that was the case why was I charged $130.??? According to their website, a massage for $130 is for 60 minutes NOT 45 minutes (or I should say 40 minutes in my case). The manager at Oceanside not only neglected to return any calls from the get go, but when I finally spoke to her, she twisted the truth. Very poor customer service, and overall Just a bad experience! I do not recommend this establishment! read more

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE I came here with my sister which was a treat for my 25th birthday. Long story short we booked a hot stone massage but it was not available when I arrived instead I opted for 90 minute massage. I wasn't satisfied and before I could even leave they offered me a credit for next time. Thankfully my sister spoke to the manager and was able to get me complimentary massage since my experience didn't go as expected. Special thank you to Talata! I'm 25 now but boy did she make me feel like I was 18 again! She was professional, kind, and a natural born-healer. She listened to my body and found tension where I didn't even know I had trouble at. The only downside is I don't live in NY and can't come here regularly. P.s don't forget to tip your masseuse or me and my friends will find you and publicly shame you! read more

Unfortunately, I am dissatisfied and would not recommend this business. However, my therapist is excellent, but it is nearly impossible to get an appointment even the same week when I am experiencing pain. Today I called to see if they had any cancellations for tomorrow and they told me they had one this evening so I took it due to the amount of pain I've been in . While trying to get their after work, a major road was closed totally do to a giant sink hole. When i I called to tell them that I wouldn't be able to make it, they told me they were going to take half of my money away because I didn't cancel the day before. This business has caused me more stress and anxiety and not to mention my money in which now they owe me two months massages because they can't accommodate all their customers..... oh wait they took half of one away ! Bad business !!!!!!! I recommend the Korean massage place . It's cheaper and easier tk get an appointment at least the same week you are experiencing pain in which I have from a medical condition!!! read more

Everyone is friendly. My first time with GinaMarie, she was excellent, a lil talkative but a great massage. I will definitely be going back to her. The gentleman that I had before no longer works for them. I find that every time I find someone I like, they leave. That goes for all the Massage Envy's I've been to for a massage. It appears to be a high turnover...... why? I've been a member for 9 years. read more

First time at this massage chain and last time. So I had a gift card that was given to me for Christmas and finally decided to finally use it. I went in for a facial and a Massage. Let's start with the massage. The massage wasn't all that great. I was expecting to get hands on massage and instead I got a lot of pressure point massaging. Wasn't satisfied with that. Wish it was more of a massage. Facial: This was my first time getting a facial. To my knowledge facials are to cleanse the face scrub and and extract. Right. Well to start off the girl wasn't going to even take my mascara off had I not mentioned it. She did what she had to but with like maybe 5 extractions. I have little white heads that could've been extracted. This was more of a face massage than anything else. No mask no nada. When I'm don't my eyes are all black from the mascara like what were you doing. Your face is suppose to look "bright and plumppy the next day" as the girl told me. I had zero of that. I thought my face looked the same. But must say the facial girl was nice. I also had to pay for my services ahead of time which was odd. Because apparently their system was going to be working that d Very very very unsatisfied with my service for this. This was done 2/25/2019. I feel like I wasted my gift card on a service that wasn't worth it. I wouldn't even think of going there again. After this review the manager offered me to come back and repeat it with his exceptional fácial and massage person. Well I did. I took the offer and went back. I must say the guy that did my fácil this time did a amazing amazing job. My fave was actually glowing for almost 2 weeks no make up just mascara. And my massage person it was a great massage. Put oil rubbed and massaged my head. Defiantly worth it that time around. Thank you for offering to have this repeated the right way. read more

I came in Friday Before Mothers Day, Didn't know what to get my mom, Massage is a great way to help relax and calm anyone. I went to this location and as I entered I was overwhelmed with neat and tidy how the place was. I was approach by a staff member name Sarah, she was an amazing person cheerful , Calm, and Polite never met someone with great characteristics at a Massage Envy. I spoke to Sarah about how I need to get my mom a Mothers Day Present, she had splendid options on what I can do for her, after a great conversation I decided to go with a 3 month Gift card for my mom. The idea she gave me was terrific and definitely end up making my mom so happy that she enjoyed the gift very much, Never knew how much a staff member could provide such great service hands down 10/10. I would recommend anyone to this location with the clearness and fresh scents as I walked in and cute fish I saw made me want to come back , Thank You Massage Envy Staff and Sarah for the great service and options provided to me I'll definitely come and treat myself for a massage. So, I gotta say, for what it is, I like Massage Envy. I was treated to a massage here as a Valentines Day gift and ended up being so happy with the service, I'm now partaking in their monthly massage club. Was contacted by manager who refunded me in full and was very apologetic for the issue.

I love Massage Envy in Oceanside! The people at the front desk are very nice and efficient. The place is warm and clean and very relaxing. After trying several massage therapists, Ephraim is my favorite and I have been getting fabulous massages from him for about two years. I signed up for yearly memberships as it is more economical. I look forward to each massage (I get one monthly with my membership) and I absolutely love Ephraim! He has magic hands! And he is so nice! One complaint -- there should be more men at the reception desk -- in fact one man would be great -- there's always just a lot of women! But overall, this place is wonderful! read more

NEVER AGAIN!! My Massage Therapist actually makes my back hurt more. The Front Desk is unprofessional and are left alone with no manager on site to handle situations. I had to cancel last minute bc my husband has Covid and they wanted proof. When wanting to speak with a manager I was told the manager was out due to illness but will be in tomorrow. I also was told that my massages "expired" and I'd have to "eat" what was left on my contract. The Front Desk staff and manager also had me on a VIP list and only offered me times when I was at work. After many times of telling them that it's not going to work, the postit they had at the desk letting everyone know, numerous phone calls from them asking if I can come in during the day etc etc, everyone confirming that I'm off the list...I still get notifications. Not only have I now lost massages on my dime, you're all thieves, liars and nothing but walking human migraines. Shame on your extremely unprofessional staff! To think of all the business I gave you over the many years and now this. Disgusting! read more

Massage envy in Oceanside is absolutely my go to place for the best massage and stretch . Jenna and Theresa are wonderful . My masseuse Lucie is so attentive to all my needs. It's such a pleasure to know that when I come in everything is perfect. The bed is warm, she checks if I'm comfortable because sometimes you need to re-adjust your position. Her pressure is awesome.!!!!!! I leave feeling calm, pain free and always look forward to my next massage! Thank you Lucie and Massage Envy. Professional and Courteous. Betty read more

This was my third massage so I do have something to compare it to. My first massage was on Park Avenue in NYC, second was at a five star hotel in the Dominican Republic. So this place had big shoes to fill. They were having a special, 1-hour massage for $35 so a friend and I both tried it. My friend loved it & felt completely at ease...as did I... until....my massage therapist abruptly woke me up with some sort of cold liquid on my feet. I almost jumped out of my skin. She Purell'd my feet!!!! Since I only spent $35 + tip, I didn't say anything and will only return when they have specials. Pros: - flexible scheduling - super sweet staff Cons: - walls are so thin, too many outside distractions - I accidentally found out there was a transition room after I got dressed and paid. Felt like wham bam thank you ma'am. No tea, cucumber water, hanging out in my robe....that's one of the best parts of a massage :( read more

Well....where do I begin... I was gifted several sessions from my daughter in Az.- I was recommended to go to the Oceanside location from my girlfriend who has be going there for awhile and has nothing but good things to say about the way things were run along with a great masseuse named Ken. So off I went and was greeted by a gentleman who was very warm and personable and helpful as I had a problem that he helped me with before I even walked thru the door. Then I had a terrific massage from Ken, and I specifically saw him as I have several physical issues, and for the first session, he did wonders. Can't wait for my next session. When I got ready to leave at the front desk the young lady was very helpful and professional. When I asked to see the owner as to discuss a membership, it happened to be the gentleman who met me at the door. All in all it was a great experience, no pressure was made for me to join, just an sincere interest in my satisfaction. I highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and pleasurable experience, this is where to go... read more

Massage Envy's basic premise is join, and once a month, you have a one hour massage. Its $59 a month to become a member (after your first $49 intro massage rate). The massage therapy ranges from relaxation to medical to sports to sweedish. You can use the same therapyst or try a new one each month. Terrible organizational skills. I made a couple's appointment two months ago, and the day before the appointment I get a call that mine has to be cancelled because the person I was booked with had an emergency.
