Horrible experience. What a waste of time and money! I ran 10 minutes late. When I walked in she starts in on me that I am late, I will only get 20 minutes out of my 60 minute booking. I asked if I could rebook the appointment, and she says, no, I have to pay the full amount today. They take your credit card number when you book an appointment, I guess that should have been the red flag there. So she has me answer a bunch of questions on a tablet, which mind you, I am already in the system. I get into the room, and I have to answer a bunch more questions on a tablet that isn't taking my signature. Then the aesthetician says I have 5 minutes to undress. I said, let's save the time, I am not getting undressed for a facial. Let's just start it now. She says, no, and walks out of the room for 5 minutes, then comes in and sets me up. That is 1/2 hour of time wasted. She almost purposely goes extremely slow to apply the face stuff and take it off. I mean, SLOW. I have had facials, and this was intentionally slow. So, at the end, which is now 10 minutes I have left. That's allowed for me to get dressed. Unbelievable. You have got to be kidding. What a bunch of crooks. I have been going to massage envy now for several months. Chris is normally my therapist but he was on vacation. He is great. Booked a 90 minute with another therapist who came highly recommended as well. 2 hours before my appointment she was injured and they had to cancel. Understandable. They told me they had nothing else for that day but the following day with someone else Robert who did deep tissue. What a miserable experience and couldn't wait for it to be over. A therapist should ask how pressure is within 10 minutes of massage. This didn't happen so I decided to speak up. Asked him to go harder and his answer was I'll try. Well if that was trying it wasn't very good. Wish I wouldn't have wasted my money today. I am very detailed about what my likes and dislikes are.He should never be recommended for deep tissue. My Little teenage sister was sexually assaulted by one of the male masseuses. He touched her in areas she said "no" to and dirty talked to her. Great massages. Hooked me into a membership. I couldn't go to the massages and passed them to my daughters and friends. This was at a $10 cost. After one year I quit and they did not honor the gift certificates that I had purchased. Sent my daughter away. SOOOO don't join if you can't make each appointment. Had an appointment scheduled for over a month and staff canceled my appointment the day before with no knowledge to me! Allowing my appointment to be released and rescheduled by someone else (probably their friends). Very, very unprofessional! What makes matters even worse is they called me a week prior to my appointment to confirm it. If I am confirming I will show for an appointment how does it make sense to cancel, making me burn gas to get to your location. -5 out of 10 would not recommend. This location has horrible customer service! I called and the phone rang until I got their voicemail. I decided to call back 10 minutes later to see if I could speak with someone. The employee must have accidentally answered the phone because all that I heard was "are they seriously calling back again," before they hung up. I called back on another phone a little while later and this time they answered. When I asked if there were any appointments available, they simply replied "no" and that was it. The location is open for another 5 hours, so I find it unlikely that they do not have any openings. I frequently visit Massage Envy and I've never dealt with this low quality of service at any of their other locations. read more

I have been a member of Massage Envy for a while. I started my membership in New Jersey and the service there was awesome they were very accommodating and the massages were great. I live in Ocala now and when I can get a massage it's great but most of the time there isn't anything available. I have called at least 4 times in the hope of getting a massage and nothing. I suffer with MS and when I have bad days I really could use the massage to help with my pain but this membership doesn't work if I can't use it. Once I finish all the credits I have I'm going to cancel since this location doesn't work. read more

It is amazing to have such horrible reviews for Massage Envy in Ocala - I have had nothing but EXCELLENT massages from Lian. She does book in advance and as she is my only choice, I have to book early. She is fantastic at what she does - deep tissue and her personality is positive and uplifting. I have had excellent customer service from the front desk as well. They are busy and sometimes you do have to leave a message or call back but these are few and far between. I believe when they have a customer at their desk they shouldn't answer the phone. Norrene and Brie have always been very accommodating, professional and polite - with smiles on their faces when I come in. I would give them a try and form your own opinion. read more

WORST MASSAGE EVER! The staff is rude and inconsiderate. The girl that gave me a massage was lazy and kept stopping the massage to talk. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. I had never had a massage before so I was very nervous. Charlotte and the front desk associates made me feel at ease and comfortable.
