They couldn't take their dues for 2 months and sent me a collections letter and suspended my account. I had $150 in services that I already paid for and they did not allow me to use it, without first "catching up" with my dues. Read the fine print. This place will steal from you if they can... and only ONE of their massage therapists was worth going to. read more

TERRIBLE MANAGER AND LAST MIN CANCELLATIONS! I have been going here for 3-4 years now but it seems to be going downhill starting with manager-Joanna who calls me (on multiple occasions) on the day of my appointment to cancel. I was able to reschedule with a different provider who was advertised as able to do "all pressures" apparently she wasn't so I asked to stop after 5mins and rescheduled with a different provider. Joanna then leaves voicemail about cancelling my membership. I call her and she tells me she is cancelling my membership because I upset her new hiree who she worked so hard to train. Apparently Joanna does not know the first rule about managing a business. Will gladly take my business elsewhere and you should too!!! read more

The message therapist at this location are not skilled. I have received 4 messages(year membership) and have not been pleased. Asked to cancel membership or pay off at a discount. I had been coming here for years... and today was frustrating. I scheduled an appointment in person two weeks ago. I never got a phone call for rescheduling or confirmation.. but showed up for my appointment today regardless. Apparently the specialist I had an appointment with no longer works here and they didn't reschedule my appointment with anyone or call me. Every time I come here and get a different therapist, they become my new favorite. I haven't had a bad massage here. I appreciate that there are multiple therapists to accommodate my hectic schedule. Another benefit of having different therapists at hand is that you get different specialties, it is good to receive different techniques. You can reschedule with the same therapist though. I only did a 6 month contract. Sometimes they offer 3 months but you have to pay in full. I have also had facials here. I recommend the Murad products. I booked an appointment randomly with Brock, and holy wah was that a good choice. He was courteous, attentive, and ensured throughout the entire process that I was comfortable and getting the work I needed. The Greek Gods have blessed this fella with a talent...needless to say I'll be back frequently, because the price and quality of service from Brock was an A+! My husband and I decided to do couple's massage and this Massage Envy is very close to our home. They had an cancellation and called to let us know we could come early if we wanted. They were very courteous and greeted us promptly. We were then taken to the 'tranqulity room' to wait for the massage therapist to greet us. The tranquility room was very nice and relaxing. The facility is MUCH larger than it appears. We had our massages in ajoining rooms. My massage was a 7 on a scale of 1-10, but I will be back. You can upgrade to foot scrubs, aromatherapy, hot stones and facials. One day I'll get ALL the upgrades! lol read more

I am a member here at Massage Envy- i come in normally twice a month for facials & massages. I've never had a bad experience at this location, the last facial i received from Madison. Madison was fantastic from start to finish. She made sure to discuss what my concerns and issues were with my skin and recommended great products for me to help with my skin. The facial she gave me was very relaxing, she made sure to give me detail with everything she was using for me. The only thing i would recommend is to go deeper within the massages with the neck, hands, and arms. The front desk staff was very welcoming with smiling faces! I made an appointment last week through the app. That was a mistake, because apparently the app doesn't always keep the appointments. Not worth the money. The first massage I received there was the only good massage I received there. Every massage after that was probably the worst massage I've ever received in my life. One gentleman actually gave me a "massage" that I can only describe as excruciatingly awful. The staff is friendly, but incompetent. Every massage I've had there it is always a hassle at the front desk with checking me out, despite my credit card being on file. There are maybe two people who work there that seem to understand how to run the system and get you checked out, otherwise plan on spending an extra 15 minutes while they fumble around. If you do decide to go to this location, I highly suggest you do not let them talk you into a membership. Sure it's cheaper, but they lock you into a year contract that you in no way can get out of, and a years worth of horrible massages and mediocre service is not worth the $60 a month, but it's no wonder why they force you into a contract, otherwise I don't think they would make any money. The only thing keeping me from giving only one star, is because their staff is friendly, otherwise I'd say take the cheap first massage they offer and run. You'd be better off getting massages at home from your significant other, than paying for monthly disappointments. read more

I had a massage scheduled at 5pm yesterday. I got there 5 mins til and waited in the car like it prompted me to do so. They finally sent a text message at 5:10 saying that they were ready for me. We got into the room and we talked a little bit about certain areas I wanted her to focus on and what pressure I prefer and I told her medium/hard, she went out of the room so I could get undressed. By the time this was said and done it was about 5:30 she finally came back ready for the session to start. I knew this because I looked at my phone a couple of times because it seemed like she was taking a little bit to come back in after I got on the table. When it ended after she left the room I looked to see the time because it seemed a little fast and it was 5:57 however I booked and paid for a 60 min massage. Not only did I not receive what I paid for I left in pain and woke up this morning with bruises on my back because of how hard of pressure she applied to my back. I am very disappointed in the result I have received, I booked this with intentions to decompress and feel relaxed however I left in pain and felt rushed out of the 115 service I paid for with a $15 dollar tip i left after the front girl proceeded to show me a tip chart after I said leave $10 for tip which that made me feel uncomfortable because I already was not pleased with my experience I just had. read more

This was my first time getting a professional massage. It was good although I don't have another place to compare it to. Did the hour long couples massage and during the massage it felt good. No complaints. Room was quite and relaxing. My wife and I weren't right next to each other but we were in the same room. It was a big room with a divider. After the massage was over, I didn't exactly feel like I had just gotten a massage though. It's a little pricey but like I said, I don't have anything to compare it to. I called at the beginning of the month to freeze this month. While I was told that it would be done the next business day. I have been charged. When I called to learn why apparently the associate only placed a note and the manager hasn't gotten around to it. All members payments come out at the same time. First contact- I called in to book a facial and spoke with Shauna. She was very personable and answered all of my questions. I booked two days in advance. The day before, she called me to confirm and it's a good thing because I couldn't recall the time of my appointment. Reception- I arrived 15 minutes prior to the appointment to fill out the intake form that asks a few health questions and your specific concerns for your facial. Mine was extraction. I really wanted a deep clean. The receptionist was informative and was very hospitable. After filling out my forms she had me sit in the tranquility room. It's a darkened room with a television that has images of nature, some art, and a sweet electric fireplace . The lights are dim, there's spa music playing (nature sounds with instruments ,not new age) bonus! * they had around 6-8 chairs in there. And one seat that looked like a couch. It was not comfortable it sort of felt like a bench that had been upholstered. I was only there for a minute before Anisha my aesthetician scooped me up. We walked to the treatment room and went over whether I have allergies sensitivity etc. Facial-first she use the steamer on my face and it was pointed at my eyes initially but she straightened it out at my request. It was really good steam ,then she sprayed some lavender mist for aromatherapy. Next she used some cleanser and mask etc. and went through and did the whole facial. Everything was on point. Her massage was nice, she made me feel very comfortable. And my skin looked awesome after. She used something with sulfur because I had some serious breakouts Thanks "Aunt Flo" it smelled weird until I washed it off late last night. But it cleared my face up pronto! Talk about results. It's the day after and my face is soft like silk . I only had a few minor issues. But they are the same thing I think you might find everywhere unless you were at a high-end spa. These things do not reflect on my provider, but the protocol of massage envy. 1: Running the water to wash her bowls between steps of the service. It's loud and distracting ,however if you're booked back to back your treatment room must be ready to turn over for next client so I understand I just prefer quiet. 2:Speaking in a louder than normal spa voice.3:When she did my hand and arm massage she skipped my fingers. 4:There were a few times during the facial massage that she did some downward strokes rather than all upward strokes which in my experience I've never had that happen. 5:there was a loud bang outside the room when I first got in the room. ( the heavy bathroom door slams shut on its own if you don't hold it) 6:during extractions there is a washcloth over your eyes rather than two separate eye pads with cucumbers . So each time she moves the cloth to extract on another area you see a blinding light through your eyelids. I'll bring my own next time because my eyes are very sensitive . *As you can see these are all very minor issues, but if you're a spa veteran you will notice. Checkout: Shauna was there to check me out. But the phone was ringing off the hook. I waited around a few minutes and decided to use the restroom. (That's how I found out the door slams). I went back to the tranquility room to chill for a bit because I was extra relaxed after Anisha's Facial. I tried to check out again-Success. I decided to sign up for the monthly service,because I know you get what you pay for and if I want a 5 star spa experience then I'm going to have to pay for it$$$$$. The only negative at checkout was the phone kept going so Shauna was just trying to finish up my paperwork and answer my questions with people on hold and two people in line. I'd say she needs backup. She didn't get a chance to go over the facial products that were recommended because if that. But all in all for a $50 facial it was worth it ! It was relaxing and Anisha was very professional. She was kind and accommodating, I did let her know about the things I didn't like and I know she will take them into consideration next time. Not a bad place. Very clean, the staff is very friendly and informative. They have a great membership plan that reduces the price of massages per month if you go that often other than that the massages are at average price. Now on the negative side, they short change you five to ten minutes on massages. A 90 minute massage turns out to be 80 to 85 minutes. I have never experienced this with any other place and I have been getting massages for about nine years in two different states. Another thing is that this particular location does not offer online scheduling but others do. Don't know why. Other than this, it's an ok place. I took advantage of an online coupon to experience place. My wife and I were greeted well, staff is very friendly and informative. We filled out the required documents before being relocated to a tranquility room. This is where we met up with out massage therapists. These guys seem very professional to the point of being scripted. The facility was very clean. We had adjoining rooms that was good for couples. The therapist made sure we understood what we were getting and asked specific questions. I did find it odd that a 60 minute massage was cut short by 10 minutes for disrobing and set. I opted for the Deep tissue and my wife selected the medium relaxation. My wife absolutely enjoyed her experience, mine on the other hand lacked the luster I have experienced at other facilities. After trying Massage Envy for the second time, my recent experience quickly reminded me why I should have kept my account closed. A few years ago I had a problem with the Ortega account services and unprofessional management: they charged my account claiming it was a mixup. This time the accounting and unprofessionalism at both the Ortega and Oakleaf office were much worst. I planned a trip out of the country for the month of March 2018. At my last visit in April to the Ortega office, I told the front desk person to close my account. Her reply was "not a problem it's taken care of." After returning home from my trip, my account was charged twice the monthly rate and $60 additional for services. I again reached out to the manager at the Ortega office who panned me off to the Oakleaf office regarding closure: neither seemed to understand or offered a solution to the problem: just to complete the form. The Oakleaf office manager assured me that she would send me the form to close my account via email: which did not happen. Needless to say, this time I wrote a letter, made a copy, completed their form and took pictures as proof. To sum it all up in few words, their accounting and management suck at the Ortega and Oakleaf Massage Envy locations! Be warned and be informed! read more

Made an appt for a massage. Was never asked for a credit card nor did anyone explain that I would be treated any different. Would of been happy to give one over the phone. They called me the day before my appt and asked if I still wanted it, I said yes. The next day, (1-2/2hrs before my appt) they called to tell me someone else called to make an appt and gave there credit card. Therefore, they got my time slot.
