I scheduled an appointment prior to coming in for a Lymphatic Drainage massage. I was very specific when I scheduled the appointment. The receptionist assured me that they had someone that could take good care of me. I made arrangements for my children and headed to my appointment, filled a few documents and waited. Once my turn was up the masseuse was completely confused as to why they would say he was knowledgeable in Lymphatic Drainage massage. Him and the receptionist were going back and forth about what he specialized in, etc.... It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We switched to this location when Brookfield suddeny and without warning closed, and we couldn't be happier. Support staff are so friendly and accommodating. We don't have a problem getting appointments and they rarely cancel, which was not at all the case in Brookfield. The facility is clean and tranquil. My only comment that's a bit more con than pro is that sometimes you are shorted your massage time by a few minutes. read more

Do not patronize Massage Envy in Trumbull, Ct. ! They stole money from my daughter's credit card by saying she had ordered extra eye and neck services in addition to my Mother's Day facial which she hadnt. They then tried to say I had asked the aesthetician for those services which was a complete lie. Also, they falsely advertise that you are buying an hour facial when in reality it is only 45 minutes. Unlike all other spas that ask you to arrive early to complete the required paperwork, Massage Envy deducts that time from your treatment. And the woman behind the desk was extremely rude. read more

I didn't arrive late for my appointment. I was on time and completed necessary forms. So we started on time. Upon completion of my service, I allowed other guests to check in ahead of me paying. Your explanation of citing policy implies that I was late and that's why my service was short changed. I arrived on time. I didn't get the full service. I wish you rectified the situation. I wish the Manager called me back within 3 days of my first call. These things didn't happen. I had to call twice to get the Manager to take my call. I will not return to your location. It's clear to me the owner isn't on property. I just don't understand why you won't make this right. read more

I got my mom a standard massage for mother's day (no add-ons) and when she arrived they told her I had also purchased 2 add-ons for an additional $30. She was confused but accepted it. When I saw an additional $30 on my bill, I called ME and they said my mom had requested the add-ons. They blatantly lied and were trying to scam us. Terrible and will never return. read more

I was so looking forward to to my 90 minute massage today. Instead of walking out feeling great I left frustrated and annoyed. The massage was fine until it ended 30 minutes earlier than it should have. When I raised the concern to the masseuse she told me that according to her schedule I was 30 minutes late to my appointment. Not true. I explicitly requested a 4:30 appointment and arrived 10 minutes before as instructed. I was told that they called to confirm the time for 4 and then again when I was late. They called and confirmed 4:30. I have no idea who they called when I was "late" but it wasn't me. I was asked to pay for the hour and a half at a discounted rate and told I could book again. How about you charge me for what you gave me after your screw up?! Disappointed. read more

I figured sine my copay for a chiropractor is about the same as a massage, I thought I'd give it a try. Needless to say I now have a chiro appointment for next week. I specifically said please do not touch my feet as they are sooooo ticklish. Also that the main problem was my lower back. Well what's the point on filling out the forms if the masseuse doesn't listen anyways and then wants to get mad when my reaction is to kick when my foot gets touch it's that bad. How is this legal? Been a member for years...built up 13 unused sessions and price goes up to $70/month. I request to cancel membership and am told by business manager I would have only 60 days to use the sessions I have prepaid for!! Alternatively I can pay them $20 a month just to use the sessions I already paid for. What a scam!!!!!!! I can't wait to get my sessions over so I can never go back again! Buyer beware! P.S. I received a gift card for my birthday for a massage. I have been for many massages before, always at day spas or casinos and was a little hesitant to go to a "chain", but it was going to be free. I called at around 11 to see if I could get in the same day and scheduled an appointment for 1:30. The staff were kind and courteous and the place itself clean and relaxing. I had the pleasure of having Erik give me my message and was very pleasantly surprised at what a great message it turned out to be. He was great and very professional. As I stated I have had many massages during my life and I have only had one that was better. Great job to all involved. Was seriously contemplating using their massage membership but after reading reviews regarding it I think I may stick to Just popping in occasionally. I went here for the first time to relax and was very unsatisfied. The lady that gave me the massage was sick and was blowing her nose and sneezing over me during my whole message. Not to mention the actual method of the massage was very unpleasant and not relaxing. I asked for a normal Swedish massage for the whole body and she painfully dug her fingers into crevices of my back and completely left out my arms and legs. I walked out feeling very unsatisfied and in pain the next day. I would never go back to this lady and probably not this location either. read more

It looks like most of the issues revolve around membership, which I would imagine stems from corporate policy - no fault of the staff here. I had a great experience! I had two gift cards that I'd held onto for a long time, and finally scheduled a 60 minute massage and 60 minute facial. I found both to be very high quality (thank you Tammie and Michelle!) and the atmosphere was very professional and relaxing. The location is in a diverse plaza ranging from restaurants, a liquor store, pet supplies, and even a gym. The staff are very accommodating especially because I am the queen of calling the same day I want to come in, and I have yet to be turned down. I am a member so I am sure that helps with bookings, but even being a member doesn't guarantee you same day service. There tranquil room is very bright and doesn't have the same low key calm ambience as others, it looks more like a posh waiting room. My tip would be if you have an appointment after 5pm arrive early to get parking as the gym in the plaza occupies a lot of the parking at this time. read more

Useless staff not helpful and unprofessional and I will never go there or to any massage envy place ever again. I contacted them only to make an appt for reflexology about two weeks ago. Someone called me back within hours. Then a couple hours later I got another call for the same thing. Weird but whatever. I made my appt. but the day before they called to cancel b/c There is only one person for reflexology, fine. About two hours later I get another call saying they are calling to verify my appt. and then a couple hours later a third call saying they were confirming but now are canceling but have someone else who will take my appt. I called back day of appt and asked again if this person can go reflexology and to tell them I got three different calls in one day with everyone saying something different. The girl on the phone was soooo rude, cutting me off and then tells me no that no one else can take my appt. I can't get another for about two weeks. No thanks I will go somewhere else. read more

First time there and it was by far the worst experience. Mike, receptionist there is rude and disrespectful. I was appalled at the way he talked to me. I told him that I will be sure to speak to his manager and his response was, " go ahead, it's not like I'm going to get in trouble." Poor service, especially as a paying consumer. Be very cautious if you decide to sign up for their discounted membership. I paid for 15 plus months and used roughly 6 services. I decided not to renew my membership because I figured I had 9 massages waiting for me to use, so why sign up again? After I cancelled I started to receive numerous phone calls to sign up again and I said no because I had 9 services remaining, at that point they said I have 30 days to use all of them. I became pretty upset at that point, no one ever mentioned to me that I had a time limit. When I signed the membership it was to help me relieve myself of stress and Massage Envy just added to it with how they treat customers. My advice spend a little more money and go else where, hope this is helpful. read more

I received a gift certificate for my birthday and decided to try this location. I completed an on-line appointment request and was called back the next day....very promptly. They had availability the day I needed. I did not arrive early to fill out my paperwork but they were quick processing me. The girls at reception were very pleasant and answered all of my questions. The tranquility room is very nice but I did not wait long at all. Joseph did a wonderful job on my massage. It was certainly one of the better massages I have received. My only complaint was that the room was a bit chilly but they were having issues with their heat and it was a cold rainy day outside. The table was nice and warm with the blankets. I also had a facial by Elaine. It was nice not having to leave the room. She did a very nice job. All and all I would go back and almost signed up for the membership. Only thing that stopped me was the thoughts of all the expenses of my newborn twins, lol. read more

Worst massage I've ever received, and I've had several in many different styles and from many different places. The massage I had last year on a chair in the airport was better than this. I should have gotten up and left after 10 minutes, but I stuck it out, figuring the massage therapist was going through some kind of counterintuitive sequence, and maybe it would get better in the next minute...ok, in the next minute...ok, in the next minute. Nope, it never got better, even after a good amount of communication on my part. Just a bad massage for 50 minutes straight. I walked out feeling worse than when I went in, and like an idiot for dropping $70+ for a combination of sloppy pokes, pinches, and random alternations between zero pressure and extreme pressure. I should have refused to pay, but I was in such shock afterwards that I handed over my credit card to the receptionist. This is not body work; this is a joke. The massage therapist was not responsive to my feedback during the massage and was frankly rather rude. I honestly wondered on the way home whether he had any training at all, he was so unprofessional, and a few hours later, I developed a sharp pain in my shoulder and neck, which I will now have to book another massage (at a different place!) to remedy. I should have gotten up and left in the middle of it, as it became increasingly obvious that the massage therapist did not give a damn. Would not recommend. read more
