First, the doctor (Mark Berstein) who saw my son and prescribed the medicine is very professional and helpful. It's the on-call doctor and nurses (on Friday, June 18th) that got them the one-star review. In a nutshell here's what happened: My son was diagnosed with Lyme disease and the practice forgot to send my son's prescription to the pharmacy. I called them multiple times trying to get it fixed. The first nurse told me the on-call doctor "cannot do Rx off-hours" and I have to wait a full weekend (I went to the practice Friday afternoon) to get the medicine. She hung up on me when I asked if there's anything else they could do. The second nurse plainly told me that the on-call doctor "refuse" to take my call and I needed to go to the ER if I wanted to get the Rx the same day. I asked again and she said I need to have the pharmacist call them. During all this debacle the pharmacist stayed with me and was really trying to help. She stayed beyond her regular hours just to get a hold of the on-call nurse (yeah she has to call from her work phone and go through all the phone maze again) but was again told they can't send the Rx off-hours. My son was suffering from an expanding, itchy rash from Lyme, and he could get some serious complications any minute without the medicine. THIS IS A CHILD'S HEALTH ON THE LINE AND I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND HOW ANYONE CAN BE SO INDIFFERENT AND REFUSE TO HELP. And the worst part is, it's not just one person, it's TWO NURSES AND ONE DOCTOR IN THE SAME PRACTICE. Didn't doctors swear an oath to help sick people? I get it that human beings make mistakes and it's Friday afternoon so you can forget to send Rx to the pharmacy from time to time. If anyone in that practice fixed it and I got my son's medicine I would have no complaints. But instead of making it right, they REFUSED TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES. In stark contrast, I ended up calling my son's pediatrician (also off-hours and basically it's none of their issues) the next day and they resolved it perfectly. If I could give zero stars I would. And stay away from Dermatology Physicians of CT. That's all I can say.

I decided to do the pay in full option as there is not a maximum amount of sessions. You pay the same price whether it's 8 or 12 sessions or more. I know my tattoo will take approximately 8-12 sessions and paying in full was cheaper than paying per session. Today I went for my first session. Ashley also made me feel very comfortable and explained everything step by step. I wasn't expecting to see any results after my first session and was happy to seem some slight fading even after 1 session. I am excited to continue the process!

Right off, don't bother with this company. The scam is too obvious: Charge semi-reasonable prices…read more(as compared, for example, with credentialed medical aestheticians because the use of Pico lasers is unfortunately not cheap); get people to "sign-up" for a series of treatments; then use insufficient laser power to eliminate the skin ink...so you keep extending the treatment period until you have paid triple or more what it would actually take to get the tattoo removed. I underwent a treatment and had absolutely no discernable change whatsoever to the tattoo. The laser operator was a "20-something" named Bruno. When I queried him about his training and/or credentials in the "space," his answer was "Oh, I got hired a couple of months ago and they showed me how to use the laser once and sent me to work" (by himself, completely alone in a shady-looking "office," with no medical supervision whatsoever). I'm not a dermatologist, but I am a doctor and I'm familiar with technical tools used in the clinical environment. When I asked for a mirror to watch the procedure, it was refused (citing company policy), and when I looked at the setting on the laser when Bruno was done it was on 20% power. I predict this company will be out of business within the year for their inability to show tangible results--despite their advertising pitches and so-called "before-and-after" imagining. Shame on them. Tattoo removal is expensive--but better to go to a real doctor's office that specializes in these procedures than a fly-by-night "business" like this.
