My daughter purchased me an hour message with a foot scrub for my birthday, my appointment was today, Due to bad weather & sleek roads I didn't go to work. At 9am I remembered I had a message today too, I called to try to push time back, beibg that im an hour away, I was told I would have to pay for this. It is there policy. I am not new to messages, i just can't believe this is acceptable to the public. Where i generally go, they just take the next client , and work me into there schedule. If I could give this place -5 stars I would. I had booked a 60mins full body massage with Laura, but only to end up with a 47min massage and with only shoulders and calf's being done. I am yet to understand why would they advertise "full body massage" when I asked the therapist her attitude and tone was super rude "it's a therapist preference as to where we massage" ‍ I am not rocket scientist but a full body means full body. If I wanted a half arsed job, I would of done it myself. To add insult to injury, when I finished with the massage I went to the front desk and complained but for the assistance manager to show me a bill for such a crappy services. I told her I will not be paying for such services and was happy to either for her to book me with another therapist who was happy doing a full body massage or not charge me for the session. She reluctantly gave me a 100% refund. However I did have an amazing experience with Kim who did my Facial. She was outstanding!! It is such a shame how some people give an establishment a bad reputation. I would NOT be going back there ever again and would suggest you save ur money and go elsewhere. read more

I am very disappointed, I called to book two first time appointments for me and a guest for March 2nd or 3rd. Given that it's a month away shouldn't have been a problem! WRONG the girl on the phone told me "nope nothing" to quickly before she couldn't have had a chance to even look! I asked her if she could look for the other days and seeming she was annoyed said "we book up months and months in advance" As a GM of 10 Massage Envy locations I was really shocked! It's like the girl had no intention to book us. And she was very rude to me when I asked her so questions as to why. She told me to call Austin if I had a problem with what she was saying!!! Like OMG! I would be mortified if any of my FDAs spoke Like this to any potential client!!! So sad. read more

I typically go to another Massage center in Appleton, but decided for the introductory price of $39.99 for an hour massage, i'd try Massage Envy. I had a male therapist, which was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I was ultimately ok with it. He seemed very educated when it came to the human body, he DEFINITELY liked to talk to me about his expertise. I went in wanting a relaxing massage, apparently, he typically likes to do a deep tissue massage (he told me this numerous times) his pressure was fine, all in all I cant complain about the actual massage part at all, again just speaking pressure wise. Like I said, I had told him I was there for a relaxing massage. I didn't expect him to talk to me the entire time. I should have spoke up and asked him to not talk, I will admit to that. But after repeatedly saying "I am here for quiet relaxation, I assumed he'd know what that meant. He did not. So talking and having to answer him took away from the quiet, relaxing experience I Was hoping for. After it was all said and done, again the massage itself was good... So after awhile he completed and he left the room, I thought wow, that seemed to fly by (with massages, that tends to be the case, right? ) I looked at the white board where he made a note of the time he started and then glanced at the clock and noted the time he finished. 43 MINUTES. NOT EVEN AN HOUR! I was paying 39.99 for an introduction price for what the website, mailings, menu board, and appointment time said would be one hour. 60 minutes. Not 43. At this point in time, I was just annoyed and not at all relaxed. I walked out to the front to pay, he met me up at the counter and told the reception lady "we are really not a good fit for each other, so mark down *such and such name* as her future therapist" Are you kidding me!? I felt that was an absurd thing to say. So again, being in no position (bad attitude wise) to address this in person, right then, I payed my bill. And after them attempting to upsell me on their crappy membership, and bath salts and whatever else, I left. A few days later: They sent me an online survey. I filled it out, just as I did this review. The survey apologized for my unhappy experience and asked if i'd like the manager to contact me directly. I said yes. That was nearly two months ago. Ugh, Clearly the manager is VERY busy, what with all the bath salts to sell and all. Also, as a note.. Their regular priced hour massage is $80. I will happily go back to my "normal place, massage connection on College avenue, where I will pay $60 for a FULL 60 minutes. read more

I got a membership a year ago and initially liked this place a lot but I have now found it impossible to get an appointment and today I was told I'd be charged 50% for canceling an appointment....Sorry but I'm not driving on frozen roads to get a facial. I was visiting this area and needed a massage bad!! So since I already had a membership, I decided to give this location a try. I got the prenatal massage from Ann, and she was wonderful. I fell asleep for the most part. Unlike my original location in California, the ambiance of the place was calm, desk clerks are nice, I had a pleasant experience. read more

What can I say this is simply the worst experience I have ever had dealing with massage. We are very very disappointed with the lack of professionalism that Massage Envy has presented us with as clients. We have tried Massage Envys membership over the years but it has never worked out because they cannot seem to keep there staff for very long there is a huge turnover. For sample once you find someone that you're very comfortable with that usually end up quitting for something happens that you get changed to a new person. Unexceptable!!! Recently we were scheduled for a very special couples night and when we arrived they know longer had our appointment. They've did however have I scheduled for completely different night that was not on our books. How can they run a business if they can't schedule a simple appointment? This is happen more than once in completely screwed up our calendar because we work for a living!!! No one there seems to know anything everyone seems to pass the buck to the next person that management doesn't know what's going on. In short they are simply not professional - they a huge conglomerate and have thousands of people working for them all over then and States they treat you like a number not like an individual. We are going back to a smaller salon in town which only has two massage professionals and which we speak with directly and there are no mixup sore over bookings. We like to be treated like family not like a number. I believe the owners of massage connection have a major problem with greed because they are more concerned with bringing in money then taking care of their clients. There missing the big picture here because without clients they do not have a business which I'm sure they will realize down the road. As of now there are dozens of massage therapist online offering great services and was so many new people to choose from there as simply no reason for us to go back and be treated poorly by massage Envy. Perhaps the owners need to go back and take a marketing & customer service class !!! read more

Kim was fabulous! I've never used the nationwide benefit of my membership before, but I'm so glad I did! The only thing that prevented 5 stars was the level of hard sell they gave the friend who came with me. Nobody wants to be pressured to sign up for a membership after having a great massage. I have a membership at Massage envy for neck and shoulder pain due to a recent neck surgery. I opted for massage therapy instead of narcotics. Needless to say, the services I've received have been absolutely dynamite! All of the employees I've dealt with are of high integrity. They have all made me feel totally comfortable, and nothing was ever invasive. The staff up front have been equally fantastic. I've recommended others to Massage Envy, and they have all joined with the same satisfaction and rave reviews. I was given a gift card to this place, so I booked an appointment and used it recently. Having had a LOT of massages in the Fox Valley, and a fair number of facials, I do have something to compare against. The place is nice...larger in the back than it appears from the garden variety store front, and very comfortable. Services received were adequate, but nothing special...staff seemed incredibly young, which isn't a bad thing, but there does seem to be a bit of "breaking in the new grads" of a feel to the place. Also, the "membership" pitch feels a bit scam-y. Every time I expressed a bit of hesitancy to sign up, the receptionist had yet another way to save money...waiving this or that fee that wasn't mentioned earlier. So..bottom line, it's a nice place. I enjoyed my services but didn't feel as if they were anything special. The introductory price is nice, but the "non-member" price is more than they're worth,I think. Membership doesn't sound like that good a deal....$59/month includes 1 massage or for an additional $10, one facial per month. More than that need to be purchased at the member rate. For me, I'd rather choose when and where to spend my spa dollars each month. read more
