If you are a man and work out (or use your muscles for anything), you should schedule an appointment. Alainna has a tremendous understanding of the human body and uses that knowledge to relieve tension. She has helped me loosen up tight muscles, which in turns helps me perform better at pretty much everything I do. If you are looking for a deep tissue, therapeutic type massage, you can stop your search. Alainna is the last person you will need to 'try'. She is great!! Follow up.... I took my daughter to see Alainna. She dances at CPYB, and was looking for supplemental work to aide with her ballet. Alainna was great with her (it was her first massage). We are looking forward to the impact in her dancing!!

Okay, I have been a patron of Mending Roots since March, and as of today I have had a massage and…read moreinteracted with every person who works there. Each massage I've had has been unique and completely what I needed at that time. The massage therapists there really work off intuition and you're not going to get the same session from each practitioner. One of the therapists is also a nutritionist with an holistic approach and another is also a life coach! Lovely, lovely experience each visit. I've also taken a yoga class there from Zoe. She does free yoga once a month so I felt like it was a really good opportunity to get in and try out the space. There are other instructors there (and please forgive me, I'm a little ignorant when it comes to types/styles of yoga) who teach/guide classes where you memorize the flow and they are there to assist you further into a pose or help you get into a handstand, whatever. I have ONLY OBSERVED these classes, I am not that advanced yet. When Bobbi Misti comes back in May 2018, I may try to take on the class! They also have a great gift/salve/tincture/essential oil boutique. I seriously think this is a hidden gem for gift shopping. I think everything they have is locally made, so that's pretty cool that they're supporting other local businesses in their business. IN CLOSING.....I highly recommend the ladies and gentleman who provide classes and services here. It truly is a loving, safe space and it's a little escape every time I go in there.

Also it was my first appointment when I booked I got no less then 15 texts and emails and j filled them out it was very confusing. Was told to arrive on time unless I needed to fill out forms I show up on time and show them the forms on my phone they don't have them. They deduct the time from my massage. Not a way to win new clients. My woman massage was in the hall way (seen her on my way to bathroom) seemingly very anxious talking to herself while she prepared (so she wasn't ready when i arrived anyway) she left me for an extended time to undress, asked for water she forgot, you won't get a full hour here no matter what as they deduct the time for them to get ready. Had an injury she worked on that area but was a little to harsh with moving it expecting me to be able to move it as normal. Check out was all about rebooking me even when I said I needed to see if it had even been helpful and then to pressuring me to use a male there. Wasn't thrilled, won't be back, never tell someone they need to move past a value they have

Michael was fantastic, had a great demeanor, and not only gave me the massage I needed but even helped me with a few active stretches which was the icing on the cake. We settled on a date and time and he told me I could print out the questionnaire on the website and bring it with me or to just be there about 10 minutes early and he'd have it there. This place is very easy to find right off Progress Avenue approximately a mile off of I-81. When I walked in--it looked like a Dr. office. It is very clean and I was greeted immediately upon arrival. it's not your "typical spa" where you walk in to the smell of lavender and are whisked away to a dressing room, where you are handed a plush robe and "slippers" and given some kind of fancy flavored water and time to spend in a sauna before your massage. It's more of a professional Dr. office type vibe. However, is it probably one of the best massages you will ever have!! Read on :) Michael took me into one of the rooms and explained reflexology. Very interesting! All I had to do it take off my shoes/socks and roll my pants up to my knees, lay on the comfy massage table and he'd do the rest. Thankfully, I don't have any areas of chronic pain or issues, but if you do--he is very adaptable to your needs. The reflexology massage mostly is inclusive to your feet. There is a little bit of hand massage as well. It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it. Michael is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about massage. He's been in the business for a very long time. He has an amazing, contagious, fun personality. I had a great time chatting with him! I will definitely return!!

I had my first reiki session (ever) with Denise at Reiki by Rickie a few weeks ago…read more To begin, the space was a bit unexpected. You have to enter a corporate office building and go into the basement to find the studio. But once you're inside, the area is warm and welcoming. Denise gave me an overall good experience. She's an intuitive reiki practitioner, so she shared some insights on my energy and images that she channeled during the session. We talked about this a bit afterward, which was helpful and interesting. The session itself seemed good. (It was my first reiki ever so I don't have a comparison.) Denise explained to me everything that would happen and made sure I was comfortable at various points. I left feeling relaxed and comfortable. There were a few snags, like a confusion with the appointment time after a rescheduled and challenges with the credit card reader, that took me out of a relaxed state of being. But I think this is uncommon. Overall, I had a positive experience and would tell others to give it a Reiki by Rickie a shot if they're curious about it.
