As a connoisseur of massages (being an endurance athlete who also enjoys lifting), I was thrilled…read morewith the massage I received. Michael was fantastic, had a great demeanor, and not only gave me the massage I needed but even helped me with a few active stretches which was the icing on the cake. This isn't your boujie spa experience but the massage quality beats a spa any day. I will be back when I am back in town.

I'm fairly new to the Harrisburg area so I've been using Groupons to experience more for less $! I…read morebought one reflexology session, as I've never had this kind of massage before so I thought I'd try it out. I called to make my appointment and Michael was very friendly and accommodating. We settled on a date and time and he told me I could print out the questionnaire on the website and bring it with me or to just be there about 10 minutes early and he'd have it there. This place is very easy to find right off Progress Avenue approximately a mile off of I-81. When I walked in--it looked like a Dr. office. It is very clean and I was greeted immediately upon arrival. it's not your "typical spa" where you walk in to the smell of lavender and are whisked away to a dressing room, where you are handed a plush robe and "slippers" and given some kind of fancy flavored water and time to spend in a sauna before your massage. It's more of a professional Dr. office type vibe. However, is it probably one of the best massages you will ever have!! Read on :) Michael took me into one of the rooms and explained reflexology. Very interesting! All I had to do it take off my shoes/socks and roll my pants up to my knees, lay on the comfy massage table and he'd do the rest. Thankfully, I don't have any areas of chronic pain or issues, but if you do--he is very adaptable to your needs. The reflexology massage mostly is inclusive to your feet. There is a little bit of hand massage as well. It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it. Michael is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about massage. He's been in the business for a very long time. He has an amazing, contagious, fun personality. I had a great time chatting with him! I will definitely return!!

Outstanding! I was passing through from VA to NY and sore as…read moreheck, in serious need of a solid massage. My specific search was for a good Chinese massage place as I used to frequent two different places when I lived in Philly and they always gave good, deep massages. NO, I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO GIVE ME A HAND JOB....so, if your looking for THAT review please move on and check your moral values. Another factor in my search is that I have a handful of fancy massage places in the town I live in and there is a massage school to boot......but...I usually find the places back home to be a bit pretentious and they never seem to dig hard enough into my muscles and nerves (maybe I haven't found the right place). Anyway... I am not familiar with Harrisburg so I spent some time researching massage shops/spas and it seems that there are many options for a good (4star+) massage place. I ended up choosing Angel Spa as they had more than 40 reviews and high ratings. I booked with them but they overbooked. The woman that runs the shop was super cool and thoughtful and suggested I move my appointment to their second location, Comfy Massage. I'm happy that it was moved. My massage was thorough, the masseuse adjusted pressure appropriately for different muscle groups, bones and nerves. She was very conscious of whether or not she was hurting me because she was digging, hard. I loved it and I feel fantastic. The rooms were clean, fresh and orderly. All of the furniture was nice, good soothing vibe. Next time I am passing through I will bring my wife, she will love this place too. Hope my review was helpful.

I really like this place. The deep tissue here is the best in the city. Ignore Kim's review. It…read moresounds like she had a Thai massage, or similar (Chinese, Vietnamese combination). Straddling the customer and "cracking" bones is normal for massages in different cultures. I have had different kinds of massages in different places in the US and the world. I didn't rate this establishment a five because I don't find them to be consistent. With some tweaking, they would be a five. The website says they are new owners, therefore, I'd like to provide some feedback as a customer who wants to keep coming back. In fact, I wanted to come every two weeks but when I requested a specific person they pushed to just get me in. I went back requesting the same person again and I asked if she was there. They said yes and took me back. I got ready, undressed, and it was not her. I felt conned. They lost two customers every two-weeks (me and my husband.) The therapist they gave me was atrocious. After several months I decided to give it another go. The new therapist was fantastic and there are two I would like to keep going back to. However, my full body, one hour massage, consisted of my backside only, no arms, no feet. In the past, they may include the top of my legs, my feet. This time I wasn't even asked to rollover. If there isn't going to be consistency with each therapist, then provide a description of what the massage will include, or not. A full body massage usually means both sides of the body, i.e., arms, legs, head, feet, neck. A good therapist won't spend 40 minutes on the back. That has been the one consistency at this spa. Too much time on the back. With some tweaking for the hour massage, please provide what the "full-body" massage includes. This spa could be the best in the city if operated with a desire to want the customer to return. I feel the therapists want me to come back, but the owners just want you to come in and make a quick buck. A resort spa wants you to come in and feel relaxed, but if you feel conned from the get-go that's not relaxing. If you don't focus on making a quick buck, the customers will return and you'll be more successful. It's a basic business model for success.
