She is a kind spirit and genuine woman. There is definitely a difference in pressure when upgrading from basic relaxation massage with hot stones to deep tissue. If you have a specific ache/pain or just prefer deep tissue it's worth the extra cost but just for relaxation and overall wellbeing the standard massage is perfect. Parking is easy, studio is small and humble with just a waiting room and one or two rooms and tiny kitchenette.

My wife gifted me a lovely Groupon to try Sandra's and I scheduled for this past weekend. The practice is well laid out. You walk in to a waiting area that has some relaxing music playing. When it was my time to get massaged, I walked into a large room with a massage table in the middle. The dim lights are perfect, the music and nature sounds are relaxing, and I think there are some essential oils/humidifier action going. The massage itself was relaxing and not hard. This would be the perfect massage for someone under stress or who wants to try a massage for the first time. The heat from the stones was never uncomfortable and the oils used made my skin feel wonderful. I enjoyed it all but I really like the feet rub since I have been running a lot. All in all, it was a nice experience.

On the way, I was reading the reviews and was kind of skeptical considering all of the naysayers in the comments. My husband said we should still go. And guess what, I'm glad he did. The customer service was good. The front desk lady greeted us with a smile each time we asked her anything. At the beginning of the massage, they advised us of which items to keep on and which to take off. The masseuse was good. He confirmed the pressure to use and asked a few times while massaging if I was ok. He adjusted my underwear to ensure no oil went towards it and they clip my hair up to avoid oil. Overall, my massage was good. My husband fell asleep during his so you know it was a good one, lol They did ask us to pay and tip upfront if we wanted to. We were not pressured to tip. I would consider going back if I wasn't a visitor!

The massage went well. She pushed out a lot if my knots. She even got up on the table to properly massage. Her stomach was definitely upset, I could hear the rumbling of her tummy . It was a great massage with the exception of a male and female on two seperate occasions in two seperate rooms "Woooo! That feels good!". That woman let her alarm on her phone hi off for 20 minutes ringing. The stations don't have ceilings. When I was time to open my eyes, the 30 minutes was completed. My back felt different. I had severe knots in my shoulders and neck and was desperate for a therapist but didn't know where to go too. Luckily my coworker recommended me to go to Massage in Session and it was conveniently located to Avondale. Now I am very picky about my therapist but was so relieved when my first session was completed. Crystal took out some of my knots (I already made my next appointment) and know it will take several sessions to get them completely out. What I didn't realize was how truly messed up I was. My thighs were tight, my one hip locked up and she was able to pop it back in place. Even with yoga and stretching that one hip has been a problem. She literally healed me. I'm excited and look forward to my next appointment and to complete healing. I am very fortunate to have really amazing insurance that covers the cost and I just have to pay the copay. I truly believe in massage therapy and that it's one of the things that people should incorporate in their well being. Unfortunately many people feel that getting a massage is a luxury and not an essential part of staying fit. If you're able to get insurance to cover some of the cots, I can guarantee monthly massages will get rid of the majority of health issues you encounter. And hopefully you don't wait until the pain is too severe. And if you're looking for a professional massage therapist in Riverside/Avondale area, you found your place.
