To give a thorough review, I have to explain some of my history…read more I have a lot of pain from two different car accidents that happened within a couple of months of each other, over 20 years ago. I also have fibromyalgia and am a breast cancer survivor. My lower and mid back, hips, and shoulder blades are in a constant hum of pain. I also have a lot of fascia adhesions due to breast cancer surgeries. I felt that my body was broken and being pain free wasn't an option for me. I've been to many massage "therapists" to no avail. I went to see Amber at a suggestion from a friend. Amber greeted me warmly and professionally. Her therapy is in her home- which is clean and inviting. Her therapy room is private and cozy. Amber went over my history right before we started the first massage. She listened to my pain and trauma history and later followed up with feeling it with her hands. She told me several times when a certain spot wasn't quite right and sure enough, it was a tender spot for me. It was insane how she was able to find the exact spots that needed the most work without me having to direct her to those spots. I add on the hot Himalayan salt stones and the cbd oil to all of my massage sessions. I highly recommend those two things. I spend two hours in a lot of pain- at Amber's hands. But those hands of hers have made healing happen in my body. She coaches me through the pain and stops every time I need a break. She has been able to get rid of the persistent butt/hip pain I had for over a year and a half. It affected the way I walked and slept. I nearly cried because it had been so long since I could walk without hip pain!! I have continued to see Amber and yes, the type of massages I get from her is to release the adhesions and trauma built into my body so it hurts during the massage, but in the following days, my body has less pain, more range of motion, and the best thing of all, I have HOPE again that my body can heal with continued work with Amber. I have never, ever thanked someone so much to put me in a world of hurt that later yields less pain. I should add, the world of hurt she puts me through? It's not because she is rough or going too hard! In some areas of my body, a concentrated light pressure makes me writhe in pain because the adhesions I have are awful. But after the adhesions are broken up, it's less painful. Over more time, I expect it to dissipate. Amber is a MIRACLE WORKER! Lastly, I have not met any other therapist like Amber. She truly cares for her clients. When I told her I was finally pain free and able to walk normally again, she teared up. She cares about my healing and journey to being pain free. She has a lot of compassion along with her tremendous amount of knowledge for the modalities of therapies she employs. I love that she also continues to learn and expand her knowledge base to help me and her other clients. I shout her praises to anyone that will listen and I will not be changing therapists anytime soon because she is THAT GOOD. I look forward to each and every massage therapy session because I know it only helps heal my body. I can't thank Amber enough.
