I reached out to Mia on a whim after using a walker at work for three days and figured I should just try really hard to get this hip to heal. I know that we are waiting for the muscle to release and I had tried all the things. Ice, heat, CBD, pain pills, muscle relaxers, all of the above. Then I talked to Mia, and she got me in the next morning after texting her at 8pm that night. I was late, because I am always late and with this hip pain it seemed like I had been behind for forever. But she was understanding about it and that was refreshing. You walk into her studio and it smells good. There is a rich ambiance of relaxation with the salt lamps and the music and the smell of healing energy. She walked me through everything, had me point out where my pain was and deliberately focused on my trouble areas. However she warmed all my muscles and body first, did an overall massage and then focused on my hips. He described it as feeling rushed and sloppy, like being run through a car wash. My massage started off okay, with the masseuse being somewhat communicative, but it quickly became lackluster. To make matters worse, halfway through the session, I was swapped to a completely different masseuse without any explanation, which left me feeling confused and uncomfortable. At checkout, I informed them I'd be paying with a card and used Apple Pay. Despite this, after the payment was processed and I tipped $20 per masseuse, they pointed to a sign about a 3% card fee and tried to adjust the total.
