This is an older office building on busy North Ave., but Bobbie keeps her space clean and cozy so it works out for me just fine. I don't consistently get massages due to my work schedule and family obligations, but Bobbie is one of the best I have had! Her approaches are intuitive when it comes to problem areas. Her hot stone massages are fantastic, even for hot summer months. She also does facials and I did enjoy the vitamin C facial when I booked for the massage+facial combo in the past. Bobbie is also super friendly and personable. In addition, her prices are affordable for the quality of service I get. Good thing is that I don't live awfully too far and I get her availability emails and occasionally she has promotions and specials. With that said, booking on her website has never been a problem. After reading the reviews of others, I decided book an appointment for a massage and facial with Bobbie instead. Both services were phenomenal. Bobbie is gifted beyond belief. My knots were eased out using the perfect amount of pressure. I could not believe it did not hurt. It usually does. As for the facial, it was pretty amazing too. My face was glowing once we were done and it looked and felt great too. Bobbie's space is intimate, dimly lit and welcoming. The music played during my appointment was very relaxing and soothing. I had a lingering shoulder injury from moving some furniture, so I went to Bobbie to see if she could help. She spent about 45 of the 60 minutes on my shoulder, which I really appreciated. To be honest, it was not enjoyable, AT ALL. She found knots and spots that I didn't even know were in there! She apologized for the pain of the work, though, and assured me that it would help my shoulder heal faster. What do you know, she was right! The day after my massage, my shoulder felt better than it had in weeks. And a few days later, it felt totally back to normal!! This was after a month of constant pain and discomfort that never let up. Bobbie really performed a miracle, and I will definitely be going back to her for a more relaxing massage, now that I'm injury free. Lastly, I'll echo what other people said about the location: please don't let the apartment setting throw you. I, too, was a little worried when I pulled up. I thought, "Maybe she's running some kind of scam where her boyfriend jumps out of the closet once I'm on the table and mugs me!" I am so glad I went on Yelp and found Bobbie. I have been to her twice and both times got a 60 min head to toe restoration massage - it included hot stones, deep tissue massage all over, face and scalp massage, and some aromatherapy at the end during the face massage. I tell her to focus on my neck and upper back because as a student, I spend most of my day hunched over a desk studying. I feel a million times better after her massages. The massages are thoroughly relaxing, clearly relieve my stress and loosen my muscles. I plan to return to her soon and would not even think of going to anyone else to get a massage! Superlative and a lot of excellent adjectives really gets to the heart of the quality of Bobbie's massage. A previous reviewer said they would go weekly if they could (I wholeheartedly agree!!) I wish I could go monthly but it seems a bit too extravagant so I will suffer through going once or twice a year! A perfect birthday gift to treat yourself or someone else... Appointments are super easy to make online and about the only "strain" (not really) is to find the right building entrance and then walk up 2 (3?) flights of stairs...Bobbie, was waiting with the door and nicely called down when I came in for my first ever visit to come all the way up and was waiting for me at the door. A short basic intake form to fill out and then the marvelous magic begins... I felt super relaxed and enjoyed every minute from coming in the door to leaving...However, the best was the super relaxed feeling after that does not go away for a few hours... I highly recommend Bobbie to everyone! P.S. Yes, like everyone else that the business is in a small apartment is different but I am sure that keeps costs down and the proximity and ease otherwise cannot be beat! P.P.S. Watch out for the street parking. It should not be too difficult because the permit parking signs all over seem to only apply for overnight stays (from 10 PM - 6 AM) so no one should ever have to worry about this but do look out for the handicapped parking areas/signs which are of course a very different story... read more

Bobbie is amazing, I seriously had one of the best massages of my life here. Everything about my experience was fantastic. I was a little nervous about going to an in-home massage situation but it was absolutely nothing to be nervous about and was every bit as relaxing as going to a spa. My husband got me a gift certificate for Massage by Bobbie as I really love massages. I was surprised at the location at first because he normally gets me spa gift cards, but he said she had really good reviews and I should try her out... It was one of the best gifts EVER! Bobbie is probably the best masseuse I have ever had. She has really strong hands and seems to work out all the knots in my back with such ease. There's a warm biomat under the sheets on the table, so even before the massage starts, you feel like you're relaxing and melting into the table! The amazing part is really the next day, though. You feel like a completely different person walking around without all the stress in your body that you became accustomed to before you saw Bobbie. Bobbie has such an inviting personality and her studio was even better than the set up that you would have at most spas - since the actual massage "room" was so spacious (unlike the small rooms that can only fit a table that you find at most spas). I scheduled a massage for me and my husband. She did a fantastic job. I have lots of knots and while she didn't show mercy in working them out, she was still "gentle". The music playing was really nice and she offers you a water, room temp or cold, afterwards. We will both return. She does work out of her apt which is small so we couldn't wait at her apt for each other but it was no problem because turns out we live across the street. Yesterday I desperately needed a massage and after researching Yelp for Oak Park massages, I connected with Bobbie. She was able to fit me in within an hour and a half... The setting was very clean and relaxing. She made me feel very comfortable.
