Eveline is gifted at healing. She has the magic touch. My whole family loves her. My husband and I, the children, Grandma and Grand aunt have had sessions with her and look forward to seeing her whenever we can. It is a special treat to have Eveline over to take care of the whole family. I rarely leave reviews because I feel that different people interact differently with each other. However, I've gotten massages from Evelyn and it was always professional and left me feeling physically better than when I started. The first time we chatted, so that she could determine if there were any special requirements or pre-existing conditions which she would need to take into consideration. I did not feel that she was being intrusive, but being professional. After the chat, she gave me a wonderful massage which was tailored to me and not to everyone. I appreciated that. Wow I wish there were more stars. I went to Ms. Evelyn for a massage for lower back pain. It was close to home so I wanted to take a chance. So impressed with the whole set up, working out of her home and such a comfortable feeling. Very relaxing, one on one, and not lots of hustle and bustle with other people waiting and talking. My husband was experiencing back pain and discomfort for over a week and in my attempt to help him released some pain I decided to YELP for a message therapist. Luckily I ran into Gentle Giant Massage booked an appointment and Evelin took us in one day after. Right from the start Evelin was very welcoming, my husband said she was able to find every spot in his back that was causing him pain. I need a gentle touch but Evelin scoped me out with her knowledge and gifted intuition and knew just how to treat me. I thought I was the only one who felt the whole place and experience was just "off". I cannot even tell you how many times during my 90 minutes that I thought to myself, "Is this woman even licensed??" It was a VERY VERY uncomfortable setting. I'm not one to chit-chat during a massage. I'm a mom - I'm here to RELAX. The last time I had a massage was OVER a year ago - can you please just rub my shoulders and STOP TALKING? I don't care about your 3 questions or who on the WGN news panel is aggressive or assertive or what the f their personalities are like or why I think I was hired for my job. WHAT?!? I'm not here to THINK but now my mind is on overdrive because of the weird constant conversation. I wasn't sure if I should keep my eyes open because of the bizarre conversations that she INSISTED on having or because I needed to be aware of my surroundings. I'm all for supporting a home business and that's not it, but the "waiting room" was the living room which you had to change out in the open. Followed by a few curtains and the massage table in the living room followed by a restroom off of the kitchen. It was just WEIRD. The whole thing was WEIRD and there was nothing relaxing or comforting about any of it. She asked if I needed to use the restroom and I indicated that I had and she made a comment about "...oh you Americans are all the same with using the washroom before..." Um....okay? Save your $42 for another Groupon and perhaps try someone else. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I went to get a massage from her about a year ago! I booked a hour massage from Groupon and it was the biggest waste of money ever! The worst experience and the creepiest. She wouldn't stop talking and I felt uncomfortable the whole entire time! She made me answer three questions to get to know me but they were the weirdest questions. She touched my butt and wiggled it around while giggling. I would never go back. If you are a young-ish girl I wouldn't recommend coming here. I felt scared and just so uncomfortable. I asked for a relaxing massage on my neck, shoulders and low back and got the complete opposite. She gave me DEEP tissue massage which was not what I wanted at all. Even after I told her I didn't want that she still continued, it was very painful. Not a relaxing massage or place to go to. read more

I have been a massage therapist since the early 90's and I've received my fair share of pretty amazing massages (and some not so great) and I must say this really was one of the best. It started with a brief conversation covering pertinent health history, likes/dislikes and expectations. Eveline used just enough pressure to be very effective without it being painful. I felt wonderful after the massage, albeit a little slow moving. Additionally, she has such a beautiful and relaxing space that not only was it welcoming, but easy to be in after the massage-much better than the busy, noisy salon. I had a very unsettling experience with this woman. I went to her because she had great reviews, but my experience was awful. It actually ended in me running out of her house. I felt rather uncomfortable from the moment I came in because rather than beginning the massage (should have been 90 minutes swedish massage), she spent about 20 minutes just chit chatting with me. When she finally began the massage, rather than working on my very tense shoulders as I requested multiple times, she simply lightly stroked and rotated my leg for about 40 minutes. She was very insistent that I trust her to the point of making me really uncomfortable. She actually "said " she was going to begin the massage about an hr into my time, but then she began making such strange statements that I ended the session and left. Comments included: "what if I bought you a month's worth of thai food?" "I'm going to be a bloody princess for halloween... my cute little friend is going to be the wolf" and "you're going to go bye bye (meaning sleep)". At that last comment, my heart started beating so fast- i followed my gut and got out of there. She then texted me "nice to meet you" after I fled from her home a half hour before my session ended and got no massage. Not sure what was going on with her, maybe she was planning to harm me, maybe she was just socially weird or a little off, but I felt super uncomfortable and did not get my money's worth at all. Not sure where these 5 star reviews are coming from, but my experience was horrible. read more

Everything was wonderful with my massage. The owner, Evelin really took her time understanding what my aches and pains were and has really helped me. I am hunched over a computer all day long so my back is constantly in knots and my wrists have a tendency to go numb. After I go for a massage I always feel 100 times better.
