I had a very pleasant experience with SS office in Worcester…read more I actually had two appointments set up for the same day, one for a new card because my card had in correct name and one to sign up for Medicare. I had to go home and get my marriage certificate from my 1st appt but was able to complete both tasks when I arrived for my 2nd appt with Ms. Lebron who was very helpful, pleasant and experienced. I wish I had the name of the first rep who helped me with my card because she also was very helpful.

1st I want to aknowledge that I am fully aware that writing this review does absolutely nothing…read morebecause they don;t care at all . No one cares that they are rude and unhelpful. I received a call from someone there because someone retrieving my records realized i had three names. My maiden, Married, Divorced and then remarried they couldnt figure out that the three names were the same person. So this person made me an appointment and told me to make sure to tell them I DO need to provide them with divorce , marriage and my ID . I had recent surgery and I was not able to go to my appointment. after calling to reschedule and waiting 45 min to get a person she said Social security office can you hold. and then continued to put me on hold but it hung up. Went through this twice . finally got someone to reschedule who told me I don't need an appointment and I had to argue with him to just get an appointment. So I go there WITH an appointment still waited 45 min. My mother was with me who wanted to ask them questions because she has been trying to make an account and we have not been able to make one no matter what we did. So SS gave my mother a phone number to call. So you cant get a person with that number she gave me it just tells you what to do which we did all that but needed help. Nope they are useless there . Prior We put her phone number and all the needed info but when it came to verify it said they couldn't match the number . ok I put all the information in correctly but it couldn't match. Tried to make the appt to go to post office to verify identity but kept saying they couldn't find the information . even though mind you it had already sent 2 texts to her phone. I called to see if someone there could help. waited 30 min before someone finally picked up and he kept telling me to " follow the directions online" i kept saying that's why I'm calling because its not working and going in circles on line. HE HUNG UP ON ME. I called a second time to make appointment for her to go down there because doing online over and over and trying to make account was just a circle of frustration . and HE answered again i asked to make appointment and he said she don't need appointment and to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS online I tried to explain that its not working its a big circle not able to do it. and he very rudely said you just have to go online and follow the directions and HUNG UP ON MY AGAIN. Seriously? my elderly mother is trying to just make an online account and I ended up getting hung up on. So I called back to get his name because he needs to be reported, and sure enough he answered again and i asked for his name and HE HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN. this person needs to be reported but who would I call that would actually give a shit???? Needless to say my mother will be trucking down there tomrw to sit there for an hour for them to not help her. and she wont be getting an online account because I know they wont be able to help her with this but she is so frustrated she said she will just go down there. This place is a total total shit show . I understand they are busy. I don't care I worked in an ER for almost 20 years I know what its like to have a busy busy shift and I was NEVER rude to ANYONE in all the years working there I wouldn't go out of my way to help someone who was yelling at me or whatever but never would I be rude . I also worked in a medical call center so delt with rude people daily and still I was NEVER EVER rude to ANYONE. He needs to find another job this one is not for him. This whole place needs a class on customer service. Except the security at the door. They were nice as hell

People running through the streets screaming, someone on a megaphone yelling for hours, music blaring, a huge light show that it shining into all of our windows. So far they have sent two cars that have driven by and done nothing. I called back and asked why the officers did nothing and the dispatcher became violent, saying "music isn't important. Stop calling us". This is a neighborhood filled with retired first responders. The current ones clearly have no respect for the ones who paved the way for them. My question is, why am I forced to pay these IDIOTS salaries via my taxes when they don't even do their JOB, which is to respond and cater to the public. Hence, "public servant". If you don't like your job, QUIT. Losers!

I visited this station for it's historical significance. Although not the original station (built…read morein 1875 ) in town, this building was completed in 1911 for the Boston & Albany Railroad. At it's peak, 140 trains were making there way through this station, daily. Over the years it has served a variety of railroads and switched hands multiple times. As routes were moved away from Worcester, ridership decreased and in 1972 Amtrak boarded up the building and began to use a much smaller brick building nearby as it's station. By 1992 a group of locals began efforts to rehab the old station to it's original beauty. After several years of effort and planning, during which the building was purchased by the Commonwealth of MA, the building finally began restoration and in 2000 the building reopened to railway passengers. A small part of the station is set aside for rail passengers. Here you'll find a map of commuter rails and a MBTA ticket kiosk. There is no Amtrak customer service available here. You can purchase Amtrak tickets originating at this station through their web site. There is a small waiting area, a Worcester public library book vending machine, a police substation and a QR code that will link you to a walking tour of the Blackstone canal area. There is an elevator up to the platform level and ramps down to the bus level. Three vending machines are available for snacks and beverages. Public restrooms are older but clean enough as public restrooms go. The main part of the building is a beautiful vaulted hall that can be rented out for private events. This area is closed off during event and open to the public when not in use. There are also two dining areas off this main hall and a parking garage next door. The official website has information about renting the event space. Another example of the beautiful historic architecture you will find in this historic city.

About 20 years ago they decided to remodel it and spent millions of dollars to renovate it and bring it back to its glory. Every time we would drive by I wondered what it looked like inside and think that I needed to check it out someday. So a few days ago as we drove by my husband said "do you want to stop and check out Union Station?" YES!!!! There is a parking garage directly behind it with easy access into the station. The station is HUGE (well, not as big as the NYC!) and we walked throughout checking everything out. The station was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon and everything was closed (restaurants, coffee shop, police station etc), there was just a handful of people either waiting on a train or bus. The architecture was absolutely beautiful as most buildings built in this era were. I have no idea how well the ticketing and schedules work, but it is definitely a beautiful building worth checking out.
