I resisted some more since I'm self sufficient, but in all honesty, I was tired of not being able to follow a conversation, missing a word and having no clue what was going on and living in a partially silent world.. so I made the appointment and went. The entire staff was excellent, from the entire office staff, to Dr Freedman who I saw first to make sure my ears were healthy and that hearing aids would help me, then after that I met with the audiologist, Joseph Weisberger who was awesome.. I have really bad anxiety and he was very nice and patient, gave me the hearing test and the bad news that yes.. I definitely needed hearing aids, but the choices now are so much better than they were when I was 10 and got them for the first time and refused to wear them so my parents returned them.. this time I made the attempt to get used to them, and was finally able to hear in formerly silent world. I had several visits to adjust hearing aids, but it only took me a few days to get used to them.. 2 weeks ago I had to go back after dropping one. I figured it would either be an easy fix or I'd need new ones.. thankfully for me, it was an easy fix. After getting the repair done, Joseph again took the time to make sure I was happy with the level of hearing and I actually left there feeling like I'd gotten new hearing aids and can even hear the rain on the roof right now.. I would recommend this office and the Middletown office to anyone.. beyond excellent service and staff!

They quality seemed very good and the convenience features were surprisingly comprehensive. I returned them only because the didn't work for me. I don't believe it is the fault of the hearing aids, just that I am not compatible with these particular hearing devices. Quite possibly, she could have provided hearin aids that would work for me. Unfortunately, my insurance only covers 2 of the models she carries. Any other devices would have been full price without any insurance coverage. My financial situation would not allow this. Secondly, when I asked to return them, she remained just as nice and friendly as when I was first a potential customer. The purchase price was promptly refunded and in full. My father, who is 95, has severe hearing loss and has been seeing Paul Dole at Flynn Associates for many years for his hearing aids and evaluations. It had been some time since my father was in, both hearing aids were lost at a recent stay for care and it took time to gather funds for new ones. It was my first time bringing my father to his appointment and it was a pleasure to meet Paul. He's friendly and inviting and he offered for me to sit in on the appointment. I enjoyed watching him test and fit my father for the new hearing aids. The two were like old friends which I found touching. At the end of the appointment Paul asked my father if he could hear him and he said yes. Paul then said "welcome back" and my father said thanks and they both chuckled. That was one of those moments I won't forget. My father could hear again. Words I put here could never relay how significant that is for him, the family, medical people and those he meets in public. Paul recently was generous with his time when there was an issue with a part on one of the hearing aids and I was very grateful for his quick remedy of it. My father in law is a 90 year old disabled veteran who served his time in the Korean War. Back in…read moreFebruary of 2023, he walked into the Beltone store on 435D State Road in Dartmouth hopeful to find hearing aid's that might work for him. Sadly, that day, the Beltone representative successfully persuaded him into a 4 year lease agreement costing him a total of $8700 with a $700 down payment. My father in law (Larry),when weighing the cost of the hearing aids, asked the Rep if the VA would be a better option rather than paying these prohibitive costs as he is on a fixed income. Larry told his daughter that the Rep discouraged that idea and said the VA would not be able to help him. Unfortunately, on that day, he trusted the Beltone Rep and signed this horrible agreement with the hope he'll be able to hear better. The Rep told him if he has any issues, he could schedule with them to come back for any adjustments. Well, moving forward, he had been back at least 2 or 3 times to Beltone for adjustments that never worked. At one point, he was told by the representative he had a lot of wax in his ears which prevented the hearing aids from working effectively. As a result, he made an appointment with his primary doctor to check his ears. The physician did an ear check and was told he had no ear blockages from wax buildup. With $201.19 being automatically deducted from his bank account and with a total cost outlay to date of $4700, he decided to share the agreement he made with Beltone with his family. Back in October of 2024, I went to Beltone to turn in the hearing aids and to attempt to remedy the financial agreement. However, the Rep I spoke to stated that Larry had to speak to the leasing company (Allegro/Synchrony Bank) to see if he could end the agreement. The Beltone Rep reluctantly accepted the return of the hearing aids and stated we'll hold onto them, but this is to do with your father in law and the bank. So, I contacted Allegro, and the Representative there said you need to resolve with Beltone, as they were paid by the bank a lump sum and it would be up to Beltone to refund the difference to resolve the remaining owed of approximately $4000 to Allegro. To sum up, this terrible ordeal continues on and based upon the experiences my father in law has encountered, I would not recommend for anyone to do business with Beltone. They clearly took advantage of Larry for the sole purpose of making $$$$. On a side note, Larry ended up going to the VA Clinic for a thorough examination and got set up with hearing aides that work really well for him and with no out of pocket costs due to being a disabled veteran. I felt it necessary to share this story with the hope of others with elderly parents or family members with a hearing impairment to be very wary of Beltone.
