The selection of their alcohol is actually pretty impressive and the allocated pricing is fair compared to the secondary market. Every person working the counter is always friendly and helpful. If you're ever in Old Orcutt I'd recommend this business even to just stop in and grab a snack or beverage. They stock some local items which is always appreciated. The interior is pleasant and redone. When I go in at night I have witnessed a thorough cleaning of the floors inclusive of pulling wine and bottles from the rack to dust and white down. That is incredibly impressive for a small locally owned shop.

After waiting and knocking and more waiting and knocking, no response, so I asked the manager if I could use the employee bathroom, because it was URGENT. He said no, I had to wait. Ok. I waited some more, but I was about to wet my pants, and my lower back was hurting, by my kidneys. I finally asked an employee if they could unlock the customer bathroom door because whoever was in there wasn't responding to the knocks. No . Then I said I was going to call 911 since apparently somebody was passed out in the bathroom. So then she reluctantly unlocked the door and it was empty. So I guess they just don't want to open this bathroom to the public. Ok, Just be honest about it, and don't have me wait. RUDE. Cruel. So to the other customers, be warned, don't wait or ask, the manager and cashiers will lie and just hope you eventually leave. I hope the owners read this and decide to change this bizarre policy.

Their fruits and veggies are not only super fresh, and easy to find and grab, but also cheap compared to Vons. My favorite however is the amazing PanDulce they have. Not the biggest selection, but definitely fresh and great tasting!! Also, they have masa and fresh Mexican food items you wouldn't really find elsewhere like the pre-med masa base for the sopes, which are cheap and delish! Also they have some really great store-made salsas. They also have a lb of chorizo for less than $2 in their refrigerated section. I haven't t tried their meat department yet, but I will definitely have to come back to try them. So if you want quality, good prices and a small authentic Mexican grocery store, come here. We ordered Carnitas tacos, I'd say they were pretty good no scrimping on the meat w lots of onion and cilantro good salsa. We shop here every once in a while when we are in need of a more authentic Mexican product for cooking. I would recommend stopping in for some of your tacos. I doubt that the burritos are probably just as good. I think we were the first one in this morning. The young man behind the counter was friendly. It's a market with piñata wheat bread produce a meat market and lots of other supplies, soap, product and pan phone card all kinds of items. Some items may be a little more on the pricey side.
