The Vindaloo was so good. My go to is usually Korma but the didn't have a lamb korma. The medium spice level had a nice kick to it. I think I found my new Indian go to. Also the service was lovely. The waitress who took our order just started but had a great attitude and for being new she was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had my order to go but inside there is lots of seating and it's just a nice little atmosphere. My only complaint is there is a door that leads to the street so they have people entering through the restaurant to get to the mall. I don't really mind but on a cold day you are gonna really feel the breeze.

I beaten in hundreds of Indian restaurants, and many have their own distinct charm…read more I love the food and ambience at this restaurant. It's big enough to go alone, with friends or with a group of friends. The food is vibrant looking. The flavours are delicious and inviting. Tonight, I am having the Murgh Irani, and the Dal Makhani. I have had these dishes before and have never been disappointed. A Murg is a chicken dish with cashews, cream, mushrooms and black pepper. They provide a handsome portion of white meat, and the sauce is velvety rich. It is by far my favourite dish here. I have never had it h this way at any other restaurant. Dal is a staple to many, but with the addition of red kidney beans, it becomes a hearty meal all in itself. It is made with black Dal as opposed to the milder yellow dal that appears on most menus. The best part for me is that I can eat such a meal and they can make it gluten free. Please be aware to ask about the pakoras if you have celiac disease. Even though they are listed as gluten free, and are made with chickpea flour, they share a deep fryer, so are not suitable for people with Celiac Disease.

There was a decent number of diners present when we dined in on a rainy Thursday evening. What did not sit well with me was their menu pricing was different from what you were charged at the machine. This was true for the seafood combo I ordered. I went with fish which is about a dollar cheaper compared to the shrimp. When I went to pay, I noticed that I have been charged the more expensive item for their seafood combo. I brought it up with the server and she initially mentioned that it was due to tax being applied. I argued again and explained clearly that it cannot be due to the tax and that I was clearly charged the higher rate. After some more arguing and back and forth which was accentuated more due to the problem with communication from their end, she then just mentioned that the seafood combo was just priced that way with the machine. I still did not accept this reasoning but decided to pay for the higher-priced false advertising seeing that the conversation was just going nowhere.

The chicken pieces were big and generous using chicken breast meat. The spinach curry tasted amazing too. All the curries were very flavorful and when we asked it to be prepared hot in spice level it was right on. We also ordered a Lamb vindaloo a la carte. The lamb was tender and sauce was amazing. The foods were served in a serving size pan but so pretty if photos were taken. We were very happy. The mango lassi is $3.75. Also recommend the Utssv Lager Beer as it was light and very aromatic almost sweet like but very good and was $6.50. The man who was working as the server and also taking care of delivery orders was friendly and very observant. He also was very approachable and understood everything with no problems. We had a very pleasant experience with zero issues/problems. The atmosphere was simple. It's not a fancy 5 star restaurant. Chairs and tables were not fancy. Very simple. There's only about 10 tables in total. But if you don't want a fancy place then this is very nice casual restaurant atmosphere. East Indian music is playing while you are dining but it was not loud and intrusive. We would consider coming back and trying their lunch buffet sometime when we are in the area again. The photos shown on this page does not show how appetizing and delicious our supper was tonight.

We were looking to dine here, but only came out disappointed…read more My group was staying at Hamilton and wanted to try an Indian restaurant before leaving and this is what we initially selected. We set a date to eat out and checked the restaurant's operating hours: it closes 10:00 PM on Thursdays. We arrived sometime before 7:20, but was surprised when the waiter told us that they are not taking any more customers because the kitchen will be closing soon. This was a surprise because at the time there was at least one table of 2 diners presently eating still. It was also still fairly early in the night just after 7PM. Additionally, the waiter told us that we should have called the restaurant first before coming in to reserve a table. That does not make sense. As prospective diners, we did our due diligence in checking the timings of the food place. The SOP is to call in for reservations if it is a really busy restaurant, or to reserve for big groups or for special functions. For whatever reason, It was not right for the waiter to shift the alibi of not being able to serve to us.
