You bet your bottoms that I purchased one. The snacks are on the pricier side and the one I got had two price tags on there, one for $4.99 and the other was $5.99 and of course it rang up the higher price one but the cashier was really cool and gave it to us for $4.99. Their dinnerware is very limited as I was looking for wooden spoons and chopsticks but they only had the metal one. Their pots and woks are definitely not found elsewhere and I liked their selection for that. The people are really nice and don't assume that you're Korean unless you speak it first to them so that was really cool. Also, if you're feeling hungry, go to Seoul Bistro next door and fill your tummy with yummy food!

With food deserts in surrounding districts downtown alone, there are grocery spots popping up here & there, slowly but surely. There's Maple Ridge, Oasis is about to take place with their second location & now, we have CH|OP. As soon as I walk in, the store is split in two lanes. One side is more on the cold end (fridge + freezer) while the other side has dry ingredients, along with household options. I wanted to leave with something to eat & I ran across the breakfast burritos where you can choose from bacon, sausage or potato. I went with bacon & glad I did. Very subtle, smoky flavor in every bite. Sauce wasn't in the mix, which left me room to add something to it when I brought the burrito home. The coffee that's on hand was from PonyCoffee, which I'm a big big fan of. There was a Costa Rica blend that I rolled with & I was left with a good buzz. The lady who helped us out was super nice. She was helpful & welcoming with us along with a couple of other customers that were there before us. We already established that we'll be back. There were pastries, ice cream, fresh fruit, etc to choose from. It made me happy knowing that these neighborhoods are starting to have grocery spots to visit instead of going out of the way just to grab 1-2 things.

When it comes to Mediterranean food & it's my first visit, 9 times out of 10 I'm trying the Falafel. That's what I went with here with a baklava for something sweet. The falafel is HUGE. I enjoyed the tahini sauce (I might mess around & ask for extra next time). Plenty of pickles in every bite. I splashed some hot sauce here & there to take it up a notch. I'd order it again. The baklava was good & had a distinctive taste. It didn't taste like the baklavas I'm used to (not in a bad way). It might've been as certain spice or the type of honey/syrup they used. It was a good way to cap off my meal. The place was busy! I ended up eating outdoors, surprisingly, it was well shaded. The menu is massive, there's plenty to choose from.
