All the reviews on their website are from the Administration to make them look good. The residents' care is taken care of when they are good and ready. The staff should be ashamed of the disgusting work they do. His urine bottle sits right next to his food tray all day, every day. It just sits there all day and is only emptied when I or an administrator tells them to. When my husband needs to use the bathroom, he rings his button for assistance or does anything that needs attention; be prepared to wait and then wait some more. What I find the most offensive is that I (his wife) must tell them his care requirements. A perfect example is that Mont Marie nurses, CNAs, and Aides will put him in a wheelchair with NO leg raises or footrests and leave him there most of the day. I had to tell them that his swollen legs needed to be raised. When in bed, I had to ask them to put a pillow under his feet and raise the bed's foot end, finding out that the bed doesn't raise at the foot. WHY AREN'T THEY DOING THIS WITHOUT ME HAVING TO TELL THEM? The food is disgusting and always cold. An example of breakfast is two 1/2 pieces of cold, dry toast, cold oatmeal with nothing added, 2 Tablespoons of instant eggs, and cold coffee with one creamer. They should be ashamed of themselves to serve this to the residents. Their food tray is whisked away with nothing else until the next meal. Bring your own snacks and food to serve your loved ones because nothing will be given to them until the following meal or day. They do give my husband a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on occasion; however, he has diabetes and is not supposed to have sugar. Mont Marie has not showered my husband or brushed his teeth in the 22 days of his stay. He has been sick since he arrived on Christmas Day. COVID, Norovirus/Vomiting, Diarrhea, with his legs swelling three sizes before he was sent there. Physical Therapy was non-existent until I demanded he get it. If my husband said he was tired, that was it. They brought him back to his room. Some of the staff acted appropriately, but there were the nurses I had to interact more with so appropriate nursing could occur. One particular nurse was insulting when I had and asked questions. It would take too long to explain what happened on December 29, 2024, when my husband needed a VA doctor's appointment. It's a day I want to erase from my mind. Sadly, it is seared into my brain presently. This review is only some of the examples of the horrible care my husband is receiving. I would need a book to explain everything. There was one nurse who worked in the physical therapy room. He is worth his weight in gold. His name is Gary, a retired veteran who helped me on December 29, 2024, with getting my husband into the car so he could get to the VA appointment. Even though it wasn't on his scheduled day, he did help and got him into the car on an icy, windy, windy day. There was NO SANDING OF THE SIDEWALKS. If it weren't for him, I would have never been able to take him to the VA appointment. When the Nuns of Mont Marie were in charge, Mont Marie had an excellent reputation. The building is now on their third owners who are letting the property go to ruins. It took two weeks to get the broken window in his room repaired during December 2024, with a temperature of 22 degrees and a wind chill of 12 degrees. UNACCEPTABLE! The patient was loud obnoxious and not letting the staff and owner help her. I am absolutely amazed at how calmly the staff was and the owner to talk this patient down and have her continue with her visit. This was a first for me. The office is very spacious, clean, with private rooms and many different types of equipment that I only took pictures of because I myself have never used them. The staff is extremely patient, respectful and go above and beyond for their patients. I have another apt Friday in their Southwick office.

When I arrived at the office the place was packed and I had to wait in a cold waiting area. They asked that I arrive 30 minutes before my appointment time, but I didn't get seen until 20 minutes after scheduled time. The only redeeming factor about my experience was that the nurses here were very polite, but when it came to the actual physical, the doctor was brisk and fished for ways to fail me. The final result of the whole experience was being forced to track down sleep apnea documents that don't exist because the doctor though I may have completed a test in the past. Overall, the nurses here were great, but the rest of the experience was terrible. I can't wait to come back here in the future.

Our experience as a family was nothing but positive, caring, informative and friendly. I feel they actually loved her. I live 3 hours away, and the staff kept me informed of all her ailments, medication changes and even her funny little anecdotes. She was in a good space, given her disease. At the end (I am crying as I write this) the staff were so supportive, kind and human... yes human, they treated us as they knew exactly how we felt. I am so grateful for first talking to Sandy Dellert, for her assistance and kindness in helping us get mom set up. I am so grateful to the staff ( including the head nurse Cathy who has now moved on to another facility) for making her comfortable though such a terrible disease as Alzheimers. I can not say enough. I have nothing good to say! While my grandfathers clothes kept being misplaced, his socks being…read moretaken and given to other residents.. none of that bothers me as much as the treatment and disrespect of his belongings after he passed.. We were there every day (the family). My grandmother always had his clothes folded neatly. After he passed all his belongings were tossed in the shower mixed with his roommates belongings ( they both passed on the same day). I find that a bit odd.. Then we were continuously lied too.. and they were missing some sentimental items that we never got back.. This is taking into consideration the short staff, the constant COVID issues, and lying directly to grieving family members. Overall pretty disgusted ! One of those places people go into and rarely come out. I am from the area and know people who work there.. makes it even worse for example they didn't wash bedding for weeks all piled in the laundry room while waiting to get their equipment fixed .. overall just gross , unsanitary and exactly what happens when big corp is in it to make money instead of taking care of people with some dignity.
