I've been meaning to write a review considering other health and physical factors that I have. I…read moresaw Martha back in July 2015 and I had gone there still in physical pain for carpal tunnel and migraines. Like I said I have other physical ailments such as herniated discs, arthritis and hip problems. After my first initial appointment I left that office with a slight less pain in my hands. It's been several weeks and my hands are pain free. Migraines have been decreased immensely, and the rest I still need to go back for treatment. I was very skeptic but I'm glad I listened to a couple of friends. I chose Stay In Touch because Martha understands the Latin culture and I wanted to be able to express my concerns in Spanish. So if you are a skeptic just give it a try. Martha is very attentive and one feels very relaxed and at ease. I'm glad I went and will be going as soon as I'm able to ambulated better. Thanks

As a female Veteran, I have been blessed to have had her services via V.A., and as anyone can tell you, working with a government institution is no easy feat. I'm am immensely grateful for Mrs. Martenez and her team! My health has improved tremendously under her care, and any/all concerns I have are always dealt with immediately... I have never felt more satisfied by any other care-provider to date!

I have not been to Robert in many years, but first saw him in Cambridge, MA in the early 1990's…read more He changed the way I thought about food, medicine, doctors and treatment and that knowledge has helped me greatly throughout my life. I was just thinking about him, so thought I would see what he is up to here I am writing this review. I spoke with him about 15 years ago and he told me he was in Western Mass. He was good back in the early 90's and I can only imagine how good he is now. When I first started seeing him I was asthmatic and the 'cure' was for me to take three different kinds of inhalers twice a day for the rest of my life. Robert cured my Asthma - I couldn't believe it, but he was very persistent and encouraging. He did treatments and had me change my diet. After about 6 months of treatment, twice a week for the first month then eventually tapering off to once a month - I could say I was cured. It was crazy and my belief in the dogma of modern medicine began to fade away. My mind was now open to question everything I had been taught in my life so far about health, food, medicine, etc. I become vegan for a year and then organic vegetarian for 15 more years. I moved away to Atlanta in 1993 and stopped getting treatment, so over a few years the asthma came back but not nearly as bad. If I had kept seeing him every two months or so to keep my system on the right track I would be asthma free now. He had all these interesting stories about traditional medicine, I remember him telling me that in the old days in China you would pay the village doctor (traditional Chinese acupuncturist/herbalist) every week a little money EXCEPT if you were sick, so that gave the doctor extra incentive to maintain everyone's health in the village! Looks like I'm the only review so far, guess folks out in western. Mass aren't into Yelp?

Then I saw Caitlin for about 20 minutes, during a promotion she was doing at Exhale. By the end of the session, at least 90% of my neck and shoulder stiffness had disappeared. This was my very first acupuncture experience, so I don't have a huge frame of reference, but I found Caitlin thoughtful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She warned me that certain techniques using cups or a scraping spoon would leave marks for a while, and made sure I was ok with that before going forward. (For a couple days after, my back *did* look a bit like I had just escaped from a new age bondage porn, but it was totally worth it.) She was also great about giving post-treatment instructions. Highly recommended.

Then I messed up some discs in my neck, and all my friends recommended acupuncture. And the pain? I'm old friends with pain, but this was the kind of pain that made me go, "Okay, I can't understand how poking me with needles is going to help, but I can't spend all day, every day, taking muscle relaxants, so I might as well try it." I called a guy who came up with lots of great reviews on Yelp. But he was busy and referred me with complete confidence to a friend from acupuncture school. And that was Caitlin. Caitlin has done great by me. I'm fussy. I hate needles (it bears repeating). I occasionally turn up my nose at other suggested treatments. And yet, saint that she is, she keeps setting me up like a pin cushion once a month. And though I whine, her work has meant that for the past nine months, I've been completely off the muscle relaxants for what might otherwise be a debilitating injury. So yeah, if you're a hurtin' bird, go get poked with needles. I can't explain it, but it works for me.
