They also had a nice cocktail and wine menu, with a section on more interesting wines. We started with the peach fizz and strawberry fields. Both were lighter, summery cocktails. We shared the oysters, won ton soup, and the sea bass, and were too full for dessert. The oysters were local, and lovely. The wonton was actually a soup, served with shrimp crackers, really good flavor, just the right amount of spice. The fish was also cooked well, I liked the saffron potatoes as something just a bit different. Nice service, more than one staff took their time to be friendly at our table. They do accept walk ins, but it is about timing. During peek season, consider a reservation.

No one acknowledged us, no clear order was advertised. It was SO weird! So we finally order, and after a very expensive bill for the food that we ordered, we were told to wait standing until the drinks were made. We needed to walk the drinks back to our table. We waited and waited, while they took other people's orders. After while, a staff member showed us that the drinks were waiting for us, ice melted, and no one told us. Ugh. We go back to the table. Many tables around us ate and are leaving, as they seem to rush people in and out. We wait for 40 minutes and our food isntvthere. We ask about it, and right away, someone else's order shows up. It's not our food. We bring it to attention of the server, and they take it away. After a while our food arrives. The dishes were good, drinks ok. The service seemed like they tried to be friendly but it was such a disorganized crap show that they might not have realized how bad it really was. I've been cooking for a long time and it was either cooking or journalism that was going to be my career path. I took the latter but experimenting with food has now become my method of relaxation. I've been here numerous times. This little seafood stall in St George's Market has been here since I've been coming and has a gaggle of fresh local seafood. The range varies according to fishing periods and what's available. I've bought huge bags of fresh Irish mussels for a paltry £3. Large, moreish and juicy they cannot be beaten. Try sautéing a finely diced torpedo shallot, a clove of garlic and a dash of black pepper. Fire in a large glass of dry white wine and a glass of water, make sure its in a large pot then fire in the mussels. Put the lid on and cook for 4-5mins. Then take the mussels out, add about 100mls of double cream, stir for 30secs and add the mussels back in, toss around and serve. The range is superb. I have a white fish allergy so have to stick to fresh seafood, salmon and tuna but the fish is always of the freshest, highest quality.

I would suggest to book a table if you are hoping to eat at Hadskis post 12:30pm. We were presented with the lunch menu by the attentive staff - there were 6 different choices of meal for £6.50 each but this wasn't basic fare - This was fine cuisine at an unbelievable price. I couldn't choose between what was on the menu so being a glutton I opted for 2 dished form this menu. As Hadskis specialises in seafood I went for the filling Seafood Chowder and the Sardine and caper Caesar salad. In retrospect I should have just gone for the Seafood Chowder as it was extremely filling - although IO 'm glad I got to taste both dishes. Each of the courses where we'll thought out and had very subtle flavours to begin, building to more powerful tastes near the end. A highlight was the compressed apple for dessert, which gave a strong taste of apple leaving a slightly floral note at the end. Overall a very relaxing and gratifying experience.
