Very small place, but it had what I needed: -A clean functional bathroom -Coffee cake -friendly people Also took ApplePay! Great parking too read more

If I could give this place 5 stars, I would. ... but backwards. I genuinely need someone to explain to me how MaryLou's is famous, because this experience was less "coffee shop" and more caffeinated confusion with a side of frozen breakfast sandwich. First of all, the bathroom was gross. A ring in the toilet is equivalent to the suffe-ring I'm about to endure coming to this place. Second, the three young ladies working there did not greet us and seemed endlessly annoyed that we had committed the unforgivable crime of... walking into the coffee shop and ordering coffee. Now let's talk about the coffee. Their menu is handwritten, which would be cute if it were actually UPDATED. The flavor listed was no longer the flavor of the day, it was the flavor of yesterday, the actual flavor of the day was already out, and somehow the flavor of the month -- horchata -- was just coffee. Pot. Coffee. How is horchata a pot coffee??? Did we sprinkle cinnamon into the regular brew and say, "¡Olé, she's horchata now!"? And how are you OUT of coffee flavors when coffee is literally the main character here? Also, the coffee was lukewarm at best. I'm no co-fee-nnoisseur, but I have had many a coffees in my lifetime, and one thing I know for certain is that HOT COFFEE should, at minimum, be hot. Then came the food. The stuffed waffle sandwich was FROZEN in the middle. We returned it. They "made" another one... and somehow Round 2 came back lukewarm, soggy, and equally depressing. At that point, just hand me the microwave and let me finish cooking it myself. The bacon, egg and croissant sandwich was another mystery. That "croissant" had the texture, density, and emotional support capabilities of a hoagie. Listen, I understand this is a coffee place and not a Michelin-starred breakfast establishment. But if the food is going to arrive iced, soggy, frozen in the middle, and impersonating a croissant, maybe stop selling food until everyone has made peace with the toaster oven or a good microwave at the very least. And apparently they didn't know how to make one of the sandwiches THEY ADVERTISE. Ma'am. It is your sandwich. But what really killed the entire experience was watching how one employee was being treated by her own coworkers. They were mean and uncomfortable to watch, especially toward a coworker who appeared to be LGBTQ+. Whatever was going on, the energy was awful. Suddenly the unwelcoming service made a lot more sense. Mean-girl service + lukewarm pot coffee + frozen breakfast sandwiches + mystery croissants = one very negative experience. Neither Mary nor Lou would be happy with this display. Mary? Disappointed. Lou? Probably asking to have his name taken off the building. And me? Still trying to understand how cinnamon coffee became horchata. Mary and Lou, please come play Secret Santa and Secret Shop at your own coffee shop, because somebody needs to unwrap what is going on here. I'll never return here, thanks tres mean amigas! read more

Whilst a conference down the street, colleagues told me to visit before I leave. Easy to get to off the main drag and parking. Cute space with lots of options. Coffees and bakery items galore. The muffins are worth it. Very yummy. My iced flavored coffee was iced. But love the decor and again the muffin was with a second mention. read more

These group of girls are extremely nasty and rude. I went in Monday the girl with the piercing on her face w dark brown/black hair was nasty and rude when placing the order. She was terrible my dad always over tips and this time the total was $7.57 and he just gave her $8.00 for her nasty attitude. Fast forward to Friday i went in and the coffee tasted disgusting so my mom asked for a different one since it wasn't made how it usually is and a different girl with dark hair working with a blonde was so rude to my mother that the man behind my mom even commented "you are so rude" to the girl behind the counter. she couldn't say anything but keep slamming things down. These girls have bad nasty attitudes and sure as hell can't make a coffee to save their lives. I'd hate to see them working in the real world. I'll stick to the Yarmouth location when wanting a GOOD coffee. read more

Marylou's is one of the places I have to hit when I come back around this way. Their coffee is on par with anyone's. Nothing overly special just good quality. But on this trip I found out their food offerings are way better than either Dunkin or Honey Dew. The breakfast sandwiches are of surprisingly good quality. The Grandma's coffee cake really does taste like a grandmother made it. I may only get here once every year or two. But it's always on the radar. read more

If you like coffee, don't go here! Place is like a sugar bomb. Coffee is weak and watery. Also the pink everything hurts my eyes.

Mary Lou's is a solid choice for iced coffee and tea! always very kind customer service. Good selection of pastries and cake pops I tried their flavored iced teas for the first time this trip and really enjoyed the passion fruit flavored one! read more

Dirty! Rude barista. And the coffee was disgusting. Everything is super dirty - my skin was crawling. I should have walked out. The whole place needs a deep clean. read more

This place is AWESOME. We make a point of stopping in most times we are in town. I went again yesterday and for the first time since I've been coming here, the line was out the door. Sigh. I was very impressed how quickly the girls were able to move through the queue. Even more impressive was how friendly the person who took my order was despite how shitty I'm sure it was dealing with all of those fuckers all morning. I tend to splurge here and order their minty lou. GF orders the caramel lou. Both are fantastic. Certainly not a diet food by any means but a nice treat to have every once in a while. read more

I came in today around 10 AM with my sister and best friend, genuinely excited to try your café after reading such positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but positive--and I left not only disappointed, but honestly, upset and angry. From the moment we arrived, the experience was chaotic. The line was confusing--no clear start or end--and no staff present to offer guidance. Still, we were patient and got in line, reading over the menu we had been looking forward to. As we approached the counter, I noticed a poster advertising a salted caramel drink. I ordered a small iced salted caramel latte, only to have the girl taking our order turn around and ask another employee if it was available. The second girl replied "no," and the first turned back to me with an annoyed, almost disgusted expression and snapped, "No." No apology, no alternative offered--just attitude. Then she gave me a nasty glare. Trying to salvage the moment, I ordered a small caramel latte with oat milk. While ordering, I politely asked how many shots come in a small latte--she ignored me. Once she was done and asked for payment, I asked again. She mumbled "two," clearly irritated, so I requested an extra shot to make it three. She added it, still glaring. We paid--despite the cold, rude demeanor--and waited. When I was handed my drink, I could tell immediately it was wrong. The color was far too light. One sip confirmed it: it was disgusting. There was no caramel flavor, it clearly wasn't oat milk, and it barely had any ice. It tasted like someone had made it with indifference and no care at all. I went back inside to kindly address the issue--but the moment I stepped in, I was met with more glares. Not one person acknowledged me. One of the girls was wearing pajama pants--which is shockingly unprofessional--and the one who had taken my order had a very visible hickey on her neck. Again: not professional. I stood by the counter, hoping someone would give me the courtesy of a few seconds to fix the mistake. But all three girls walked by me--multiple times--without a single word. Just more glares. I stood there for 5 minutes and not one of them bothered to ask if I needed help. I was in a rush and had no choice but to leave--with a $7 coffee I couldn't drink and ended up throwing away. But honestly, the worst part wasn't the wasted money--it was the way I was treated. I have never felt so unwelcome in a business. The staff looked annoyed to be there, acted like customers were a burden, and made zero effort to offer even basic customer service. This wasn't just bad service--it was disrespectful. I'm beyond disappointed and genuinely upset with how I was treated. No one should leave a coffee shop feeling this unwelcome, disrespected, and frustrated. You've lost a customer today--and I hope this message prompts some serious reflection and accountability. read more

One of my favorite coffee chains. Good alternative to Dunks, and they have a ton of flavors. They also have a variety of other drinks besides coffee, like smoothies, energy refreshers, and frozen drinks. Not too sure about the food here, I tried the hashbrowns and they were very mushy and tasted weird. I'll stick to the drinks. Most locations have a drive thru as well! read more

Marylou's Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hyannis, Massachusetts

My experience here for the first time was nothing but unpleasant. I arrived early afternoon and it was not busy. I was not greeted as I entered the empty establishment due to the fact that the employees were fully developed into an unimportant gossip conversation. I waited about 5 minutes for them to finish their conversation, still with no greeting or assistance with the menu. I decided to order a pistachio iced coffee and was unsure with the way they crafted their coffee. I was under the impression that the drink already comes with milk. I was unaware that it was a "build your own" coffee. It would be more clear if the menu was more informative. As a result, I ended up with a straight black coffee with pistachio flavoring. I saw a sign that had a marshmallow topping so I added that under the impression that it was a cold foam of some sort. Turned out it was just thick marshmallow fluff that the barista couldn't even get off of the spoon, which in turn doesn't melt with an iced drink. As a result, I ended up with a bitter pistachio flavored coffee that ended up going to waste. I expected the employee to be more helpful and insightful but instead got a weird attitude. read more

Marylou's is our favorite iced coffee -- we can't find anything like it back home! We always make a point to stop whenever we're visiting. They specialize in flavored coffees (from the bean, not with syrups). I feel like they do what Dunkin tries to do, but 100x better! We always order the PB Wonderful iced coffee. There are so many cool flavors but we keep ordering our favorite. Tastes like a peanut butter mocha! read more

If negative stars was an option I wouldn't even pick that it's too high. Bruh I came to get an order of 6 lattes riddle me how I was given brown water.Ice water? I immediately had to dump out my drink it was so offensive to my taste buds. I'm a barista I've banged out 6 iced lattes there was no need for these to be rushed and made incorrectly . I usually love Marylou's Coffee, but this location seems to have suffered greatly since the last time I was on the Cape. The floor in the customer area looked terrible, and the servers seemed unhappy to be there. My coffee was lukewarm, but I didn't want to ask for a fresh pot because I just wanted to get out of there. On the plus side, however, the iced Mudslide I ordered for my husband was absolutely delightful. That was the Marylou's we remembered for sure! read more

We stopped by Marylou's on our way home from the Cape. This location was a bit small (but maybe they all are?) and has the same retro pink decor like the other locations. The girl working was sweet and waited for us to make out decisions. We ended up getting a Minty Lou, Twix and Vanilla Hazelnut. The Minty Lou tasted like a thin mint and the Twix was spot on. The Vanilla Hazelnut was okay but was lacking something. I should have gotten my usual Minty Lou. As a side note, personally I think the pink straws are a nice touch! I would recommend Marylou's if it's on your way and you enjoy sweet iced coffees as they have the best selection. read more

I purchased Marylou's Decaf coffee k-cups recently for the first time. I don't like to write a negative review, but, this has to be the worst coffee I have ever tasted. There is no flavor whatsoever. DO NOT GET THE MINTY LOU I REPEAT DO NOT GET THE MINTY LOU. At first it's delicious. And then it is dangerous. On the toilet for the 8th time today. And I got it with oat milk too. I love that the coffee isn't piping hot when you get it so you can start drinking right away. Delicious as always! read more

As a non-New Englander myself I was clearly uneducated about Marylou's. Everyone told me I HAD to try it, so I took their word and did so. Well, I don't understand the hype because the drink I received (mint mocha iced coffee of some sort?) tasted essentially like watered down instant coffee with mint mouthwash. Basically undrinkable. Their menu is also bizarre, so it took me a moment to figure out what to order while the staff stared at me like I was a moron for not knowing what a "funky fanabla" was That leads to my next point. Their staff also was visibly irritated by any customer walking in the door and were far too busy discussing their weekend plans. Maybe it was just a bad day, I understand how it can be in any food service job, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Ultimately, the coffee was pretty horrendous but this may just be a Starbucks drinker talking, so I believe this is up to preference. See for yourself, I suppose. read more

terrible coffee, you can tell from the second it comes out. i hate dunkin but have never received a coffee so bad. actually this is the worst coffee i've ever had. i was wondering why it was so cheap but that is probably because of the horrible quality. so terrible that after spending 30 bucks on 6 coffees we went out of our way to go somewhere else. read more

Omgoodness where to start!! The service is horrendous!! The Manager I assume was in a fowl mood and she and one of the other employees were arguing loudly behind the counter in front of employees!! That's never good!! The place is filthy and needs to be deep cleaned!! I was so excited to see a real-life Marylou's!! After years of seeing their cheese-tastic commercials I stumbled across "the best coffee in town" on my way out of Hyannis this morning. Very cute place (I happen to love black and pink!) with lots of different flavored coffees as well as a bunch of specialty frozen drinks. The gal -in all pink- behind the counter suggested their famous "Frostylou" (strawberry, mocha, vanilla and coffee, frozen) but I opted for a hot hazelnut, extra light, no sugar... it was good, but it had a very heavy hazelnut flavor, almost overwhelming, and a bit artificial... Better than Dunkin's though... On a side note, I was happy to see a Starbucks at the rotary by the Bourne Bridge... Next time on my way off the Cape I'll probably wait the 20 minutes and pick up a coffee there before trekking it back to Boston... read more

This particular review is solely based off of my trip to the Mary Lou's location on Iyannough Rd in Hyannis. As a N.Y. resident, I only get to enjoy Mary Lou's when I am in town- so I really look forward to it. Sadly I was very disappointed just now, as we stopped to grab our last treat of our trip. I had been looking forward to a delicious Mocha FrostyLou to enjoy on the way home. I love Mary Lou's so much that my friends and I have talked about opening a franchise in NY! This location, cleanliness and restrooms were all fine. But either something must be off with their blender and/or coffee bean grinder -or- perhaps the person who made our drinks did not have the proper training. Unfortunately, I did not notice until we had already left, that the chunks/crunchies in my drink were not bits of ice or mocha. They were pieces of coffee beans. I get this drink every time I have been near a Mary Lou's over the years. Granted, it could have been worse, but I am disappointed :( read more

I love my coffee. And since my fiancé lives on the Cape, this is one of the first places he made me try. Boy was I glad he did! The Twix iced coffee is by far my favorite (well... the only flavor I've tried!). I've tried this flavor at several of their locations and it is consistently good!!! Listen to what other reviewers say, make sure you get skim milk, no sugar and if you want whipped cream, just get a little bit (or else you'll be on sugar overload!). After me bragging about it, I made my parents try it on their visit there. They were disappointed with the regular brew of coffee and were disappointed by the lack of variety of treats to go with the coffee. All I know is that every time I go to the Cape I go out of my way to get a treat coffee from here. And that's what I view it as, a dessert coffee. If I lived close by and drank this every day I would be in big trouble!! I recommend trying it for yourself and see the gals in pink! read more

Peanut. Butter. Coffee. Seriously. It's like a gift of the gods, given unto me for my mouth to appease all wants and desires for a good hour or two. The line moved really quickly. The staff WAS really friendly. Everything's pink, nothing against pink but it's really pink in there. Delicious delicious flavors and beyond the standard fare you find pretty much everywhere. Nutty Irishman? Heck yeah! Gourmet, Specialty and Super Specialty. There's a nice big menu and lots of options, but sometimes when you find something so perfect, you just stick with it. And that's how I feel about their peanut butter coffee. I'm sure everything else is delicious, and I'll let my boyfriend be the tester, but I can't recommend this place enough for a good cup of coffee in a variety of fun flavors. read more
