I had a wonderful experience with A.R. Glass. Eddie repaired the torn screen on my sliding glass…read moredoor, in addition to adjusting it so that it would finally close properly and lock. He also replaced four glass panes on three windows where the seal was broken and fogging up. His measurements were perfect and the new glass looks amazing. He told me that the frames were in good shape which was relief as the windows are 24 years old. Eddie cleaned the glass, tightened up the locking mechanism, and left no trash or debris behind. Eddie has a great work ethic, takes pride in his work, and is a nice person. He also responds quickly and his prices are very fair. Highly recommend.

We had a pretty good experience with Blaine (better than some of the other reviews here, I guess!)…read more We needed to replace the pane of glass in our storm door. We reached out to Blaine, and someone was able to come out to take a look within a few days after that. I do agree that the customer service here is not outstanding. Our quote initially had two items combined (a screen option and a glass option), when it was supposed to be an either/or, and wasn't itemized so we couldn't tell how much each separate replacement option cost. When I called to get a new invoice, the woman I spoke with did not understand what I was talking about, and it took a day or two to get a new invoice. The quote also said 6-8 weeks for materials, but I was told over the phone that it would likely be shorter than that. I did have to follow up after a week or two to check in, at which point they told me they did have the part and could do the replacement that week. It was nice that it was much shorter than the estimate, but a bit frustrating that they weren't proactive in calling me. The replacement itself was extremely quick and looks good, and the crew doing the replacement was very nice and professional.

This is an update on the review I posted last month of 0-1 star…read more After being stood up twice by the company, one of the managers, Sam, reached out to my husband and offered his sincere apologies. Reasons for the two failed appointments were given and he assured us that the company would make up for its lack of follow up. They did not disappoint. They provided a prompt estimate of the work that offered an honest discount, acknowledging their error. They called often to follow up and promised us impeccable service. My husband and I decided to give the company a third chance and an opportunity to amend. They scheduled the installation day promptly, showed up right on the dot, were respectful during the job, cleaned up and finished promptly, and Sam once again followed up after the job was complete. We plan on trying the shower tonight, but as far as we can tell the job was performed well. In my opinion, the company deserves 4 stars. One being removed because the second failed appointment shouldn't have happened... but they really came through and seemed genuinely apologetic about their errors and concerned about their customer satisfaction. We would be willing to try them again for a future job and recommend simply verifying that they will keep their appointment! I'm glad we gave them a third chance. Nice recovery and customer service, Sam! We appreciate it.

I contacted A1 on December 2nd about a problem with my screen door. After returning from a business trip on December 16, I provided more details about the issue. They said someone would come to take measurements, but according to my front door camera, no one ever showed up. On December 18, they confirmed via text--providing detailed information--that they could do the job at a price I could afford. Finally, on December 30th, they came to do the work. I was out of town for business again, but since my first experience was positive, I trusted things would go smoothly. That was a mistake. They did the exact opposite of what we agreed upon, despite confirming the details in writing. Nothing they promised was actually done. To make matters worse, they left my front porch a mess. I later had another handyman look at their work, and he told me I was overcharged, especially considering they just reused the original materials and merely painted over them. I am extremely disappointed that I gave this business a second chance. I am retracting my original positive review.
