So I decided to call around and I ended up at S&S in Rivertowne shopping center. I was skeptical but Cece provided great customer service and promptly put all of my worries to rest. A great Thank You to Artina, one of the title representatives who works at this Bowie location…read more We my husband and I are new to the state, we got our needed documentation for car registration and headed to the MD express tag & title, when speaking with Artina, she noted that we were 2-days late after getting our drivers license... (which we did not know that once you get your license you "must" register your car within 60-days) otherwise you are hit hard with fines... So, instead of just charging this outrageous amount she gave us the option to go to an actual MVA to see if they waive it since it was only just 2-days late. We went to MVA and "YES" they waived it!! This saved us about $800.00 I appreciate her character and willingness to help! God Bless you Artina! :)

I had already purchased a vehicle from a private seller in Maryland back in August and spent…read moreseveral days fixing it up so I could drive it back to upstate New York. I was trying to get the car home legally without paying thousands to ship it -- something I've done with other states before. Instead, I spent months getting conflicting and incorrect advice from other tag & title places and the Maryland MVA. I was repeatedly told it was "impossible," or that only the MVA might be able to do it with long waits, appointments, and excessive hassle. Meanwhile, the car sat at a friend's house while I tried to figure out what to do. All I actually needed -- which no one else could clearly explain -- was a 15-day transit tag and the correct paperwork. Maryland Express Tag & Title was the only place that truly understood the process. When I first spoke with Kelsey on the phone, she immediately said yes and clearly explained exactly what paperwork I needed to bring. Given all the bad advice I had received elsewhere, it sounded almost too easy -- so I asked her to please confirm with a manager. She did, called me back, and confirmed again that everything would be fine if I brought the documents she outlined. When I visited the location inside the Bowie Walmart on December 10th, I worked with Michael M. and Leticia T. They reviewed everything right away, reassured me I was good to go, and handled the entire process professionally and efficiently. I was in and out in about 15 minutes, including fixing a couple of sections I had missed on the paperwork. I had set aside an entire day -- and even planned for an overnight stay if needed -- but their efficiency saved me a massive amount of time and stress. My insurance company told me that New York and Maryland are two of the hardest states to deal with, which makes their competence even more impressive. I bought an older, increasingly rare car I wanted when I was a teenager, and thanks to this team, it finally made it home. If I had called this shop first, I likely could have driven it back months earlier. Huge thanks to Kelsey, Michael M., and Leticia T. -- they absolutely deserve the recognition. I will 100% use this location again and recommend it to anyone dealing with out-of-state or private-sale vehicle paperwork. I wish they were in NY.

My parents required handicapped placards for their vehicles and since I heard from an excellent…read moresource that this establishment is capable of providing the placards in a very reasonable timeframe, I thought I'd give them a try. My father was already approved by his doctor and we filled out the appropriate forms, so I stopped by to get this process started. I was greeted by a very sweet and nice older gentleman who checked my paperwork and informed me that once the paperwork was approved, the placards would be back in the office in a few days. Excellent news! A fee of $20 would be needed for this transaction...not for the placards, but for the service provided. They offer tittle services, vehicle registration, registration renewals, license tags and of course handicap placards. They also offer other services, inquire within. Everything seems to happen either on the spot or within a few days. Perfect for people who require these items in a hurry. I was able to receive my parents placards in a day or two and the service was fast, friendly, and pleasant - WITHOUT long lines and long wait times. #Winning! When I came to retrieve the placards his friendly daughter was there to greet me and give me the placards. FYI - Hours of operation, Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm.
