Having been an artist and designer for over 35 years, met & worked with many professionals including those who have retail stores, I must say that the sales rep at the store has the worst personality and demeanor that I have ever met. She was quite rude, very arrogant and not helpful at all. If I were to hire anyone to represent my retail brand, it certainly would not be her. She should really take some courses on " customer service and relations" Her attitude does not deserve even one star.

I actually purchased through another website of theirs (Home Tex www.hometex.ca). The transaction was quite easy. Please be sure to check out the coupons as you can easily get a few dollars off. When I spoke to a rep via chat, they also gave me a link to get some free samples (choice of dish cloth or cheesecloth). For shipping, you have the option to pick up at the store (close to Yorkdale Mall) or delivered to your door for an extra fee. I went to pick them up since it wasn't too far. From the outside it looked somewhat sketchy. But never mind that. The products were great ! I didn't get a chance to go in cuz before I even parked my car, someone had come out w/ my box. Perhaps they really wanted to leave as it was close to closing. The burlap was easy to cut & I liked the lace a lot. There are many different sizes for these things! I think it is definitely easier shopping online than at the site.

Some items I've seen on sale at other locations are surprisingly not on sale here, so I kind of wonder if each location sets their own prices or if this one just isn't as up to date. I've found a few good fabrics here (I like to get fabric ends too for little accessory items) and they've got a great sale table upstairs for canvas fabrics and outdoor materials. You've really got to take your time though and the staff are very mixed. Sometimes I'll get a nice one who smiles and is very friendly. Most of the time, I get one that's really snippy and impatient. "Are you ready yet?".. good lord.. I'm just walking by to the other side to see more fabric. But by all means, I'm happy to just leave. I've been rushed nearly every visit and it really sucks because there's a few friendly staff in there and the negative ones are sorta ruining everything for them. I honestly think management either doesn't care or equally has the same snippy attitude... At the end of the day, people shopping here just want to get some fabric and get creative. Unless I'm really hunting down a particular fabric, I wouldn't even bother driving here anymore. This is one fabric store I'm happy to skip. It's a tough plaza to turn into unless you're heading on Warden Ave southbound. If you're coming from the south, you'll need to make a U-turn at some point because I don't believe you can make a left into the plaza. We always find parking though, so that's nice.

Lots of charms to choose from and you can bring your own. The staff wad helpful in every step to help teach you how to use the piping bags to decoration ideas.
