I went in there earlier today and was sent to a dressing room. I walked in and saw a few women sitting with a few sewing machines talking together. I was greeted eventually by a woman who measured me and went to get a corset for my wedding. That's when my experience at this business went wrong. I started to watch her and she started to talk to her friends about the Super Bowl and it took her a lot longer to get what I needed. I then informed her when she came back that I was in a rush and we tried on the first corset (I had about 30 minutes to get a corset and pay to get out on time, but at this point I was in the store for almost 15 minutes) . I felt like the corset was a little dated and not going to work with my dress and my body and she started to argue with me. The cups did nothing for my breasts and I felt like I was not getting supported the way it should have been. The cups went way too high since my dress is low cut on me I knew it wasn't going to work. I asked her if I could try on another one and I could hear her talk about the Super Bowl again. She brings back another corset and she is insistent that it works with my dress (which she has never seen before), tells me that I have "too much back fat" (thanks for that lady). I feel like this one is loose in my cup area and I go to pull it up and she is insisting that I leave it alone. I ask her how much it was and she tells me $70 and then says $74 because the prices went up January 1st and that I would only receive store credit if I needed to exchange it. I tell her I was in a rush and that I would really need to come back when I had more time (clearly) and she definitely was talking about me as I was getting dressed. When I got out of the dressing room no one said anything to me, they were suddenly quiet. I walked out of the store and was not even given a "Have a good day" by anyone. While I understand that going anywhere with a limited time put a stress on things, I feel that the customer service was terrible and the corset collection was clearly limited. read more

Their new location at 158 Manetto Hill Road is bright and fresh! As usual, they are very busy because they are the only store left that does this specialty. Bring your patience and you will walk out happy with a correct fitting bra!! The staff is friendly and fun! read more

After loosing a substantial amount of weight I went to get fitted for new everyday bras. This was a new experience for me and I was extremely embarrassed. Chris (the fitter) me made me feel so comfortable and so at ease. She was so accommodating and I was fitted perfectly. I highly recommend Mary's and I will not purchase a bra anywhere else. Picked up my bridesmaids dress yesterday. It was taken in way too much so now I can barely close it. The clasp actually popped off the dress as I moved around. Heading back today and hopefully they will be able to take the dress out a little so it can zip close and I can breathe! read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! MY DAUGHTER AND I went to get undergarments for her wedding. A loner bra which I purchased was given to me for my fitting waiting to get the color needed which they ordered. My daughter also ordered a couple of bras. No one ever called back and when I called 1st time, was spoken to rudely saying if the bras came we would call! I said the wedding is in 2 weeks and was told don't call us , we'll call you! The day before the wedding I called and basically was told OH WELL!!! I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. As the mother of the bride I went here on the recommendation of my bridal shop, only to find when i went for my dress fitting had they not only sold me the wrong bra, but also the wrong size. I went back to return the undergarment to find out i am now out $70., they only do store credit. I have no desire to step back in this store. Shopped in their new location on Manetto Hill Rd with my hard to fit niece. The women in the shop could not have been more helpful. My niece was ecstatic leaving the shop because she finally had bras (regular and sports) that fit well and a bathing suit. They wrote everything down so that if she needs additional bras we can call and have them shipped, as she lives out of state. They were extremely accommodating and did alterations on the spot. read more

After spending a of money here for my undergarments for my wedding and my mom spending a lot of money here I was just turned away. I came with a bra that I bought here to get fixed because the underwire poked through and there was a line. I was willing to wait but they said I would have to leave it. I said I was down to one bra because another one broke this week and was told to "wear the broken one with the wire poking thought and just deal with it". I got here at 230 and they close at 3 and was told they couldn't take me, even though there were other people waiting. I came the week before at 250 and they were already closed. Their hours are horrible. I can't just believe that a store in the service industry wouldn't help a customer who has spent hundreds of dollars here. It would have taken them two minutes tops to sew the wire, on THEIR product that broke. Go someplace else where they care about their customers. Avoid!!! Not a good experience here at all. I came on Saturday morning for the first time. I thought it was a store & I could shop around but I was wrong. As soon as i walked in I was being yelled at for walking around and was told I needed to sign in and have a seat until I was called. It took an hour for me to be called and then another 10 minutes for someone to actually help me. I informed her I was getting married & I needed a bustier for my wedding dress. She went to the back & brought one that was too big everywhere. I told her I didn't like it and then she came back with 2 more. The other 2 were basically the same fit as each other, just different design. I let her know I didn't like the fit (they squished my breasts and didn't look flattering at all). She said that was all she had & there was nothing else she could do. I asked her if she had the first one in my size because it could possibly work & she said no but the seamstress could take it in (basically everywhere) to get a good fit. I told her I would prefer to buy something in my size instead of something that was too big & had to be made smaller. She basically put her hands up in the air & said there was nothing she could do. I came to this place because they are supposed to specialize in undergarments. They only had 3 options & didn't even have a variety of sizes. (for reference I tried on a 36D and needed something smaller. so it isn't like my size was abnormal). Anyway, my mom also came to try bustiers on and while I was waiting for her to be done, I heard a lady being yelled at because she didn't specify on the sign in sheet if she was allergic to cats or not. Very odd reason to yell at someone. Then another lady had to step out quickly & said she would be back (since the wait was so long) and they were very rude telling her if she left she would be put on the bottom of the list. the lady left and never came back. Coming here was a waste of time and I won't be recommending them to anyone read more

Cheap quality of bras. Saleswoman didn't even measure me. Put a bra on and told her it feels too much like I hv a bra on. She says cuz the old bra was no good. This is not my first bra. Really! I wear the bra over the weekend and it is really irritating me so I had to take it off. I wash it hoping it wud soften up but to no avail. I call Tues morning to let her know this material is very uncomfortable. She says oh we'll take care of it. I go after work, take it off and show her it's not soft. She says it is. Brings me another one to try, then another one which really sucked. Says u didnt finish putting it on right. It needs to be altered. I said I'm not coming back. At this point I hv had it. Buy a bra and return the other I bought. But I am stuck with a $55 bra and she doesn't get why I am angry. Told me you hv to wash new bras serveral times b4 it feels good. Is she serious? Who the hell does that? I said I never had this pblm b4. She goes on to tell me I hv an attitude. The other woman does the transaction and the snotty one walks away. NEVER EVER will I go there again. How dare she speak like that. It was her way or the highway. Again cheap, poor quality of bras. I miss Georgetts they were professional and knew how to fit bras. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. My mother was a loyal customer at another corsetiere shop for over 20 years until she retired. Looking for a new shop, she went to Mary's and spent $350 on her first experience there. The next day, she received a nasty message that the cashier had under-charged her by $10 and she needed to come back in to pay the balance. My mother works 2 jobs nearly 18 hours a day and has a million other things on her plate. It wasn't her priority. Since then, she has received ONE DOZEN harassing phone calls and messages for the $10. When my mother asked me to call on her behalf to speak with the manager, it turned out that Karen WAS the manager. She spent almost 15 minutes berating ME, using condescending language, making assumptions about me based on age (I'm 33, thanks), and threatened to charge my mother's card against her authorization. Among other things, she told me I "had issues", "had no respect" because "we" wouldn't pay the $10 (which is a matter of principle and bad customer service at this point) and that my mother should have explained "her situation" if she couldn't pay the difference. She also put me on speaker phone to have everyone else in the shop hear the call, and had other employees actually yelling at me from the background, which she encouraged. If she spent half as much time training the employees on basic math, cashier skills and customer service, there would have been no need for the issue to begin with. No one should EVER have to explain themselves to a stranger, and should expect common courtesy when dealing with a business. Stalking and harassing a customer for a $10 miscalculation on the STORE'S part in excess of a dozen times is absurd. After reading the other reviews on here, I see we're not alone in our bad experience with this store. read more

I first brought my daughter there when she was a teenager because we were recommended. My daughter was a size 5 with a bra size of 32 DDDD. That was more than twenty five years ago. I have been going there ever since. Alteration adjustments on bras are done while you wait. Yes their hours are not exactly ideal, and the waits can be long if you come Saturday mornings or other busy times, but I now live in Manhattan and still come to Woodbury. For my peace of mind, and trust that I will be well fitted there is no better place. I have brought friends and recommended people who have all been satisfied. If you're looking for Victoria's Secret, go there, cause this isn't the place. But if you want to be well fitted by professionals who know what they are doing, stop in to Mary's! read more

There is no other place to go to buy a bra for every day, as well as special occasion. Once you go here you won't want to go anywhere else. I went the first time for my wedding, brought my gown in with me, so they fitted me perfectly with the gown. Have been back since then, when I was pregnant, when keeping up with changing sizes is always hard. Basically you go into the store (there is a wait if you go during peak times), give the man at the desk your name, then one of the ladies will call you in when they get to your name. They have basic 'changing booths', you let them know what you are looking for, and they go pick out some bras for you to try on. Then once you try them on, they adjust the bra as needed (move a strap, cut material, etc). It really is a craft, and they are super talented at what they do. An amazing place, and all of the people there are 100% professional. And it is not too expensive - if i remember correctly, around $40 - $70, but check. read more
