Gross

While I appreciate the effort put into providing a variety of family fun activities that the kids enjoyed, the actual accommodations need significant improvement. The presence of mold and mildew in the shower made it unusable, and the overall upkeep of the facility is lacking. The floors and baseboards are dirty, and many light fixtures either don't work or have missing bulbs. The most concerning issue is the apparent water damage and mold problems. Visible signs of water issues, such as old ceiling patch jobs, and the mold have caused several of us to experience symptoms like runny noses, eye irritations, headaches, and coughing. The "bring a pet and pay a $300 cleaning fee" is a joke, the floors here are so gross I wouldn't let my child play on it. I hope the owners address these critical issues to ensure a healthier and more pleasant stay for future guests, but I won't ever be back here.

Our cabin is the first picture posted on their Facebook page as the winner of the cabin decorating contest.

We had an absolutely wonderful first trip to Marval. However, we won the cabin decorating contest during the Halloween festivities this year and forgot to pick up our certicate for a two night stay in a deluxe cabin. We called when we were only one hour away and were reassured they would keep this for us and we could call to book our next stay at Marval. I called today to do so and was told by the general manager Stacy that I was given the wrong information by her staff and that maybe had I called within a week to rebook or turned around to get the paper certificate this would have been honored. I am extremely disappointed in this response when I was reassured that we did not need to turn around to get the certificate. I am also very disappointed in the way I was dismissed on the phone and told there was nothing she could do to make this right.

dirty blinds, holes in walls, broken furniture, insulation hanging out, rusted sink

Dirty, smelly, old cabins. We rented three deluxe cabins for our family for thanksgiving. There was nothing deluxe about them! They were dirty, smelly, gross and old. The blinds were very dirty, broke, did not fit windows, holes in the walls, rusted bathroom sink, dirty floors, smelled bad, lights flickered, shower's did not drain, leaking plumbing, dirty grout, gaps in walls. Not acceptable. These are not the ones our family stayed in before. These are the ones that are dog friendly! They are gross, dirty, and should not be rented!!

After many, many years of taking my kids here, I will never ever spend another dime with them. I'm the guy that *rarely ever* complains about a bad experience online, and always gives a glowing review when I can. In this case I want to warn anyone that might consider going, they should be aware what they're walking into. The site we paid for was $75... Long story ahead, but the way we were treated was unfathomable, and I hope nobody EVER experiences anything like it there again. We arrived Thursday and our site was under water, but a couple guys were trying to pump water so they started helping me figure out how to get in the site. Ended up parking backwards, unable to use the sewer hookup I paid for, and they got the water to drain with a sump pump just enough to hook up the utilities without being under water. I asked the office if there was anything they could do, and was told "Well you can go home if you don't want to deal with it" - mind you these sites are all reserved a year ahead, so the kids and their friends I brought would be devastated if I took that option. I sucked it up and made the best of it. Overnight, it rained again, and these pictures are how we woke up the next morning. I called and spoke with a sweet lady, told her we were trapped, I mean who wants to get out in 4-6" of water when there's electric lines connected in the middle of the water? I simply asked if she could let the kind gents know that had so kindly tried to help the day before, maybe they could bring their sump pump. She called me back 5 minutes later, said "I'm so sorry to tell you this, but when I went over the walkie to say y'all needed help, the ladies in the office immediately replied with "DON'T BOTHER"... I thought, oh gosh I wish you wouldn't have told me that... She went on to say the guy over housekeeping also said "Yeah don't bother"... I pleaded for them to just get in a golf cart and come *look* at how bad it was. Nope. Nothing. At that point the lady said they have water shoes in the office they could sell me. Sooooo, we stayed in the camper all day. No offer to drag a table over to help us get out, nothing. Eventually a kind neighbor brought over a pallet so we could get out. Of course on the 3rd day, it started drying out, and the kids eventually got to experience the fun halloween activities, despite the absolutely horrific customer "service" at this place. Mid-day a friend camping down the road caught one of the very awesome maintenance guys and informed them of our situation, and he brought his pump down to try and help too. I hope they actually fix this site, or get rid of it so people don't get totally screwed like we did. Be warned, if you have any issues at Marval, they will likely tell you "You can go home if you don't like it"...

First, I would like to say that every staff person we met at F&F was so nice and accommodating…read more Very responsive to all of our needs and did everything with a smile. We were in building 105 which had five bedrooms and four baths. We had about 14 people from several different families and this was a perfect setup for us. Very large common area with several tables and many chairs. Various sized bathrooms with a mix of tubs and walk-in showers. One room had a king size bed and the other four each had two double beds. It was right across from the pond and disc golf course which we liked. Just a short walk to the pool and Soda Steve's restaurant. The water was hot and showers had good pressure. A/C worked well. We liked the property's gift shop and little game room with the ping pong and foosball tables. Having said that, I'm not sure we would return in the future. As many have mentioned in the reviews the "resort" has not aged well. Our building was musty and outdated. Many things were bent or patched together. Some of the blinds did not shut, handles were loose, light bulbs needed replaced, light fixtures had a few bugs in them and the exterior was shabby and poorly managed. The cooking items in the kitchen were just a hodge podge of items. Many windows had film on them that obstructed the view. Three of the rooms had floor to ceiling wood paneling and were very outdated. You got the feeling the friendly staff cleaned as well as they could but were having a hard time keeping up with the older property. Building 105 is located right next to an abandoned looking private residence. For $1200 for two nights you really expect more. The skating rink was a concrete floor in a building that was not air- conditioned. The hot tub jets worked but the heater was broken. There was no internet or wi-fi. There was a TV but no cable and channels were very limited and this was pretty disappointing. We were disappointed as well that there were no queen beds but only double beds. The rooms certainly could have accommodated queen beds. We all agreed that the quality of the place was the level of a Motel 6 or less which is a shame since the property is really laid out well and has a lot of potential. Hopefully an investment in funds can someday bring this place back to what it used to be.

Wow! Middle of Gore, Oklahoma is a small 16 unit motel, clearly owned by a very proper Indian…read more(India) family. Online they have a great reputation, and I am proud to be the yelper that added them to yelp and 1st to review. This is a very well kept motel. It's one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. The sheets and comforter smell like tide essentials and everything is in its place and in good working condition. Unlike many hotels that keep relaxing their tubes this motel has a like new tube/shower, which is spic and span. The hotel uses at least costco grade towels and as mentioned its tidy as can be. The parking spaces I noticed were extra wide, we drove a box truck here. Many of us city slickers wouldn't pay much attention to the heater, especially since everywhere you go there is a heater. But with this January 2018 freeze we are experiencing it is only 3-11 degrees in Oklahoma and Tennesse. With that said last night it started showing so we stopped in Tennessee at a Rodeway Inn, Holly Molly was it cold, the heater tried to do its job, but must have retired in the 1980s. Thank goodness we had movers pads and we layered 3 on top of the comforter just to catch our teeth from rattling. Prior to having the wife step out of the truck I hurried to the room to turn on the heater, thank god, this is a trully well kept hotel motel. The heater is atleast from this century, and to my surprise the bathroom also has a heater, cranked them both on, and in minutes it was toasty and comfortable. If you read my review in its entirety I thank you, i hope you have as nice an experience as we are. This is a review of the spectacular Christmas light display, happening now until New Year's. I…read moreread about this event in the Tulsa World and since we were running over to Grand that same day and Pine Lodge is literally a mile away from our destination, we decided to check it out. We went right at dusk, but I think if it had been truly dark, we could have seen the resort from miles away. ALL. THE. LIGHTS. (And, other decorations.) We were surprised by the amount of holiday cheer that was put up. Lots of inflatables (some quite unique). If you're in the area, I would certainly check it out. There's a donation box at the end if you're impressed.

My stay at Pine Lodge Resort, was peaceful and relaxing. Booking a room online was quick and so…read moreeasy! Location became an issue for me! The lady on the phone talked to me while I was meandering around the area in my truck on a dark road. Thank goodness!! She was so accommodating! For example: the number of nights I wanted to stay. Minimum is two nights. I was allowed to stay one. After I was assigned to one cabin, she allowed me to stay in a different cabin. Pulling up to park at my assigned cabin my headlights showed 3 deer!! Another times, I saw them from the balcony, several more deer. In fact, they seemed within an arm's reach. The balcony was clean with a covered table, hot tub and a means to charcoal meats. The grill utensils hung along the guard rails. Once inside, it appeared very clean. Every possible amenity was available (except robes or q-tips). Fireplace, cut wood, lighter, microwave, fold out couch, mini fridge, window unit, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, table and 2 chairs, tv, wifi, ceiling fan, towels (request extra if using the hot tub), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Of course, a large cozy bed! The hot tub is small. My best guess would be that they can accommodate 4 small bodies max. Great jets and very hot water! The showers are so clean and sparkly! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap hang on the wall. All have a very mild scent. It was a perfect get away for me.
