So this past weekend I went to diamondhead to celebrate my birthday, we had a very large group of…read morepeople but we have NEVER had so much trouble and disappointed as we had this year!!!! I have been coming to diamondhead for the past 8 years, never have we choose to go to any resort but after this year my WHOLE GROUP (52 ppl) will be taking our money and enjoyment elsewhere!!! Apon arrival I called the morning we were coming out which would've been on that Friday. I asked what the remaining balance of our room was. The lady gave me an estimate. OK cool well as everyone who goes to diamond head knows that if you pay for the motel rooms or the bunk houses or any of that you have to pay a deposit so we did that back when we reserve the room months ago when we get there they want to charge us $125 incidental fee that the girls working register said it was in place of the deposit as well... but we already paid that on top of the remaining balance of our room didn't give nobody a heads up that they had made these changes didn't let me know whenever I called that morning that they were doing that so that was the first incident, especially because in the office on every single computer it only said that there was a $25 incidental fee not 125, when we pointed that out to the guy that was helping us, he instantly went to all of the computers and tore them down. then we get the keys to our room we walk in our room. It smells like complete fish like disgusting unbearable. We tried to air out the room that in hell we lit some candles that didn't really help and so we went back to the office and asked them about it, and the guy that originally helped us helped us again he didn't even wanna come in our room because he knew that it didn't smell good. He even told us that the room's leak whenever it rains... but they wanna charge us $125 incidental fee?? how about you upgrade your rooms and actually do something about the mold the stains ,the smell, the dirtiness why don't they worry about that instead of trying to charge people just like they charge my mother a $400 bill whenever she already paid fully for her room, how does that make any sense? and when did the prices go from $34 for a float to $40 per person per float up charging for what? Nothing about the float changed the mileage didn't change the capacity didn't change, so why does the price need to change? And on top of that, they drove all of us up to our destination to get on the raft to start our float and what wasn't there? the rafts! So we all had to wait around for 30 minutes at the destination just to wait for some rafts that should've already been there and ready.. Its sad this place is going downhill fast, because it was my favorite

Our first time there we were unaware the bunk beds did not come with pillows and blankets. Brandon the staff member/manager I believe that's what he was, Was very very polite, patient with the situation and made things right towards the end at our check out. I am certain other people have had a better experience than ours. With that being said I would still do business with diamond head and Brandon because he made it right and was understanding with the situation. Unfortunate what we went through, but it certainly was not Brandon's fault. Things break and things need repairing. And we had the bad luck that weekend. Thank you Brandon for working with us.

My stay at Pine Lodge Resort, was peaceful and relaxing. Booking a room online was quick and so…read moreeasy! Location became an issue for me! The lady on the phone talked to me while I was meandering around the area in my truck on a dark road. Thank goodness!! She was so accommodating! For example: the number of nights I wanted to stay. Minimum is two nights. I was allowed to stay one. After I was assigned to one cabin, she allowed me to stay in a different cabin. Pulling up to park at my assigned cabin my headlights showed 3 deer!! Another times, I saw them from the balcony, several more deer. In fact, they seemed within an arm's reach. The balcony was clean with a covered table, hot tub and a means to charcoal meats. The grill utensils hung along the guard rails. Once inside, it appeared very clean. Every possible amenity was available (except robes or q-tips). Fireplace, cut wood, lighter, microwave, fold out couch, mini fridge, window unit, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, table and 2 chairs, tv, wifi, ceiling fan, towels (request extra if using the hot tub), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Of course, a large cozy bed! The hot tub is small. My best guess would be that they can accommodate 4 small bodies max. Great jets and very hot water! The showers are so clean and sparkly! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap hang on the wall. All have a very mild scent. It was a perfect get away for me.

This is a review of the spectacular Christmas light display, happening now until New Year's. I…read moreread about this event in the Tulsa World and since we were running over to Grand that same day and Pine Lodge is literally a mile away from our destination, we decided to check it out. We went right at dusk, but I think if it had been truly dark, we could have seen the resort from miles away. ALL. THE. LIGHTS. (And, other decorations.) We were surprised by the amount of holiday cheer that was put up. Lots of inflatables (some quite unique). If you're in the area, I would certainly check it out. There's a donation box at the end if you're impressed.

We are budget-minded and from the Pettit Bay Cabins & Grocery website, lack of negative (or really ANY) reviews, and the pleasantness of the owner when we called we booked a 2 bed room and were thrilled with the supposed convenience, friendliness, savings, and everything! that was - until we got there. Upon arrival we went to the grocery store to check in as advised, paid and got our keys. The woman who checked us in was nice if somewhat vacant but she directed us to our cabin and off we went. We were not expecting the Ritz - not even a Motel 6 but what greeted us was a grimy hybrid of Deliverance meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The screened in porch was filthy - as was the room. The beds sagged in the middle and were obviously old - covered in musty mismatched spreads. The windows were grimy - the kitchenette was dusty, rusty, and had spiderwebs, the air-conditioning worked well but the mildew smell caused my friend to have an immediate asthma attack. We couldn't get back in our car fast enough. When we returned our keys an apology and a full refund was promptly given however we were 3+ hours from home with no where to stay. Luckily the Fin & Feather Resort had had a last minute cancellation and that's where we wound up. Pettit Bay might be right up your alley if seriously roughing it is your cup of tea - but in my opinion it's several steps below sleeping in a tent w/ no running water close by. AVOID!

My gal pals and I saw they were hosting a Girls' Weekend, so we decided it would be the perfect way…read moreto wind down summer! And it 100% was the perfect way. Booking/billing is a little disorganized as they were changing systems, so we had a little bit of trouble with that (some charge issues, unavailable lodging listed on website) but nothing a few phone calls couldn't fix! Everything else was absolutely incredible. We stayed in the tanner house 2 nights, and we had beautiful flowers in the kitchen. It is the cutest house with sleeping arrangements for 4 or 5 with the couch! And it was comfy. The back deck overlooks the lake, and was perfect to look at stars at night and/or drink morning coffee. The oven was out of order, but we were overly fed without it! That leads me to dining and the actual Girls' weekend package. We got the cutest dinner tickets and schedules. So we started Saturday morning with a delicious little breakfast. The cinnamon rolls are next level good. Then we had an awesome yoga class at 11am. The yoga barn is gorgeous inside. Plenty of space for lots of yogis. Lunch was a delicious spread of salads and sandwiches and awesome pickles. Plus mimosas and desserts. The salads were a strawberry one and a peach one with these delicious nuts and dressings. They pay extreme attention to detail on the food here! Then we spent our afternoon by the pool until it was time for our cocktail making class. The pool is so neat how it's built kind of secluded in the trees. It has an outdoor kitchen area and the nicest pool bathrooms I've ever seen. They had lots of floaties for us to relax on too. The cocktail class was another incredible inclusion. And we got to keep our shakers! Mack was the head bartender, and she was SO great. I didn't catch the other girls names that helped us all day, but every staff member the whole weekend were SO kind and fun. The cocktail concept was one I had seen on TikTok brought to life even better. It was a brilliant set up. We had so much fun trying new flavors and muddling our ingredients. We also got drawn names for a giveaway gift! I got the cutest wine cup. And we got a gift card for the gift shop boutique on site with our overnight booking. As dinner rolled around, our dinner ticket in the package allowed us to order a drink and entree from the main dinner menu, so it was great to try that! I got the sirloin tips special, and oh my gosh was it good. Quality beef. The glazed carrots were SO good, and the onion rings hand battered and fried to perfection. We all struggled deciding what to get because it all sounded delicious. Since we shared, I can confirm the garlic shrimp and bruschetta are also delicious. And spaghetti! We even got this little fan that keeps flies away on our outdoor table. The patio was beautiful. Our server (Kristy I think or Christine maybe) was SO nice. And even though I made cocktails with Mack earlier, her margarita special at dinner was still better than anything I made myself! Lol Then we had the option of a movie in the pool on this big inflatable screen, which is such a cool idea, or live music at the barn! We ate a late dinner, so we didn't spend too much time out and about after that, but the offerings were supreme. And of course we just enjoyed our time back at the Tanner House laughing, dancing, eating leftovers, etc.! We also got Sunday brunch, which was another incredible experience. Huge selection of fancy options like prime rib! Plus all the classic breakfast offerings elevated. Dessert was amazing. The catfish was excellent. I ate until I was overly stuffed because I wanted to try it all. Definitely hit the Sunday brunch if you want the best in NE Oklahoma. Not only is the Canebrake just beautiful and fun on its own, they host some awesome events like Girls' Weekend. The price we paid vs what we got was unmatched. It was beyond worth what we spent. We loved all of it. One of us did a spa day too, and she said it was heavenly. Every service requested & offered was extremely thought out, planned, and executed with success. I could do individual reviews for every aspect, and I've already written a novel! I can't wait to go back for another event or just a relaxing meal on the patio. Thank you staff for making us feel so pampered!

We have been going there since 2020. Jamie never returned the phone calls. In the end I wrote her an email and she responded that say we were no longer able to stay at Marval or have our reunion as we parked on the grass, cars blocked areas where trailers drove through and a camper was in disagreement with her. 2. Jamie, manager of Marval RV Resort said we had numerous issues however could not let us know what they were. Even though we have been coming there since 2020, we never had issues with Marval. Jamie is new this year and based on other reviews takes great pleasure on her "power trip". She is not customer oriented, does not introduce herself when she is in the campground riding around looking for violations, not friendly at all! I would go so far to say she is devious. 3. Marval is not ADA compliant with their pavilion - had a 96 yo legally blind woman and an 86 yo woman who is disabled walking - there is no accessible ramp to pavilion. There are no handrails to hold on to, there is a high step to go up. There is no accessible parking for handicapped, car was parked on grass by pavilion. We are no longer welcome to return to Marval due to one of a couple reasons - parking on grass and not abiding by quiet hours. This is not why I am making this report. There are AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT issues that need to be fixed. An ADA issue was reported for violations. 4. Laundry room was locked and not operable. We had to go to Gore. 5. Some showers in public bathroom did not have hot water 6. We used to have access to the Club House for free based on number of trailer campers and number of cabins rented - beginning in 2024 we started to get charged $400 7. Each person who is not staying at Marval must have a pass to get in - it is $12 per person per day - even if you are coming in just to visit family 8. The loft with 2 beds above does not accommodate any adults even tho it is advertised as such. There were 4 in the cabin and 2 slept on bed, the other 2 had to sleep on the futon which barely had any cushion.
