I've been banking here for just under two years and, until today, I had been very happy with my…read moreexperience. That changed when I came in to open a Rocky Raccoon savings account for my son. We arrived with all the required documents and were genuinely excited about what should have been a positive milestone. Unfortunately, we were told that opening the account would take 25 minutes and, since we arrived 15 minutes before closing, we would need to come back another day. This was extremely frustrating, especially because the day before I had been told that all we needed to do was bring the necessary documents and the account could be opened as a walk-in. We left disappointed--especially my six-year-old son, who couldn't understand why we couldn't be helped when the branch was still open and customers were continuing to come and go. That situation irritated me beyond belief as I watched his excitement be replaced with sadness. Because of this, I turned back and approached the same teller to ask whether there was enough time--about 10 minutes at this point--to close both my business and personal accounts. At that point, the branch manager quickly intervened and stated that they "actually" did have time to open my son's account. Unfortunately, by then the damage had already been done. I was left feeling that my business was viewed as a hassle rather than a priority. What's most disappointing is that had there initially been even a good-faith effort to begin the paperwork, I wouldn't have felt so clearly dismissed. It's sad that there wasn't time to open a new account and accept our money, yet in a matter of minutes they lost thousands when I closed both my business and personal accounts. The takeaway is simple: treat your patrons as a priority, or you risk losing them altogether. This is especially unfortunate because I truly believed Valley Strong was better than this and genuinely focused on member satisfaction.

Leslie I think was her name, tried to talk me out of filing because my income was so low I did not need to file. I told her I hadn't filed in year's and that I needed to file so that I wouldn't miss out on another Golden State Stimulus check. Leslie preceded to tell me that I could not get the last Golden State stimulus actually what she said was that "I cannot get that for you" I told her I didn't need her to get me anything other than a completed tax return. So I go back@ our scheduled time where she says again " I don't even know why you're filing" how about because it's the law and I want a golden state stimulus check when they come around again. So she asks for ID I hand her my license. She asks is everything current? Yes. Then she says I can't read it is that an I for your home address?? Yes I-385 but it isn't my home address. She then freeze's up makes a phone call then tells me we have to wait for a call back. Then she again says, I don't know why you're even filing" WTFH lady? She asks if I have health insurance yes Medicaid & Medical I proclaim. So I asked for my license back that she buried underneath a stack of miscellaneous paperwork. I got the impression that she was attempting to hang on to my license??? She says I need an address for you. You have it, it is on my license. She says she wants a home address.WTF man? My federal benefits come to my mailing address my property taxes my 1099 my disability insurance my vehicles registration my Medicaid, Medical, two travel trailers my land and titles to three vehicles everything else I own registerd to my Tehachapi mailing address. This Leslie chic looks and acts like a freaking paranoid meth head I bet money she's got some kind of abuse in her background whether it be alcohol or drugs she's not right in the head. I am plagued with PTSD, MDD and a TBI so I just wanted to be sure it was done correctly eliminating my stress and anxiety. Well worth the $139 I was going to pay H&R Block. I sat for 5min got fed up took my license back and told her "give me a call when you get it together" Wasted my time my gas & my stress. I bought a printer on my way home started an account w TurboTax and filed on line and also mailed in my freshly printed tax returns. BTW The minimum income for filing is $12,550 so filing is required for me and my SSDI of 13,080. She couldn't even get that correct.

So I gave them my information, they charged me $45, and hopefully actually got me an extension. Today is May 10 and almost 11am. I showed up 10 mins early for my appt and the door was locked. The note on the door said they're not in normal hours because it's technically no longer tax season. Basically, they're closed. I want to point out that I called their (661) 256 # because I thought they'd be in Rosamond. But when I made my appt, they said they were in Lancaster and that I'd receive the address when I got my appt reminder. That was true, I included a screenshot to show what information I was given. I also received a text to remind me of my appt. I waited until 10:15am and just gave up. This was such a waste of time on one of my only days off in the week. I tried knocking on the door and calling their number. But both numbers send you straight to voicemail and it says they'll return your call within 72 hrs. That doesn't help me when I'm standing outside waiting for my appt that they scheduled with me. Luckily I got ahold of Premier Tax Service and I have an appt with him on Monday. I normally do not write negative reviews but this was unprofessional and a huge waste of my time.
